The range of glasses are beautiful, the service was fantastic (even when things didn’t go quite right upon pick up), and the optometrist was top notch. She provided a lot of handy information.
I am also very pleased with the way management handled some things I was not so happy with. It’s fantastic when customer concerns are not brushed off.

Bec was super helpful, going above and beyond to make my experience smooth and solve the issues I was having with my glasses. Very impressed with her thoughtfulness, problem solving and kindness. Thank you for a great experience.
Melissa Henderson

I’ve been coming here for years and the service is always on point. The staff is very professional and helpful, prices are affordable and I always walk out with a new frame that I totally love.
Skippy R-H

I had a great experience with the sales team, who are very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Bailey Nelson for both their customer service and fashionable frames!

Went in today to check some eyeglasses on sale and I found one with a red tag on that is in the sale section. The salesperson told me it’s not actually on sale. Waited for a while for clarification and was told that they will check it with the manager if they can honour the sale price. Continued to serve other customer instead of addressing this concern. I’m a customer of this shop for long time but I guess it’s time for a change. As far as I’m aware it is the store’s responsibility to honour the pricing that they have indicated or even decently address this concern right at the moment and not let their customer wait for nothing or even acknowledgement. So disappointed!

Excellent customer service from the technicians and optometrist. I’ve been wearing glasses for decades using Health Partners optometrists and never have they explained tests being performed, eye health etc to the detail I have received at the Rundle Mall stall.
Well done team!

I usually go to Specsavers but I wanted to change it up and go somewhere new. I was so happy with how I was treated! Trinity (the optometrist) was so friendly and explained my eye condition clearly and concisely. I was also looked after very busy the staff and was able to find glasses. It normally takes me forever to pick up glasses but I found my pair so quickly and they make me feel great.

Always offer best service for me! This time, I wanna give a very special compliment to the lady who use walking stick while working. She greeted me very friendly and directed me to the lovely Sarah who fixed my glasses! Thanks so much guys! Like always, I think I need to come back to change my glasses (mine is old)

I arrived late to my appointment with my 4-year-old, and we were in desperate need of seeing an optometrist. Despite our tardiness, they made time for us. The staff was friendly, chatty, and helped keep my child calm, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.
The optometrist, Rachel, was an absolute dream—kind, caring, and reassuring. They even scheduled a follow-up appointment and called during the week to check in on us.
The follow-up visit was just as outstanding. Everyone was wearing bright, fun shirts, which made my 4-year-old laugh. Once again, the staff was incredibly friendly.
I highly recommend this clinic!

Customer Reviews
These people are so great. Just popped in to ask whether they were able to fix or knew where to fix my glasses which had lost a screw from the frame. Within minutes they had fixed it for me and when I asked what the charge was they said it was no problem at all. Brilliant people.
Nick Tagliaferri

I had a poor experience purchasing glasses from this clinic. When I first arrived, they performed an eye exam and concluded that my left eye was at 0.00 and my right eye at 0.25. After about 30 minutes, the doctor prescribed my glasses. I was clear that I needed them for computer use to reduce eye strain. After 12 days, they called me to pick up the glasses.
However, when I tried them on, I noticed a shadow around lights, no matter the distance. This was very distracting and even caused me to feel dizzy. When I explained this issue, they scheduled another appointment with the doctor to recheck the prescription. Then, they told me that to fix the problem, I would need an anti-reflective coating for an additional $130. I was frustrated because I had specifically asked for glasses to protect my eyes while working at a computer, and they should have informed me about this option from the start.
On top of that, the customer service was disappointing. One of the staff members, a young woman whose name I can’t remember, was not professional and didn’t treat me kindly, which added to the negative experience. Overall, I would not recommend this clinic if you’re looking for knowledgeable guidance and good customer service.
hamid dolatshahi pirooz

The Optometrist was very patient and listened to what I had to say before conducting the eye exam. She explained the things that will happen during the tests.
The lady assigned to me who gave me the costings for the different lenses was also very kind and understanding. She listened well and did not pressure me to get/buy anything at that moment.
It was such a positive experience.
jennifer ramos

What a wonderful experience, optometrist was informative, professional, knowledgeable. Mary, now what about Mary? Mary managed to get me out of my comfort zone into 2 different styles & colours of glasses. I’ve been wearing the same colour & style for 40 years!! I can’t wait to get my new glasses. Thank you!!
Alan Butler

Enquired about replacing the lenses on my non prescription sunglasses, quoted me $140 more than the cost of a new pair. Found same lenses as aftermarket replacement for $25 and gonna install them myself!

I first attended Innovative when no other optometrist could get my prescription correct. Innovative discovered that I had an eye condition that required surgery as I would never get the correct prescription without this minor surgery; it was life changing.
The staff are all delightful; from the front desk to the dispensers to, of course, the optometrists.
I have no hesitation in recommending Innovative if you have a challenging prescription or simply want outstanding service.

I’ve been consulting Lachlan since 2008 for my fairly complex hard contact lens scripts. One eye has Keratoconus and the other has had two corneal transplant surgeries, one performed in Adelaide with an Opthalmologist recommended by Lachlan. The experience I have had with this practice over that time, mostly with Lachlan but more recently with Wes, makes me a wholehearted supporter of their services and endorser of their expertise. Highest possible recommendation for this Practice.
Panag Kots

I am a long time patient of IEC and can honestly say I have had the VERY best eye care over many years. The team are always there when needed.
Also I’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to Lachlan Hoy for his very generous support of frames, equipment and a donation for Eye Care Clinics held in Nepalese Schools- supporting the work of Ashmita Maden Limbu and her team of Optometrists as they volunteer their time.
I would highly recommend this Eye Clinic for all your Eye Care needs.

