I lost a necklace that was gifted to me 50 years ago by my beautiful godparents. It was more than a piece of jewellery, it was memories and a source of comfort. When pondering life or feeling emotional I would touch the cross and feel relief. When I lost it, I still functioned fine but every so often I felt a sad discomfort.
My search for a replacement came up with nothing, no off the shelf replacement was right, there was always something wrong. Either the sides of the cross wasn’t the right shape, or something was missing, most looked like poor quality examples.
EverettBrookes discussed the design with me and drew up an example for me to look at, it wasn’t quite right but we fine-tuned the design and once I was happy, they started the process of making a new one.
When I first saw the finished product, I was flabbergasted, it was like looking at the original. It hasn’t come off since I picked it up a few months ago.
I didn’t realise how much I was missing it and now that I’m wearing it again, I feel like all my long-gone relatives are with me.

Top Tier Jeweller, highly recommended by other jewellers and for good reason. My wife’s lovely engagement ring was truly an exceptional find at a great price and quality, however it was far too large. After the significant issues trying to find a jeweller willing to work on it, we found these incredible jewellers of whom were able to not only take the ring down an exceptional 4 sizes, but were able to maintain a perfect shape in the process. After explaining the extreme complexities with resizing such a fragile ring, the jeweller took it upon himself as a personal challenge, of which he rose to the occasion and performed a miracle. I rarely buy jewellery, but I when I do I will be coming back to this store. The customer service was incredible and their attention to detail shows how much they care for every customers needs. We even bought our wedding rings through these guys whom measured the width of the engagement ring so that my wife’s wedding ring will match perfectly by colour and size. It has been 6 months since our last encounter and the workmanship has held up beautifully surviving even the harshest of elements the Scottish Highlands have to offer, we are eternally grateful for the service you have provided and wish you and your team all the best for the future.

I was traveling in Australia in 2024, Adelaide was one of our first stops. I was very interested in opals since they are particularly Australian. Adrian at Unique Opal Mine was such a great teacher, and considerate helper in my mission to find a unique opal. He showed me how opals were cut and polished in their little museum, sent me to see one of the world‘s greatest opals at the Adelaide museum, and helped me make a choice about what I would take home. I bought two loose stones and had them set by a jeweler here at home. They are both unique pieces and get lots of compliments. If you’re looking for an unusual opal you can’t go wrong with unique Opal mine.

Fabulous handmade opals of the highest quality! My husband has 250+ cufflinks and these are definitely in his top 3 now (that is high praise as I’ve had several made for him bespoke). I consulted Bell & Brunt to have my mother’s 18ct gold cross and chain repaired. The customer service was friendly, helpful, and informative. Their craftsmanship is of superior quality and efficiency. I ended up purchasing a new chain to compliment my 100+ year old cross on my return. It was a pleasure doing business with your company and definitely my jeweller of choice going forth.

In February 2022, my (now) husband reached out to Bell & Brunt with a vision for my engagement ring. Despite working interstate at the time, Daniel was able to collaborate seamlessly with Carmel and the design team to bring his idea to life. Carmel’s attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident from the start, and the entire process exceeded our expectations. When Daniel proposed in August 2022, it was an immediate and enthusiastic YES!

After the engagement, we returned to Bell & Brunt to design our wedding bands. We each had unique ideas, and once again, Carmel went above and beyond to make our visions a reality. We were married in December 2023, and we couldn’t be happier with our rings—they are truly stunning.

Not long after our wedding, we approached Carmel for a pair of custom ruby and diamond rose gold studs, designed to match my wedding band, which features 12 encrusted rubies. The earrings turned out beautifully, exactly as we had envisioned.

Mia at Cullen was absolutely fabulous, we had her both for when we came in to select an engagement ring and now when we’ve just selected a matching wedding band. She was so knowledgeable about the lab grown diamonds and how to select a good one, was not pushy whatsoever in the decision making process. Had such an amazing experience at Cullen Jewellery! The staff and atmosphere were both so welcoming. Adele was super accommodating and knowledgeable, and never made us feel rushed. I was visiting Adelaide from Perth for business meetings when I realised I had forgotten to pack cufflinks. My wife called ahead and I was able to pick up a pair of beautiful cuff-links that the lovely ladies at Gerard McCabe got express-delivered from one of their other stores.

