Customer Reviews
I was a little scathing of the Hilton Adelaide in my previous review. It was because I’ve seen Hiltons from the old days (and they were definitely more luxurious). This Adelaide Hilton is quite acceptable as modern hotels go. We’re not going to see the liveried doorman wearing immaculate white gloves anymore – I accept that. (But) I can’t help myself comparing the old with the new. Modem hotels just don’t have the splendour of the old style luxury hotels.
So, bottom line, how is the Hilton? It’s fine, as upper level 3/4 star hotels go. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms (although rather small) are comfortable – rather than splendidly lavish, like they were in the 60s and 70s.
Would I stay there again? Quite possibly. I have stayed at the Mayfair in Adelaide and it was more luxurious. I was told it is being “renovated”, if this is true, I hope they don’t modernise it. Modernisation often means “making rooms smaller, more expensive and profitable”.
Adelaide is a wonderful capital city – possibly the nicest one in Australia. I needs good hotels that reflect its beauty and elegance.

We booked a room to celebrate my birthday and made an offer on the E- standby upgrade. The bid was successful. It is interesting to note that you can purchase an upgrade at reception for an ok price too. The executive lounge experience was very good. There was plenty to eat and drink. Andrija and Ryan were both so friendly and helpful. Even though it was Winter, I used the pool. The water is heated, so if there is no wind, it is pleasant. The gym is the best hotel gym anywhere.

Fantastic location. Right in the centre of the city. The room was old but very clean & great facilities.
The bed was comfortable. We had a pleasant metro view.
The function catering was really good.
They have a wonderful bar that served both excellent cocktails and coffees.
Unfortunately, that closed down the bar each night, especially when there were strong numbers of people.

This is a nice option ideally located in downtown Adelaide, a short walk from the markets.||We stayed for a few nights and were pleasantly surprised by some of the amenities. Some of the reviews rate this hotel as a bit tired, which I will agree with, but we still felt that the room nice. The breakfast was very good and room service delivered a great burger from their restaurant.

Had a 2 night mid week stay. Has been a long time since my last visit here, which began 30 years ago. The Hilton has been well refurbished. Rooms and bathrooms all modern and well maintained. Basic room has plenty of space. Building construction going on next door that impacts non street facing rooms until about 11pm during our stay, and from 7am in the morning.

The room was very comfortable and had an actual desk to work from, a bath tub, and the bed was excellent. I encourage everyone to utilise the pillow menu. The TV was easy to use and I was able to cast to television.||Gym was 24 hour access which was nice.||I was there for a work conference, the facilities were great, and I found the food served to be good, however the gluten free options were limited.||The bar and restaurant were nice, and the hotel itself is close to restaurants and shops, plus there is a tram stop just outside the hotel.||I did ask for an ergonomic chair in the conference room, and was told that one would be supplied which never was, so that was the only negative for me.||As someone who travels for work, this is one of the more comfortable and better setup hotel rooms I’ve had. Definitely recommend.

Everything was great about the hotel. We were able to checkin early which was a bonus. Our room had a wonderful view over Victoria square. Traffic noise wasn’t an issues but we did notice sirens a bit. ||The location was handy to so many things and we walked just about everywhere. Otherwise there is a bus stop just outside. ||Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food available and even sparkling wine, a bonus!

The InterContinental Adelaide offers a prime location, exceptionally well-suited for both leisure and business travellers. The hotel’s strength lies in the quality of its service; staff are consistently helpful and the general ambiance is one of calm efficiency. The breakfast options are particularly noteworthy, providing a delightful start to the day. Cleanliness is a clear priority, which significantly enhances the overall experience.
While some areas of the hotel reflect its age and could benefit from refurbishment, the gym facilities are modern and well-maintained. The bar area is a significant plus, providing a relaxed setting for evening drinks. The spaciousness of the rooms and the attention to detail in the service combine to create a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Location and service quality are definite highlights.

My experience at the accommodation was not very pleasant. Unfortunately, I encountered a significant issue with bed bugs, which made my stay quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the air conditioning unit in my room was malfunctioning, and despite bringing this to the staff’s attention, no corrective measures were taken to resolve the issue during my stay.
On a brighter note, the breakfast buffet was truly impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options that helped start my day on a positive note. However, I still feel that the overall experience was not worth the money.
On the positive side, the toilet was very clean, and the staff provided dental kit essentials daily without needing to be asked multiple times. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth as well.

