Customer Reviews
I recently dined on the 30/8 and really enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious — the biryani in particular was a generous serve and close to authentic Hyderabad style. We had two curries, rice, 2 garlic naan, the biryani, and a couple of drinks, which came to $120. Prices are a little higher than your average Indian restaurant, but the quality, portions, and service make it worthwhile.

Chakna Tandoori Bites offers a vibrant and unique Indian dining experience. We loved the spacious seating and the lively, modern ambiance. The variety in dishes is impressive, with something for everyone, and our food was truly delicious. Plus, the friendly service made the whole visit even better. Highly recommend for a fun and flavourful night out!

I had the pleasure of ordering takeaway from Chakna Indian Restaurant on Rundle Street in Adelaide and was absolutely blown away – not just by the food, but by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the owners: a beautiful family team of husband, wife and their son. Their friendliness and genuine hospitality made me feel like more than just a customer – I felt like I was a guest in their home.
I ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan, and let me tell you – it was divine. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, while the naan was soft, flavourful with perfectly crispy edges. Every bite was a reminder of how authentic Indian food should taste.
What truly set Chakna apart was how the family went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and happy. Their service was heartfelt, not just professional, and it added so much warmth to the meal.
If you’re in Adelaide and craving Indian cuisine that’s full of flavour and served with heart, do yourself a favour and visit Chakna! It’s not just a meal – it’s an experience.

Chakna is an amazing experience, have been eating regularly there since they’ve opened. For a new business I’ve been surprised at how high the quality of their food is, the chef’s and staff know how to make great Indian good. Also as a cocktail/drink lover their bar set up is stunning. I appreciate the restaurant’s attention to detail on the design and atmosphere, and they are in a beautiful location too, on the classic Rundle Street precinct. The business is very inclusive and accommodating to all people, you’ll see an array of people enjoying food and drinks which is something I personally love seeing. Family run, they are very passionate, and the staff are great and personable. What else can I say. Chakna, keep it up because you are a sleeping giant in the hospitality space.

Customer Reviews
I’d always wanted to try this place because of its high rating and it didn’t disappoint. The vibe is fantastic, and I especially love the chairs in the open area. I went for lunch when it was busy; they initially offered me a bar stool or a table tucked away at the back, but I mentioned I preferred the front yard and was happy to wait. Andy was very accommodating and prepared a table for us as soon as one became available.
Kudos to Andy! Though I have to say, on my second visit, the rest of the staff weren’t as friendly.
Now, the food absolutely incredible. We ordered the set menu, which is amazing value. The harissa chicken was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour, while the pumpkin dish was simply divine. Hats off to the chef!
I’ll definitely keep coming back for my Friday lunches and can’t wait to try everything on the menu. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

We gad a great experience here for my partners birthday. I believe that the lady that served us was Ava or Eva. I couldn’t quite catch her name on the way out, but she did a lovely job. Very natural and genuinely nice person. The food was great and the cocktail was delicious. Thanks so much all!

Thanks all staff!! Exceptional service from start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food was absolutely scrumptious, with generous portion sizes. We opted to order our own food, however the feed me menu looked like great value too. The scallops were a standout, they were so delicious we had to order a second round! The ambience was warm and inviting, making for a lovely night out. Looking forward to returning soon. Huge thanks to all the staff for making our evening so enjoyable!

A busy restaurant with a nice and open atmosphere, dined during lunch time. The food was quick to come out, decent proportions. The corn ribs were flavoursome. The cauliflower was the highlight, the sauce was creamy and had a little spice to it. The fried chicken was crispy though there was not much flavour to it. You had to dip it in the sauce to have any sort of taste. The salad was quite refreshing and cut through the heaviness of the main dishes which were the cauliflower and chicken dish. The staff were also friendly.

