Good range of models and accessories from several quality brands, rather than full range from just one or two brands. So they have Numatic Henry vacuum and ordered in a Numatic George carpet & upholstery cleaner vacuum for me, which arrived even sooner than expected. Knowledgeable and reliable advice. Reasonable / competitive prices. Good to be able to buy from same shop that can provide accessories, parts, servicing and repairs.

The owner has a terrible attitude. You walk into the shop & he just looks at you in cold silence. I was returning a product I'd purchased. The wife(?), who served me on that occasion, was marginally more polite, but who insisted it was the correct product. On returning it a few days later, & pointing out it was the wrong part, the husband(?) asked almost belligerently what was wrong with the part. Not fully understanding what answer "he" wanted, I gave 3 explanations until finally arriving at an answer to his satisfaction, whereupon he abruptly & quite rudely said "That's what I wanted to know!", as if I was some kind of idiot (I wonder how many university degrees he has? I have 5!!). As I left the shop, again, the silence was deafening! Not a word of thanks, no - "Sorry we couldn't help you"; he couldn't even muster a polite smile. To make matters worse, at that end of Magill Rd. (just around the corner from the Maid & Magpie), which - in peak hour traffic is extremely busy - there's nowhere to park except on the main road, which is a Clearway in the mornings into town, & likewise with the outbound traffic in the afternoon. I'll never go back there again.

Went in looking at having a Dyson repaired. However I had a chat with Janeane and explained I needed a vacuum to pick up pet hair from a medium pile carpet. She gave me great advice on a replacement, which would actually work. Which brands to look at, to switch to a bagged vacuum etc. I’ve now bought a vacuum that actually works and should do for a long while. The staff are a wealth of knowledge and will be supporting their store where I can in the future, thanks again!

A great seller. Everything was very clear. Their prices were very competitive and much better than many other sellers. My order was very quickly on its way to me. I was kept up to date with my delivery and I knew exactly when my order was arriving. Great service and I will be buying from Stepney Appliances again 🙂

The vacuum bags I ordered were of the genuine brand I was after. The order arrived in 3 business days from Adelaide to Melbourne. The box arrived in great condition, no dents or problems and I am really delighted with my decision to save $100 and buy from Stepney Appliances instead of buying direct from the manufacturer. I suspect that I have found a new goto for my vacuum accessory needs!