Have been staying at the hotel for 6 nights with a 6-months-old. The location next to the river and the stuff members are great! The restaurant downstairs is pleasant, however, the building and the rooms & the furniture are old. They could at least replace the couch that has seen a lot, the bed/mattress is quite comfortable. The pool is heated which is nice, the hotel is 5 stars but doesn’t have neither sauna, no jacuzzi. The gym is good and open 24/7 but all the equipment is old, at least the yoga mats could be replaced with new ones due being in a very used/bad condition. Overall 4 stars, due the reasons I’ve mentioned.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the InterContinental Adelaide, overall, it was a positive experience. The hotel boasts a convenient location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area & a good locaiotin for my business activities.
While the hotel does show signs of age and could benefit from some modern updates, it is exceptionally clean, and all services are functioning perfectly. This attention to cleanliness is commendable and contributes significantly to the comfort of guests. The gym particulary has good facilties and is in good order.
The hotel bar is a highlight, offering a nice atmosphere for relaxation and socializing, though it is on the pricier side. It’s an ideal spot for enjoying a drink at the end of the day.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although they echo the hotel’s dated aesthetic. Personally, I found the bed to be a bit too hard for my liking, but I understand that comfort preferences vary.
One of the standout aspects of my stay was the attentive service throughout the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met during my visit, in particular the breakfast service and offerings.
Overall, considering the price, cleanliness, comfortable & environment, I would not hesitate to stay at the InterContinental Adelaide again. It’s a solid choice for anyone.

Big hotel. The breakfast was amazing. The room was big and comfortable. The air conditioning was a bit hard to navigate. Room service was good as was the daily cleaning. The restaurant/bar area was busy, loud on a Friday/Saturday as people going to the football/events gathered. A separate area is needed for people wanting a quiet dinner.

My review is exclusive for the concierge service, particularly Alex. I live in Adelaide and travel frequently for work, staying at the International Hotel in other Australian capital cities.
Yesterday, my car experienced a flat tyre very quickly down to the rim and there was nowhere to pull over on North Terrace. My vehicle was barely drivable as I approached the hotel.
I drove into the turning bay and Alex was very helpful and welcoming, allowing us to park the car and arrange for road side assistance.
We were running late for a theatre performance my son was in and needed to get him there before the show. This meant leaving the car at the hotel for 5 hours. Alex was very calm, when we weren’t feeling very calm ourselves, and we very much appreciated his kindness and service. Thank you.

It didn’t start well – a 20 minute wait sitting in the car in the driveway until the valet parking people got to me. Then I waited 25 minutes in the line to check in at the front desk no line for IHG priority members to be seen. With the line not moving I asked the concierge if I could check in at the executive lounge… he made a phone call and that was fine.
After this everything was great. The room is furnished in an older style but is kept very well and is a wonderful size. Great shower pressure as well which is nice.
The executive lounge has an old-style club feel and the evening canapes and morning breakfast there were great.
I have to single out Daniel and Yuki in the executive lounge… Both offered fantastic service and are a real asset to the team there. When I was feeling grumpy about the arrival experience Daniel made everything better in a flash. I will definitely come back again however I do have to take one star off for the awfully slow valet service and lack of organization upon arrival with regards to checking in – especially for a high level loyalty member.

The building is beginning to show its age and could benefit from a refurbishment. While the room was spacious, its layout wasn’t the most user-friendly—for instance, the TV was positioned awkwardly, making viewing less comfortable.
However, what truly elevates the experience here is the outstanding service. The lounge offerings were a highlight: hearty breakfasts, barista coffees, delightful canapés, and refreshing mocktails made especially for us. A heartfelt thank you to Daniel and his team for their warm hospitality and attention to detail.
The hotel’s convenient location also adds to its appeal, making it a great base for exploring the city.

