The team are super helpful and provide A+ service. My glasses broke and I was expecting to be without them for a week or two. Not only did they replace the frame for a brand new one but they did it then and there. Even gave me a contact lenses cases to swap them for my glasses. This was so important to me as I get headaches if I wear contact lenses for too long. Incredible service! I will definitely be a customer for life! Especially when you consider how easy it is to re-order contact lenses through them.
First part of the review is for newton specsavers. I got my first prescription glasses in October 2024. Since then I had to go to specsavers 3 more times as my prescription was not correct and were getting headaches. They replaced my second glasses I got in April 2025 under 3 months warranty but refused to change my first one from October 2024 even though their first prescription was not right. Prescription they gave me first time had an expiry for 2 years which was not correct and was adjusted to new even they still refuse to change first glasses made with incorrect script which are under 12 months. Second part is for rundle mall. Rachel was helpful. Person who was helping me with pricing for multifocal was not empathetic at all and was not even replying to my concerns about the issue above. I work in customer service and acknowledge customer's concerns but this person did not have any customer service skills. She was not even acknowledging my concerns. Very disappointed with my overall experience with specsavers.
You guys are amazing (Rundle Mall). My dad Barry left his glaucoma drops behind in NZ and we’re here for 2.5wks. Thank you so much to the lovely ladies who helped us to get a bottle sorted for him. You were so nice and made it so easy for us. We really appreciated your help. Thank you.
Riley is so helpful and knowledgeable about how to pick the right glasses and how to measure the lens for high prescription. So grateful I met her and she was so supportive and make things work. Thank you Riley 🙂
The whole process was smooth, and my new glasses were ready quicker than expected. The team genuinely seemed to care about making sure I was happy with the outcome, and that personal touch made all the difference.
I was 8 minutes late to my appointment and when I arrived a woman told me she'd be right back, but wasn't back for 7 minutes. I am certain of the times because I had a paediatrician appointment scheduled afterwards and I was worried that I wouldn't have time for my appointment afterall. Another woman approached me and said that, because I was late, they wouldn't be able to fit me in. I didn't mind this so much as I was worried about the later appointment anyway. What I did mind was the tone she used, so I pointed out that I was not very late, so she pointed out that I was 15 minutes late, so I pointed out that I was actually 8 minutes late and then waited for someone to talk to me. The original woman had come back by this time and exclaimed, "Not 15 minutes!" in an aggressive tone. To this I clarified that I was 8 minutes late and then waited for 7 minutes for someone to check me in and left. I would expect this type of customer service from very young people, or perhaps at a fast food outlet, but not from 50 year old women at an Optometrist appointment. The whole thing could have been avoided if they had modified their tone of voice. Anyway, as I won't be using SpecSavers Rundle Mall anymore, neither will my husband or children, so that's several customers lost. We have been using SpecSavers for at least 10 years, so we will probably use another store nearby, but I would recommend some customer service/dispute resolution training for the elderly women at the Rundle Mall store. I spent about 8 years in complaints and dispute resolution, so I know how it's done and this was not it today.
We went to ask for adjustment of our specs we bought from other specsaver store but nobody even bother to come and help. Most of the staff were just trying to avoid eye contact and just looking here and there. If new customer comes then suddenly staff gets active. Poor service. Left without any hep from them.