TLDR: Highly recommend coming to this restaurant!
Overall, it was a great experience both on the food and service sides. The dishes combined unique flavors (with an Asian touch) and were plentiful. I especially want to highlight the plant dishes (i.e., corn, broccoli and pumpkin). In addition, the waitresses were super nice, attentive and helpful (e.g., one of them even gave us a list of restaurant/café/bar recommendations). We ordered the „Feed me – For a long time” surprise menu option and a wine and received:
– Fried corn ribs
– 1/2 shell scallops
– Anchovy toast
– Chicken parm croquettes
– Popcorn broccoli
– Slow cooked pork scotch
– Steak chips
– Sticky soy glazed pumpkin
– White chocolate semi freddo

Plus 82 GoGi offers a truly immersive Korean BBQ dining experience. The concept itself, allowing diners to cook at their table, is engaging and creates a fun, social atmosphere. The quality of the meat selection is exceptional, and the accompanying side dishes provide a delightful complement to the main courses.
The restaurant is well-organized and benefits from a modern aesthetic. The staff appear to be knowledgeable and prepared to guide those unfamiliar with the grilling process. The overall value is excellent, especially for groups seeking a unique and memorable culinary adventure.

Myself and a group of friends visited in the evening to celebrate a birthday and we all had the most incredible time! The meal was so delicious, I cannot rave about the food enough. The meat, salads, rice, veg are all amazing.
It was our first time eating Korean BBQ as the staff were so helpful, polite and attentive. They were also quite the showmen/women with fun and extravagant drink displays throughout the night. They caught wind it was our friends birthday and surprised us with sparklers and icecreams too! We left full and happy, and I’d definitely go back for another special night!

Tried 82 GoGi for the first time, and it was a fantastic K-BBQ experience. Loved the convenient online ordering system, and the staff were very helpful. All the barbecue meats were flavorful and I enjoyed all the side dishes too, especially the kimchi fried rice. The hip modern vibes and the K-pop playing in the background were added bonuses, taking me back to Seoul!

Feed me deal for $65 is such great value. Best quality meats and side dishes! Dont worry about the quantity because there’ll lots of variety of food to fill you up. It will definitely fill you up plus more.
P.s. They gave us free Soju bombs to finish the whole experience!
Will definitely come back next time!

Perhaps this is one of the best Korean BBQ restaurant in Adelaide. A set for two will make you full. Try the shake shake rice and fries it with the BBQ stove to make it hotter and crispy (my way), delicious. The pork are well marinated and there a plenty of dishes to try.

We had the set menu A for 2 and it was pretty good. Definitely recommend the Galbi beef ribs as they were tender and well marinated. The salads and kimchi were delicious too. The rice was a bit blank while the spicy noodle salad was quite saucy and I ended up mix them together which turned out pretty good. The grill can get burnt easily after a while and some meat were burnt as we didn’t turn them over regularly though.

Good service and meals were served quickly. Quantity was great, plenty of sauce. Seafood was a little on small side, for example small bugs and prawns but as it’s seasonal I guess that’s expected and I am from Queensland so expectations were high. We had a nice nice still

I tried the mixed bag for the first time yesterday, and I was thoroughly satisfied. I went with the Sha-bang sauce at a mild spice level, and it was flavorful without being too greasy or fishy. We couldn’t quite finish the mixed bag since it was just the two of us, but we thought the portion size would be perfect for about three adults to enjoy a filling meal.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, always smiling and happy to explain the menu in detail. I asked for a mallet to crack the crab shells, but they kindly explained that none were available at the time and apologized sincerely. Thanks to their service, we were still able to end our meal on a good note. (I ended up taking the crab home and enjoyed it later!)
I’m definitely planning to come back soon to try a different sauce next time.
P.S. If there’s a way to manage the restroom odor on the first floor, it would really elevate the overall dining experience — we were seated at a table relatively close to the restroom and could occasionally notice the smell.

We had in general a good dining experience. We came in for the $99 seafood bag deal. The shrimps, pipis were fresh, the blue swimmers were kinda okay but that’s expected eating at a seafood chain restaurant. Sauce was a bit salty to my taste. Staffs were friendly and very helpful.

A novel experience but very crowed and noisy… quantity over quality but still was good to do it once. Is recommend it for a once off… in saying that we went on the busy night as there is the platter at a cheaper price so maybe other nights might feel different

We had the messiest (in the best way!) seafood feast. No cutlery, just gloves, aprons, and good vibes. The food was packed with flavour.
And if it’s your birthday month, you get a FREE Shrimp Martini (such a cute surprise!).
Perfect spot for birthdays, group dinners, or just something different. Highly recommend giving it a go!