Overall, this is a solid four-and-a-half stars from me. |The good: I really appreciated my room on the 16th floor with its views out towards the Adelaide Hills – thank you! The location is pretty good too, close to North Terrace and not too far from the trams and buses. The room is very nice and clean and modern, and I appreciated the very comfortable bed, the excellent blackout curtains and the generous desk running along the window.|On the room for improvement front, I would love some storage to be able to put clothes away. To my mind, a couple of drawers under the desk would be a great use of space. I’d happily consider this a priority over a huge TV screen which I barely used. And I would quite like a comfortable chair rather than an office chair as well. But these are minor quibbles for what has been a very nice stay.

Our early evening check in was quick, efficient and friendly but our stay went downhill after that.|We each ordered 2 pieces of toast for our evening snack, but it took the kitchen 40 minutes with 2 enquiries to make it. |We saw other people who arrived after us being served before us. |Our room was fine, nice big bed, but the bathroom could do with more shelving.|The aircon is set at 20 degrees and doesn’t seem to be able to be charged so we spent a very hot uncomfortable night trying to sleep.|Breakfast was great with lots of choice.

The hotel is well-located. I walked to most places that I wanted to go, despite the free tram, from Chinatown to the Botanic Garden, from the Oval to Rundle Mall. Many food options around the hotel. Hotel room was basic but comfortable. My room on the 11th floor had a big window and clean glass pane which afforded me a good view. Would come back again!

Ottimo hotel. Moderno. Molto pulito e curato. Forse le camere un po’ piccole e i vetri permettevano il rumore della strada, altrimenti era da 5 stelle. Personale top. Parcheggio a 28$ a notte nelle vicinanze.

The Pullman Adelaide offers a fantastic central location, making it easy to explore the city. Rooms are consistently reported as well-appointed and comfortable, providing a relaxing base after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet is a significant highlight, lauded for its variety and quality, offering something for everyone. The hotel boasts excellent amenities and a professional reception team.
While generally positive, some improvements could elevate the experience. A warmer, more personable service style would greatly enhance the overall atmosphere. Enhancing the attentiveness of restaurant staff and ensuring consistent provision of expected room amenities, like proper shower gel, are crucial to maintaining a truly exceptional standard. This hotel offers great value for money.

Another wonderful stay at Pullman Adelaide where the staff are fantastic, the rooms are modern, clean and well appointed, very central location, the bar is great, and the buffet breakfast is excellent. I am especially grateful for the gluten free station and toaster at breakfast and all the clearly labelled options. I am very impressed with this hotel and will return next time I’m in Adelaide.

Had a great stay in this hotel. Room size was good, clean and all facilities available. Reception and concierge were helpful and always available to give directions and advice. Breakfast was a good mix (something for everyone) and very well cooked. Coffe was slow at times when ordered. Lounge bar and reception good. Good central location, would stay here again.

Location is great and hotel reception is professional and well presented. Breakfast buffet was accommodating and good, especially coffee and omelette staff.
However, some aspects need improvement. Room service staff and resturant staff attendance and presentation. Missing or broken amenities, missing cutlery for room service. We dropped a fork whilst dining and even though the staff nearby saw this, we had to ask for a replacement.

The location is great. Rooms are nice and comfortable.
The only thing I missed was a human touch. No one smiles at Parc the restaurant. Its looks like everything is a job and no emotions. It’s all business. A smile would be nice.
And the room shower gel was not a shower gel but a hand wash which we realised on the second last day of the trip.
Hotel is good but need to learn how to be not robotic.

Excellent experience for a one night family Father’s Day staycation. Staff wee really pleasant and well presented. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that there was no white wine in our mini bar. We notified reception immediately who said they would note it. The wine was not replaced. After check out where again I informed them of the issue, we travelled home and I received a phone call questioning if we had consumed the wine. I explained the situation which was accepted. All together though it was a very good stay and experience.

