The shuttle service staff is very friendly. We got out of and back in to the airport in no time. The MG3 itself is serviceable but really lacks on acceleration. You need to make sure you account for the weak power on the road when overtaking. Carplay works flawlessly. Some plastic parts went missing or got whacked out of place and the staff told me it is ok. I did notice the car had some weird quirks like the ignition is locked up randomly for no reason and I must rock the steering wheel to reenable ignition. They charged us $1000 bond which is pretty high as rentals go and you should be aware of it. Bond returns on the day of return if the car passes inspection. The rental price is competitive.

Had the pleasure of hiring rental cars from them recently for my 15 years homecoming trip and the experience was amazing. I overlooked the hefty deposit of aud 1k but Fahim patiently explained to me it was in the policy and we both go through it together and alas i overlooked it, so he suggested a lower deposit to fit my budget. Also they provided shuttle bus to and fro the airport, u have to call them once u arrived, can asked from the helpful person at the information counter at the arrival hall for assistance like i did since my number cant call out to Australian numbers. John/Jack the driver was super nice and friendly, made me miss Adelaide even more. Highly reccommend their cars, resonablt priced and comfy!

I am a fairly recent convert to Enterprise but must say that each experience I’ve had in recent years has been stress-free and top of class. Luke handled our pickup at Frome Street in a very friendly but professional manner. He did all that he could to ensure we were conversant with Apple CarPlay and understood where and how we could return the car with as little drama as possible. Two days after collecting our new Skoda we were called by Luke to see how our journey was progressing and whether we had any concerns. Wow, never had that happen before! Easy to find with cars parked on the ground level of central carpark. Friendly service and good prices. The excess reduction option was a little confusing as there are 2 options. Just one would be better. They send you photos of the cars and you can also upload your own. My only suggestion to the company is to take the photographs in a decent light and you do the same when you exit the carpark as it can be somewhat dark inside to be able to see everything. The Skoda is nice car with apple car play.

Excellent Service.
Rented a car and is was a seamless experience. They are located in the city and have variety of rental vehicle options with good pricing.
The thing I liked the most is the flexibility of returning the car at the airport.
Isn’t it great, picking up the car from the city and returning it at the airport during our departure.
The also have insurance plans starting approx. 40 AUD for a day.

I visited your Adelaide branch on 15/09/25 to rent a small car for 3 days. The staff were friendly, but I was shocked by the final price I was asked to pay.
Initially, I was told the rental would cost $147, and even after adding insurance and airport return, we estimated a total around $400. However, when it came time to pay, I was suddenly charged around $863.
When I asked why, I was told the $147 was a daily rate – not for the full 3 days. Even if that’s correct, the total still felt extremely high and unreasonable.
I immediately canceled the rental and went to another company nearby, where I got the same rental for $360 with clear and honest pricing.
This was a disappointing experience, and I hope you will look into it and improve transparency in your pricing.

I recently rented a car from Europcar, and while the experience started off well, it ended on a frustrating note.
At pickup, we received a vehicle upgrade since our originally booked car wasn’t available—so far, so good. The rental itself went smoothly, and we returned the car exactly on time according to our understanding of the agreement. However, a few days later, we were hit with an unexpected charge for an extra rental day.
Apparently, Europcar claims we returned the car 32 minutes late—just 2 minutes beyond their 30-minute grace period—leading to a full extra day’s charge. This feels extremely unfair, especially considering how conveniently it was exactly 32 minutes late. It’s hard not to see this as an intentional way to squeeze extra money out of customers.
A company of Europcar’s size should have more reasonable policies, especially when such a minor delay (if it even happened) results in a significant extra charge. I’ll think twice before renting with them again, and I’d advise others to be extremely cautious with their return times—because even the slightest “delay” could cost you. At least, make sure to get a written confirmation at time of the return. In the end they know exactly when we returned the car due to the fact that we had to enter the car park where we got a ticket with a time stamp on.

Keep in mind that when you request a vehicle of your choice, you may be presented with a less desirable option (note the condition on their website: “similar vehicle if the requested vehicle is not available”).
Take pictures of all the dents and scratches, the odometer, and, most importantly, the fuel gauge, because they will charge you extra for not returning the car with a full tank despite doing so.