Cracking spot. Incredible selection of drinks and the staff and service was superb.
Oli mixed me a Dark and Stormy and then lit it on fire, it was so something else. He then proceeded to give us some great local insight to bars and restaurants in the area. Expert level service.
Don’t miss this spot.

Situated in the back streets of Adelaide and can be a little hard to find, on entrance the bar looks fabulous full of quirky ornaments and objects. We came on a Sunday and this was the only bar on our pub crawl that charged a Sunday charge (which I do understand it helps to cover costs, but…). I knew it was a cigar bar, but the smell was overwhelming, so be warned. The cocktail list was great and they were tasty, but there are so many buts for me. There are so many great bars in the back streets and this evening just didn’t make me want to rush back.

An overdue review. We were here during the Easter Break. So glad we did, in fact we were here twice in 4 days. The service was excellent from the servers to the cashier. Food was delicious, especially the fish, it was fresh and fried to perfection. Price was reasonable too! Next time we are in Adelaide, we know where to get authentic Indonesian food.

I visited Pandok Daun a few times. The food quality was always good, quite big portion, and absolutely delicious. The price level was very reasonable.
I have only visited Bali, Indonesia, one time. I would say some dishes are very close to those I tried before when I lived in Hong Kong. There were over 160,000 Indonesians living in Hong Kong, so I believed those Indonesian restaurants in Hong Kong were pretty authentic.
This was the best Indonesian restaurant that I ever tried in Australia. I am happy to recommend it to my friends, colleagues and anyone who likes Indonesian food.

I ordered the takeaway fried chicken with crispy flakes ( Ayam kremes ), and it was absolutely delicious. Even after keeping it in a container for two hours, the crispy flakes stayed crunchy, the vegetables were still fresh, and the chicken was still so tasty.
I really loved the belacan sauce — it’s spicy, but so addictive that I couldn’t stop eating!
As a cabin crew member, I often bring food back to my room, but I usually never finish it — not even the instant noodles I bring from my home country. But this meal was different. This was my first flight to Adelaide, and your food made me forget I was here. It truly felt like I was back in Indonesia. Thank you for such a heartwarming meal! Semoga success selalu ya! The food is truly phenomenal! The service has been great both times, the atmosphere is lovely, but the food really is the utter highlight.

Excellent service, attentive and accommodating staff. We ordered oysters, sirloin, squid ink pasta, and greens. Good amount for what we paid for. We particularly enjoyed the squid ink pasta as it was not overpowering but with fresh flavors. The greens were also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The steak was good but I think we should have had it rare.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Adelaide. I was lucky to get a booth, which was great for a family meal. The delicious smell from the kitchen as I arrived set the mood right away. Every dish, from the starters to dessert, was full of flavor and well made.
I recommend the beef carpaccio to start, the blue swimmer crab tagliatelle for the main, and the tiramisu affogato for dessert. The wine list is also great. I enjoyed it so much, I ended up having lunch here twice a week.

Was visiting from Melbourne for the weekend and had an amazing meal at Osteria Oggi, table for one.
The menu was very interesting to me, haven’t seen anything similar in Melbourne yet (if you know of any, please let me know)
I ordered the pappardelle with chicken heart and chicken liver, however had initially received the rye pappardelle instead.
Thankfully I noticed early on and they were able to swap it for me in 10 mins.
The meal was absolutely delicious and the pasta had just the right amount of chew. Vincotto added a touch of sweetness which I’m not used to in my pasta, again, something different.
Although delicious meal, I personally found the restaurant quite dark, many people were using their torches to view the menu which ruined the ambiance a bit and the restaurant was also quite loud for my liking. This is just a personal preference.
The price was a bit higher than I was used to, however, for this meal, I would definitely come back as a treat myself meal.