I booked via a third party site a very good deal of $200 a night for a couple, inclusive of breakfast, parking and late check-out. Given the cost of parking ($35 a day) and the breakfast, this meant a relatively cheap price for the room itself.|On arrival I was disappointed that, for a 5 star hotel, there was no assistance with luggage from the car to Reception, or from Reception to the room. I was given incorrect information about the off-site parking (needing a new ticket each day, not multiple day use of one ticket as I was advised), but I read the information provided so that didn’t become an embarrassing problem on exiting the carpark on the last day.|The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Our ‘City View’ was of the nearby multi-storey carpark (I was on Level 6), but presumably the upper floors have better views. The usual Accor ‘pillow menu’ ensured a good night sleep. The mini-bar had the usual excessively-priced contents, but there is a supermarket 100m to the west, and a ‘pub’ hotel 50m to the south. Tip – the use of the Keurig/ Nespresso pods in the room costs extra. The powdered coffee doesn’t.|The breakfast was (for Westerners) outstanding, with a huge choice, which staff managed to keep warm (for the appropriate dishes) without the food becoming dry or stale. One problem was the egg station isn’t manned and it takes forever (about 20 minutes) to get your fried eggs or omlette. On the second morning my self-written order was still sitting on the counter when I left (still eggless) when I had completed dining 30 minutes after putting the order on the counter. However, the poached eggs in the chaffing dish were eggcellent, as was the scrambled eggs on the first morning (not available on the second morning).|The breakfast food was well-labelled, allowing those with religious considerations appropriate choices (although on reflection, I don’t recall seeing margarine, just butter). For diabetics, non-sugar sweetener is provided.|Asian guests would find the breakfast food offerings very unsatisfactory – not even any rice porridge, let alone any fried noodles.|The room bathroom was spacious and clean, and additional towels were provided promptly when requested. Asian and European guests may be disappointed by the lack of a bidet facility for the toilet.|Guest Services was very prompt and efficient – when we requested the room be serviced while we were at breakfast, the cleaner and trolley were arriving at our door as we walked out 1 minute later.|Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing experience.

We visit Adelaide every year for business and usually stay in five-star hotels. This year, we decided to try this one, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a big disappointment and is definitely not up to the standard of other hotels in the same category in the city.
We stayed eight nights in a Junior Suite Studio: at first glance, the room seemed pleasant, but we experienced several issues:
Poor climate control: when we arrived, the temperature in the room was 17°C and it wasn’t possible to increase it. Throughout our stay, we had to use an electric heater in the bathroom because the radiator was undersized, and without the air conditioning running constantly, the room quickly became cold.
Lack of cleanliness: the carpet was never vacuumed during our entire 8-day stay. Combined with the outdated air conditioning system, this caused me asthma problems throughout the visit, while my husband developed a sore throat.
Limited services: the room had no coat rack, the minibar was never restocked, and the bath salts for the bathtub were not replenished. Moreover, housekeeping was often delayed — several times, even past 1 PM, the room still hadn’t been cleaned despite my repeated requests.
Unpleasant view: for a Junior Suite, we expected at least a decent outlook, but instead, our room faced the wall of the opposite building, which made the atmosphere feel closed and uninviting.
Disappointing breakfast: for a five-star hotel, it’s truly embarrassing. The buffet is very limited, with hardly any dessert options, and the overall quality is far below what you would expect from a hotel of this category.
I regret having to write such a negative review, but those who choose a five-star hotel do so expecting comfort, quality, and impeccable service. Unfortunately, this property falls well short of those standards.

Absolutely loved this hotel. From the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out, the service was impeccable. The rooms are spacious, stylishly decorated and super comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I wanted to head to bed early just to enjoy it for longer. There is a nice gym with decent equipment and a small, heated pool. There is also a coin laundry in the basement, which is very handy! The location is also super convenient – very close to great shops and restaurants in the city centre.||I also highly recommend the restaurant – Luma. Both breakfast and dinner were superb.

We had a wonderful stay at the Playford while staying in Adelaide for a wine tour. Bonika was very helpful in booking our stay which started a couple of days earlier than our tour started and for a couple of days after.|Fortunately we were able to stay in the same room which was a suite on the 6th floor facing the front of the hotel which was quiet and an excellent view over downtown.|On the later part of our tour we returned to the hotel again for a couple of nights but stayed in a plain room on the 4th floor on the side street which and was a bit noisy.|One of the best employees was Dylan, the barista in the morning, who was very friendly and accommodating to us every day. He was fun to talk to and took care of us every morning with his delicious cappuccino. If he saw us he would make sure he said good morning and serve us our delicious drink every morning.|Breakfast was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed the passion fruit which is hard to find back home.|While staying in town, we found the buses and trams were very easy to use and also free in town. We knew there were Pandas at the zoo and had to see them which we really enjoyed. They have free guides at the zoo every 30 minutes or so who showed us around and saw things we would have missed.|We also went to Coopers brewery downtown and the farmers market which were all great.|Our wine tour through the south Australia wine regions and our tour guide Charles were excellent and is a another story.|Sorry it took so long to write a review but glad we were able to experience Adelaide and stay at the Playford.

