I appreciate the focus on genuine parts and solutions rather than quick fixes. Thanks Matt; great to see you, and the store up and running in the new location; - (ie - they are literally just around the corner from their old location! ) The switch you recommended did the job and fixed the problem - saved a $70 rechargeable camping fan from the scrap heap with an $8 switch! nice Happy new year to you and yours; Ps - And thanks @Colemanaustralia for using CHEAP parts that don’t last in a pricey fan!!
Took my 10yo niece and 6yo nephew to their introductory kids workshop. Don the workshop facilitator was so patient, informative and funny! Great way to get children to think about coding, logic and STEM. All the equipment was provided and the children ended up teaching their grandfather how to do it (when he was the other adult supervising)! Will be enrolling the kids in next term’s program and kids have already started researching kits.
I highly recommend Aztronics. My solar hot water service controller stopped working and I could see the relay had again burnt out. Aztronics supplied a replacement but the "chatter" on the relay persisted. More testing suggested the relay needed to be a 24v coil. But again this one chattered too. The gentleman on Aztronics picked up on the photo I had of the circuit board and suggested a capacitor had failed. He was right! Electronics circuit diagnosis from a photo - now that’s what I call an expert! New capacitor supplied and bingo, hot water service controller up and running. Aztronics - my go to store for sure.
Always good to get useful stuff. No farting salt and pepper shakers to be seen . I just hope they keep on going longer than I will! Ben is always helpful and actually knows what he's talking about..
Is Aztronics still around or have they closed down? I have sent emails with no response and tried to phone and it just rings out.
Awesome old-school electronics shop with old farts that actually *KNOW* what they're talking about and are willing to wade through a circuit diagram with me and sell me parts so I can finish my project for work. Dearly wish we had this back here in NSW. So much better than the spotty faced mouth breathing teen with questionable dental habits in Jay**r that that looks blankly at you and wonders why you won't just buy something like the farting santa or other and stop asking him questions.
I've tried contacting aztronics many times with no success. Only once I spoke to someone on the phone, usually goes to answering machine. You have to physically go to the store if you want to speak to someone.