Fantastic starters and their olive oil is the best I’ve ever tasted! We both had steak for mains and found it to be sub par for the price of around $50, potatoes and greens were nice.
Very crowded, but service was fast and efficient, but little interest shown in us once our mains was on the table. Lighting is extremely dim, a number of diners were using their phone torches to read the menu, thus inadvertently shining the light in the eyes of fellow diners.
Unfortunately, the booths there are only for a minimum of 3 people, so if you’re there for a special occasion for 2 (like us)you’re seated on the long table with others or at the bar. Not exactly cosy.

What an impressive restaurant! Everything was outstanding, the service and atmosphere was excellent (not too loud despite being full), and the food was delicious. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu and they were able to do it fully gluten free!

The Meat & Wine Co. provides a consistently excellent dining experience. Their focus on quality is immediately apparent, particularly with the premium steaks which are prepared and cooked with impressive skill. The ambiance is warm and inviting, lending itself to a relaxed and enjoyable evening with friends or family. It’s a great choice for celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a delicious meal.
The attentive and professional service enhances the overall impression. While attention to detail regarding surprises could be improved, the staff are clearly dedicated to providing a memorable visit. I would recommend them for their focus on halal meat options and a selection of fine wines. It is a solid choice for those seeking a high-end steakhouse.

We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and overall had a lovely evening. The steaks were excellent – cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and definitely worth coming back for.
The only small disappointment was that the staff asked my friend (the birthday girl) directly if they should bring the cake out, which spoiled the surprise we had planned. It would have been much nicer if they had checked with the rest of us instead.
Other than that, the service was friendly, and the food was fantastic. I’d recommend this place for the quality of the steaks, but a little more attention to detail with special occasions would make the experience even better.

Had a Special dinner date, the atmosphere was fantastic. The service was top notch.
The food….. exceptional
Tried the entree platter, flavour bombs!!
The butter dry aged rib eye was to die for! 100% recommend. And thank you to the staff who were all amazing. Treated like royalty, a very pleasurable experience all round.

Excellent steaks and dessert!
This place is always busy and once you eat here you understand why.
The service and ambiance are very good.
The steaks are the highlight.
We couldn’t try the premium aged variety since the cooking time was going to be too long and we didn’t want to wait. So we had their O’Connor New Yorker range which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. All their meat is halal.
I tried the sticky date with gelato and loved that too.
Highly recommend Meat & Wine in Adelaide!

I did an Express Lunch with my family on a weekday. We ordered 3 courses Express Lunch $54 per person with one drink (soft drink, juice or wine), entree, main dish and a dessert.
Food quality was generally OK with consideration of this price. The rump steak was a bit disappointed as the quality was not quite differentiated from anyone priced at $20 amongst the thousands of pubs in Australia.
All other entrees, mains, and desserts were between above average to good, but nothing was super amazing.
Having considered the perfect services offered by the servers, the luxury dining environment and the price is inclusive of a drink (can be red or white wine), I would still consider this best value for money and was a good deal.
Happy to return on different occasions with friends or colleagues, just like a decent social gathering or business lunch. Booking is a must, as the restaurant was full on my visit which was a weekday.

The steaks were absolutely delicious. The char grill flavour on the fine cuts of meat were divine. Kangaroo skewers were another level of delicious and same goes for the chicken skewers. Lemon flavour on that chicken was another level. Onion rings were unique. Though, the chips were quite disappointing, not as crunchy as the menu described.

Visited Meat & Wine Co in Adelaide City and it was an excellent dining experience overall.
I had the New York steak on the bone, cooked medium as recommended – and it was perfect. Juicy, tender, and full of flavour. Paired it with a great wine, which made the combination even better. The sides were just as impressive, especially the mac and cheese and the beef tartare – both rich and delicious.
The only small downside was the service being a little too attentive, with the waiter passing by every few minutes to check in, which felt a bit disruptive. Aside from that, everything was spot on.
If you’re looking for a quality steakhouse in Adelaide, I’d definitely recommend giving Meat & Wine Co a try.

The design choices are well-considered, contributing to a welcoming space perfect for a casual brunch or afternoon coffee. The menu appears to offer a selection of enticing options.