Amazing location in the heart of Adelaide.
I love the option of two queen beds in the same room, great for family stay kids.
Staff was extremely helpful and nice, always went above and beyond.
Breakfast buffet was simple, but sensational quality.
Everything was clean.
Indoor pool with spa and sauna is a great option for cooler days.
The only minor thing was that there was a super loud party somewhere nearby on a Saturday night – obviously not the hotels fault, so I still rate it 10/10, but just a heads up that is happens 🙂

I had a fantastic stay at The Playford Hotel.
The hotel itself is beautiful, elegant design with a classic feel, but also fresh and modern where it matters. I stayed in one of the suites, which was massive, stylish, and very comfortable.
The service was excellent throughout, professional, welcoming, and always helpful. I had lunch at the restaurant, which was absolutely delicious, and the bar area is stunning, a perfect spot to unwind with a drink.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It’s a great hotel with charm, comfort, and great hospitality all around.

A stunning hotel, from the moment you walk in it has luxury and upmarket feel. Room was Evelyn appointed, bed was very comfortable and large bathroom. The was very stylish and most importantly very quiet considering if its in a main city road. The roof top bar is the perfect place to eat and drink the afternoon away, with nice views. Great location.

Excellent service from all staff. Attentiveness and polite. Clear communication on arrival. Ambience in hotel lobby, room perfect, buffet simple standard fair but good quality food. Variety enough for the small crowd staying in. Staff were friendly and prompt with our needs. Only 1 day after collecting our breakfast we asked if like usual the staff could place our coffee orders but she replied there a machine up front to help ourselves. Otherwise definitely return to the hotel for my trips to Adelaide.

Beautiful rooms very very comfortable beds – 10/10.
The service staff weren’t particularly helpful, Id made a mistake with my booking and they weren’t able to rectify. I went onto booking.com and was able to rebook. Id expect more from the hotel front of house.
If the rooms weren’t so comfy I would have rated lower than 4 stars.

Review of Stay at Stamford Plaza Adelaide (24–28 August 2025)The hotel enjoys an excellent location right in Adelaide’s city centre. The front desk staff made a strong impression, especially Luke and Iris, who went above and beyond during my stay. On 25 August, when I developed a skin allergy, Luke responded swiftly, recommending a nearby clinic and checking in on my condition with genuine care. Iris was equally attentive — she quickly resolved an air-conditioning issue by arranging a room change, and later, when the lifts were out of order, she promptly guided guests to use the staff lift. Their professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated. Overall, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment to match the outstanding service provided by its staff. However, while the service was commendable, the rooms did not meet basic five-star standards. Cleanliness was below expectations, and the shower design caused water to spill into the toilet area. Overall, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment to match the outstanding service provided by its staff.

Older hotel retrofitted in excellent central location. Windows had double glazing added so minimal road noise. Could hear people talking loudly in room next door. Older tiled bathroom. Cool light sensors in bathroom and at bed base if you got up in the night. Very spacious. Bed comfy. Safe too small for laptop.

Dear Stamford Plaza Adelaide Team,
I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful experience I had during my recent stay with my kids for three nights. From the moment we arrived, your staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home.
I particularly wanted to commend Kulpreet, the hotel manager, for the outstanding service we received throughout our stay. The thoughtful gesture of arranging my birthday present was truly appreciated and made our visit even more special.
I would gladly give 5 stars to your hotel for its quality service and family-friendly atmosphere. We were so happy that we are already looking forward to our next visit!
Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience.
Best regards
Ash Singh