Booked a car for pick up at the Gold Coast airport. However, while they name the location Gold Coast Airport Car Rental, the actual location is 6km from the airport.
Apparently we were expected to get on a shuttle to their location to pick up the car, with a baby and all our luggage it was easier to cancel our booking and go with a car rental actually at the airport.
We were given only a partial refund which is how I am guessing they make a lot of their money.
It seems deliberately misleading to name your pickup locations as Gold Coast Airport if they are not in fact at the Airport.
More absurdly, they offer two pickup locations in Adelaide, the ‘Adelaide City Car Hire’ location and the ‘Adelaide Airport Car Hire’ location. Of course further digging in their website reveals both these ‘locations’ are the same place in the Adelaide CBD.
Again this seems deliberately misleading .
So if your looking to book a car from the airport to get to the cbd all you have to do is book the airport option and find your own way to the cbd to pick it up.
I’d go with a more trustworthy company like Avis who are at least where they say they are.
Also Ace said they’d supply the infant car seat but we would have to install it, while Avis just installed it for us. Altogether a better experience.
In response to the owner’s request for further details to better address these concerns. Looking at all the negative reviews saying the same thing, they should have all the information they need. To address the concerns they should give accurate titles to their pickup locations, as this would prevent customers from being misled. For instance not calling a pickup location Adelaide Airport, if it’s not at all at the airport.

Rented a car from this company and took time-stamped photos of the existing damages before driving off. Upon return, I was charged nearly $500 for the same damages clearly visible in my photos. Despite multiple requests for reimbursement, I’ve been repeatedly declined by Joana T with responses like:
“Kindly note that, following a thorough review by our damage specialist team, the charges remain as stated. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.”

We were looked after by Kylie for our first car, awesome customer service but when we exchanged the car to a larger one the chap that was behind the counter was chewing gum and no please or thank you, just said license, when I corrected him and said license please he looked at me as though he did not understand the difference. The car was not clean inside or out. As this was booked through the RACV I will be bringing this to their attention also.

Great customer service from staff who were very helpful with information about the car rental. The hybrid Toyota Yaris Cross we rented was cleab, in good condition, and gave us good fuel economy and road reliability. We’ve rented from Hertz before and will stay with them.

I rented a car in January time. We were told we had to pay a £200 deposit which was refundable after the car was returned. We returned the car with no damage and were advised the deposit would be refunded. I’m still waiting on this money being refunded 4 months later. I’ve chased hertz who have now told me I will not get this money back due to ‘fees and taxes’. Would not recommend using this company and I’m hoping someone can get in touch with me to discuss this further. Thanks

Hired a car and returned with full tank of patrol and on time. Then charged me double my fee two days later with a number of made up charges including registration charges. These guys are frauds. I will be submitting a complaint with ACCC.

Worst customer service. Used through insurance company, drove home and next morning back to drop the car off they charged me $43 for petrol when the tank was full. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Try any other hire service!

I was planning to write a glowing review however an end of hire / post hire matter has soured our experience. Unexpectedly had to hire a car at last minute, arriving from interstate and all the small cars were unavailable, so the next one up was offered at a last minute rate. (which was great) Unfortunately that car had a cracked window upon collection due to heat they said, so was promptly swapped for alternative car, however it was not cleaned. (thats ok we were in rush due to situation). happily drove that car for almost the week and then on the second last day (friday right before closing time) the engine light came on. we immediately called, were instructed by them to return it straight to them and they’ll swap it over – we were told not to worry about fuel etc, just go straight there, which we did. swapped back to original car, all nice and clean and used that for final day. I dropped off final car, no issues, the lady there was so lovely and helpful from the very start and said everything was fine, nothing else needed. no mention about the other car’s fuel, even when I enquired about said others cars engine issue etc at final drop off. my deposit was returned for a different amount the next week and when i called they said it was less the fee for refueling the original car at their nominated per litre rate. the rate is quite a bit more than we had seen advertised on a per litre basis (obviously admin fee on top of rate). Had we been instructed to, we would have quickly refueled before returning that faulty car to avoid said fees. Especially since the lady we spoke to knew our situation about the emergency car hire, having to swap the cars and our unexpected costs incurred that week due to emergency interstate visit. I’m not disagreeing with paying for fuel used, however we followed the instructions given, yet ended up paying a fee/penalty for doing so. Please improve communications and instructions moving forward.

Great, friendly, helpful, customer service. There were no dramas, no complications. Everything was so simple. I needed a car for a couple of days, while my own car was in the shop. I looked online for something cheap, and not too far from Adelaide. Many places won’t put prices online, trying to get people to call them first, but Koala’s prices were right there on their page. I rented a nice Hyundai for a measly $35 a day plus $15 insurance. Returning the car was just as straightforward, and the security deposit was back in my bank the next morning. I would certainly use this company again, and I highly recommend them.

I got a mazda 2 from here while my car was in for repairs and I didn’t want to give it back. It was a beautiful car, pristine condition, perfect handling and performance and great fuel economy. The staff were friendly and easy to deal with. I’d recommend this rental firm to anyone that needed a short or long term rental.

Very bad experience with this rental company. I was charged $1525 extra on the hairline scratch on the bumper above the exhaust pipe. While the reception said there was no crack when I got the car. They use a very low resolution photo taken with ipad as the evidence. I had no choice and lost my bond, and paid $525 extra on this.

I can’t recommend Adelaide Luxury Car Hire enough! We recently hired the Lamborghini Huracán for a14 year old boy’s birthday, and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other.