Customer Reviews
I’ve attended this optometrist since it was The Pinhole Effect, but my most recent experience will be my last. (Please excuse grammar, had to trim to make fit.)
To try and keep this as short as possible, here is a list of events;
23rd Nov
– Attend appt
– Contact lens script updated
– Unable to place order for contact lenses while in store; new optometrist had not yet completed notes
– Request to order 6months of lenses, as apparently a 3 month supply can no longer be ordered.
– Request updated script be emailed to me
7th Dec.
– Call store to check on order, as they usually take 2-3 days, it’s now been 2 weeks.
– Advised during phone call that they should be in “later today.. or tomorrow at the latest.”
– Go into store ~5:10pm and check if they’d arrived. Still no lenses.
8th Dec (Today)
– Receive text ~9:45am advising of order arrival.
– Head into store ~12pm
– Lenses fetched from storage.
– They will “tell me something about the lenses that will explain why they were late.”
– start to tell me, but wave hand dismissively and begin to process my payment.
– As payment for 6month of lenses processes, the assistant says;
– “See, they’ve changed, that’s why they were so late/took so long.” That was the whole explanation I got, as,
– Unfortunately, I was distracted by the fact that I was now realising there was only THREE months worth of contact lenses on the counter, but my payment had just been processed for SIX.
– I ask where the other boxes are; “on back order..”
– Considering the surprise on the assistant’s face, I am unsure whether they had noticed the discrepancy before I mentioned it.
– I request a refund, as I do not want to pay for 6 months of lenses and only receive 3.
– The refund is actioned in full, and I am now charged for a 3 month supply.
– I am uncertain why they could not just refund me the difference; so I’m out of ~$300 AND the ~$150 for the 3 month isnt while I wait for the refund to be processed. I do not mention this, as at this point I just wish to be done with this interaction.
– As the refund is being processed, I get some clearer answers on why the lenses took so long.
– “Like I was trying to tell you before…” with that single, super specific sentence from earlier, apparently. Turns out, the contact lens company no longer carry -x.25 scripts; only -x.00 or -x.50
– As I process this, I realise that this means that one of the boxes of lenses I’m holding isn’t actually my prescription. (-6.25)
– When I question the assistant (and also the new optometrist about this, who had been sitting there mostly silent at a computer throughout this so far) I am advised that the difference in prescription“should be fine,” without even bothering to look at my script/the lens boxes.
– It is worth noting here that the reason I attended this store for so long was due to Tien’s enthusiasm for eye health. She taught me a lot, and my eyesight improved under her guidance. This nonchalance is a stark contrast to the way this storefront used to run, and is incredibly disappointing.
– I leave the store with my 3-month supply of lenses.
– As I start my evening routines, I realise the boxes aren’t marked for left/right eye (something that has always been done at multiple optometrists and was here for years until recently), so I pull up my contact lens prescription to mark the boxes for myself.
– My new prescription is -6.50 and -7.00. No -x.25, and;
– The lenses I’ve been given are -6.50 and -6.00. Store not open again til Monday morning.
I am furious about this whole experience. No apologies offered for delays, no communication until asked, errors unnoticed until mentioned.
Instead of apologies; “well, it doesn’t matter where you order them from, it’s the contact lens company’s fault. You’ll be waiting just as long if you order from someone else.”
I am flabbergasted.
I have every intention of being there on Monday morning to return the still sealed boxes of contact lenses that aren’t even correct to my script. At this point, I’d rather wait another 2-3 weeks for contact lenses and spend my money elsewhere.
N Woods

This place used to be great. Still cool location, still lovely Optometrist, still great selection but as of Oct 2022, Rude Gentlemen more interested staring at the computer screen than helping legitimate customers. Didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked in, didn’t offer any assistance, didn’t make eye contact with us, it felt like he went out of his way not to help us. I was going to order 2 pairs of specs and one pair of sunnies, had to take my business elsewhere. Very disappointing to say the least. Sad to see what has happened to what was one of the best optical customer service experiences in town.
Jack Jones

Cool vibes and a thoughtfully curated selected of frames, including my favourite handmade Japanese Barton Perreira frames at very reasonable prices. Sterling service from Bradley – his decades of experience in this industry evident by how quickly he was able to select appropriate frames for my hard-to-fit face (unlike the clueless / indifferent staff at the chainstores in the mall). Highly recommended for folks who want quality frames at good prices with efficient yet excellent service.
M M

I bought a $735 pair of Anne et Valentin glasses which had a major fault in them, which I then brought back to have replaced with a new pair under warranty. It’s been 11 months, I’ve gone into the shop 5 times, and I get fobbed off every time I ask when I will get the replacement pair. I’m fairly sure that I’m being lied to as the guy can never produce any paperwork for the replacement order. They are not very trustworthy as a company and I will not purchase from them again. Buyer beware.
Claudia Fitzpatrick

If only I could give a zero star I would!! What happened to the quality services they used to have? My partner and I used to look forward coming here for our glasses every time we visit Adelaide. However they no longer stock quality products like they used to. I agree with the poor recent reviews below that the ‘tall man’ is not helpful! It’s like they have changed staff completely!! No quality familiar faces anymore, terrible customer services, poor choice of products and not even the optometrist ‘Tien’ was there and she was the best! We definitely will never come back here again!