If I could give this review zero stars I would. |This stay was for five nights – we checked out in less than 24 hours and relocated to the Sofitel hotel.|Stamford is ‘self rated’ 5 star hotel… really??? Based upon our experience I would think they would struggle to achieve three stars on an independent review.|This hotel NEEDS a renovation desperately.|The quality of room was poor, the breakfast would be an embarrassment to any hotel of quality. |We booked this stay via Qantas and have sent a complaint back to them about the description of this hotel and services.|I spoke at length to the Front Office Manager as I checked out with four days stay still paid for. To his credit he listened and was apologetic – but the fact is, this is a sub-standard hotel with poor facilities and very low quality standards. ||If you are reading this and thinking of staying… I suggest you look elsewhere.||A five star self-rating is a nonsense and very misleading. ||Even the hotels own website and TV info, let alone the pictures in the lift showing a lovely breakfast are a nonsense.||My wife was too embarrassed when I wanted to take pictures of the food on offer at the breakfast buffet – so I didn’t take any. ||We will chase Qantas for a refund as none was offered by the hotel… a waste of our first day in Adelaide.

Rooms and bathroom needed updating, you could hear all the traffic and we were on floor 8.
Lobby and breakfast area were very good. Great selection of breakfast items, we especially loved the pancakes. Fabulous location for train, busses and walking around the city. Staff were polite.

Reflections of a very enjoyable stay were temporarily ruined when my wife and I realised that we had left a precious book behind in our hotel room. But no worries. A call to the Front desk led to its recovery and return by courier. Well done by all staff. We will certainly stay there again (and try to leave cleanly).

I really enjoyed my stay here. I liked the entrance with its little touch of calming greenery and and the interior was welcoming and modern. The room I stayed in had an abundance of space and was nicely designed and well lit, not to mention super comfortable and very clean. Oh, and there is a power point within easy reach next to the bed. That’s always a plus! The bathroom was equally as spacious and luxurious and had a bath which was also a bonus. There was also a little balcony outside. The hotel is very close to a variety of restaurants, there’s a handy convenience store right across the road, a small mall and subway a stone’s throw beyond that, and the city’s extensive and effortless bus network close by. I was staying for business, but it was a rare moment where I wished my stay was a little longer! It was the first time I have stayed here and it is now my new place to stay in Adelaide thanks to its great quality at a reasonable price. I’ll be back!

The staff (reception as well as housekeeping) were warm and friendly yet professional. I liked the room too. However, there was no drinking water in the room. I feel that’s a basic. There should be complementary drinking water in the room wheather or not a member, atleast one bottle.
My overall stay was nice and comfortable. I enjoyed being there.
Thank you for your hospitality 🙂

I had an incredible stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and spotless – even better than expected. Kyle, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and the entire staff were amazing – always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The pool and gym facilities are absolutely stunning, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment of the stay. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and exceptional service!
Thanks, Anthony and Barkley

I stayed here during a business trip and unfortunately found the workspace setup lacking—desks had TVs sitting on top, making it difficult to work effectively even after upgrading rooms. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The rooms were clean and well maintained, the restaurant served fantastic meals, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my stay. If you’re traveling for leisure, it’s a great spot—but business travelers may want to confirm room layout details beforehand

Exceptional Stay at Peppers Waymouth!
I had a truly wonderful experience at Peppers Waymouth Hotel. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a perfect mix of comfort and elegance. The bed was super comfortable and the city views were a lovely touch.
What stood out most was the attention to detail—from the smooth check-in process to the little in-room amenities that made the stay feel special. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Adelaide, with easy access to great cafes, shops, and cultural spots.
Highly recommend this hotel for both leisure and business stays. I’ll definitely be back!

Lovely location and the staff were very friendly but a few things fell short.| Check in staff, although friendly didn’t really explain much, location of breakfast, location of pool etc |Lack of signage in regards to pool, spa needs repairs.|Lack of robes and slippers in the room|U could hear the lift going up and down in our room |Went to the restaurant just for drinks and the person directed us to sit at the tall tables but didn’t give us a drinks menu or even say they would be back to take an order, wasn’t sure if we went to the small bar and order ourselves.|Breakfast was lovely, a good selection of pastries and egg selections (omelettes were lovely) but it was a bit lacking in the hot selection if you didn’t eat meat, no hash browns, mushrooms, tomatoes etc