I can’t recommend The Classic Jewellers highly enough … wonderful, customer focussed service from the extremely pleasant, warm and welcoming staff, in particular Jess and Ca. They were incredibly respectful, showed great interest and enthusiasm as various options for remodelling my grandmother’s ring were presented to me. At no stage did I feel pressured or dismissed or rushed, but rather the opposite. I left the store feeling so pleased that I had discovered this gem of a jeweller/ jewellery store in Gawler Place. Congratulations to ‘The Classic Jewellers’ on a brilliant business!
(ps this store has never advertised their existence they told me but rather rely entirely on word of mouth recommendation … which is how I heard about them!)

The Classic Jewellers were able to fix a sentimental ring, which a retail jeweller had not been able to find a replacement stone for in two months (! hello, we are in the opal capital of the world!), and couldn’t fix it under the ‘lifetime care plan’ which was purchased, even if I sourced my own stone. The Classic Jewellers found the perfect size stone on the spot, an actual opal (the original was created) with almost identical colours, repaired it for the best price, and had it ready sooner than promised. I’ve now asked them to fix another sterling silver ring which was accidentally bent out of shape. Two rings other jewellers wouldn’t touch, they’ve said ‘yes we can’ and done a beautiful job.

We had a terrible experience with getting a wedding ring resized. We had the ring custom made with satin finish, which is quite a rare finish most jewellers in Adelaide don’t necessarily offer. We explicitly asked if they could replicate the finish and they assured us they could. This was false. They resized the ring and the finish was completely different. The ring became unrecognisable and no longer matched the other wedding ring. We were devastated. The customer service that followed was very dismissive. They told us the finish would “look the same in a couple months”. If you’re a customer with firm expectations of high quality craftsmanship and customer service, STAY AWAY from this place.

Ordered an engagement ring for my partner with Opal Diamond Factory. I needed the ring resized and they were so helpful in explaining the process and explained potential risks etc at no extra charge. If you are reading these reviews in the hopes of finding a dream piece of jewellery (especially an engagement ring) then your search is complete. Out of all the locations I went to searching for an engagement ring, this was head and shoulders above the rest.

A daunting process was made not only easy but enjoyable by the lovely people at The Opal Diamond Factory. They are caring, helpful and above all know what they are talking about. The whole process was made easy by Mike; from the sizing to the style, the stone itself and overall design features, anything seemed possible. I cannot praise this man and his skill enough; the care he puts into understanding what you want the design to say and the jewellery itself is amazing.

As for the jewellery itself, it is nothing short of breathtaking. His ability to frame the centerpiece stone while also making the band stand out is phenomenal. For me this involved engraving the engagement band to make it appear as though it was a branch supporting an opal. The detail he was able to achieve with this was amazing. Not only this, but the quality of the opal and the range of choices and styles available will mean that there will definitely be something that catches your eye as ‘the one’.

Phoned the Adelaide store to ask if they could please assist with a new screw for my Tiffany and Co sunglasses as the lens keeps falling out and was told I would have to take them back to the store I purchased them from to get them fixed. I told the lady they were bought in South Africa so it wouldn’t be possible and all I needed was the correct tiny little screw and that I would fix it myself, but they said they couldn’t asssit. Same experience as so many others. I went into store to get a bracelet repaired which would be no more than a quick 5 minute conversation to be told that I had to ‘make an appointment.’ When asked if I could come back later today they reported that they were “all booked out today” yet I did not see 1 customer in site and 2 employees standing around doing nothing. The lady then tried to help me by showing me how to use the online booking system, not even to make an appointment for me – as if I couldn’t do that myself. Such a disappointing experience. Tiffany’s service has absolutely gone downhill.

Needed to repair a bracelet purchased only 3 months ago. The chain snapped without any mechanical trauma. Given I have been a regular customer, and the bracelet was reasonably new and expensive, I was really disappointed that there was absolutely no consideration of this repair being covered under warranty. I was made to feel like the ‘break’ was my fault for not looking after it properly. Customer service was really poor. Will absolutely not be returning, and will never be purchasing any jewellery from Tiffany’s again. Such a shame.

Made a formal complaint via the website and received a phone call from head office. They sent a completely new replacement for free. Very grateful for the way this was eventually handled!