This was my second visit to this cafe, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush plants that give it a fresh, calming vibe. We ordered the Crepes Benny, which was delicious, and the Brisket with Mash—both were fantastic. The brisket was incredibly tender, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy. We also had fresh juice that lived up to its name—so refreshing! The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and satisfying meal.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Peter Rabbit in April 2025 and it was a MAGICAL venue!
Everything was perfect and we felt that the evening ran so smoothly, thanks to the hard work and coordination of the Peter Rabbit team! The food was great, the grazing table was stunning, the cocktails were delicious and the venue felt cosy, intimate and magical – especially as it got dark and the fairy lights and candles came to light. It was absolutely the vibe we were going for!
Huge thanks to the Peter Rabbit team for making our wedding so special! We had the best night!!

Very cute little café. Good service and great ambience and decor. The food was tasty and coffee was good but unbelievable such a tiny amount of bacon when it cost $7 to add bacon (and the meals were already quite pricey).

offered a unique brunch menu you don’t often see in Melbourne. Protein-heavy options were a bit limited, and adding extras would easily push meals towards $40, but the creativity of the dishes made up for it.
I went for the Mister Potato with added egg — essentially a beautifully crispy spud topped with an XO shrimp mix, sitting over a fresh salad with an insanely good dressing. Also tried the Mushroom Udon, which was the standout — a refreshing, chilli-based tom yum-style broth with udon, mushrooms, tofu, corn, bok choy and more. It’s a flavour profile I haven’t experienced at brunch before and it really worked.
The Irish espresso martinis were also a hit — smooth, rich, and dangerously easy to drink. Overall, a creative brunch spot worth visiting if you’re after something a little different.

Very busy in the morning, cannot remember the need of waiting 15 minutes for a coffee take away which tastes just above average. Atmosphere is good, food looks good for standard Aussie cafe. With the amount of waiting time required, simply not really worth the wait for what you get at the end.

Interesting decor place, matches the name Peter Rabbit. Drinks/ coffee menu is great. Menu seems abit limited in my opinion. Although I did enjoy Peter’s pappardelle and didn’t realise it was Vegan lol.
The matcha special was delicious.

The food was absolutely lovely and we really enjoyed our meal. The service was good, though not quite excellent. We visited for our anniversary and I booked in advance, so I expected a small gesture of acknowledgment from the staff—perhaps a candle, congratulations, or something to make the occasion feel a little more special. Overall, we had a nice evening, but a touch more attention to detail on such a special night would have made it perfect.

Huge restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating but it is always full. Better book in advance.
Only feed me menu available for dinner. You can basically choose the dishes you want from the menu by telling the staff your preferences. And if you are not stuffed by the end (which is unlikely), let the staff know and they will serve you another main of your preference.
Vibe was good and staff seemed genuinely happy working there cause the service was amazing.
Food wise was very creative. And delicious too. One thing Id suggest is to serve a lighter dessert to finish it off

Excellent food, the squid (my favourite), minced chicken and sashimi were my highlights. Great staff service and exceptional atmosphere. Highly recommend. They only lose a point on atmosphere for putting my group of 5 on a rather small table.

Thank you Nick for the wonderful service!
From appetisers to dessert, you always paid attention to our needs. Thank you for accomodating to our mate who said they did not eat pork. The vegetarian option that you gave him for that meal was equally delicious, if not more, than the pork. Tuk tuk option is always good value for money and we can’t wait to come back for the 5th and 6th time!

We chose to come to Golden Boy as our wedding dinner with high expectations. Not only were these expectations met – they were blown out of the water. Our server and bartender Maidoc was a delightful man and someone deserving of the highest praise. He turned a special night into a memorable one with his humour, attention to detail and wonderful knowledge of both cocktails and Golden Boy’s extensive menu. Genuinely, give that man a raise.
The food was SPECTACULAR. There really isn’t another word for it. Rich, complex and perfectly balanced. Each dish came out at good intervals and the quality of ingredients was some of the best we’ve ever had. The Green Curry was something I’ll dream about – a depth of flavour that only a lifetime of culinary skills could achieve.
We couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience at Golden Boy and Maidoc was simply delightful. Can’t recommend this place enough.