Holiday Inn Express Adelaide City Centre offers a convenient location for exploring the city. The rooms are generally well-maintained and provide a comfortable stay. A key benefit is the included breakfast, providing a good start to the day with a varied selection of foods. The staff appear to be helpful and willing to assist with guest needs, contributing to a positive overall experience.
The hotel presents a good value option, particularly for those seeking a central location and a reliable standard of accommodation. While rooms may be somewhat compact, they are functional and clean. The proximity to public transport makes getting around easy and is a real advantage. It is a good base for both leisure and business travellers.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Easy to get to from the airport, bus stop 10 and takes about 25 minutes and then a 5 minute walk. Yes, it is near all the massage parlours but it is central.|Lovely welcome at reception, friendly and helpful staff. Room was spotless and small but adequate for our needs.|Varied breakfast was included in price. Happy hour 5-7pm with house wine and beer at AUD$ 5 per glass!|Thank you for our stay, we will definitely return.

Reasonably priced. Rooms are a tad small but still ok. The street is a bit noisy on weekends as places close by play music (not excessively loud) but it was quiet by midnight. Parking next door is really handy and you can park and unload in front of hotel first. Breakfast was simple, bacon, scrambled eggs, sometimes sausages sometimes hashies. Porridge cereals croissants, toast, basic fruit and yoghurt. plenty and attendants were always cleaning and replacing food. Staff were happy and obliging. Great location for tram and cbd.

Quite clean and new in general.
Rooms are in good size for two people. Walk-in shower is not my favourite. Once the light is on the whole room is lit up through the glass panel.
Staff are generally ok and willing to help. Buffet breakfast is good. Overall is value for money.

Posizione ottima
Colazione normale, non eccellente

Best part was the restaurant staff .
Especially Jasmine and the other girls on in the mornings for breakfast.
Helped us with anything we needed.
Room was very noisy on Thursday night from hindley Street.
Checked out Friday morning as would have been worse Friday night.
Coffee machine to use for breakfast was only making barely warm coffee.
One of the lovely staff in the restaurant… Jasmine.. took our coffees both days and heated them for us in the kitchen…
Jasmine and the other restaurant staff were very good and very kind.
Nothing any trouble if you needed help with something.

Location is great and room is clean & very spacious with a huge toilet. However room for improvement is the customer service 1stly they didn’t reply my email of late check in and 2ndly when i managed to reach here the following day and front desk is not helpful at all when I have difficulty in access to their suggested parking building. In short, facilities are good but not feel any hospitality at all.

I had a lovely 6 night stay at the Holiday Inn. The room was compact but had everything I needed for my stay. I liked that the TV had chrome cast to stream TV and movies. The staff were friendly and housekeeping was great. I chose the hotel due to its convenient location. You can walk to the train station, Rundle Mall and the art gallery. Breakfast was very busy, lots of people and the hot food was actually cold, so I stuck to the cereal and fresh fruit. I would recommend the Holiday Inn.

What a surprise. Flew in early evening and thought we’d have a quick bite at this clean and comfortable but budget hotel. And after having to wait for a table to be free we had one of the better meals in a much travelled existence. All the food was excellent, the lady serving delightful and professional-and the boss man has his own vinyard, with great quality and very good value bottles on the list. Sadly they were full on the next day and closed Sunday, but if you’re in town and appreciate it when a restaurant gets it right, you couldn’t do much better for the price anywhere

The staff at The Rydges were so welcoming- their complimentary shuttle service to the Royal Adelaide Show made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. This was made even better by the service being available from 7am-7pm, as our students were required to be there by 7.30am. Wonderful venue, well located and kind staff. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience!

Was a nice clean room, bed was a little hard, requested a room with a bath, didn’t get one.Food was beautiful but breakfast was late, not the complete order and was cold. Bathroom electrics were a little concerning with sparks thrown from switch. Front staff were very friendly but I don’t think I’d stay there again

The building itself is very old and tired, feel like i’ve gone back to the 2000’s.
I didn’t stay there so cant comment on the rooms, but i’m not inclined to stay there.
Had an education dinner and the food and service was brilliant!

Lovely, clean, comfortable hotel. |We stayed here as part of our trip to Kangaroo Island. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable and the breakfast was great. The hotel is 1km to the tram, there is a pub literally around the corner called The Elephant & Castle that does great food. Adelaide is surrounded by parkland, plus you can get the tram into town. We also spent a short time at Brighton Beach which was lovely. The staff are very helpful too.
