Would give a 0 if we could. Arranged through emirates rang and confirmed 3 child seats. No driver arrived, rang them after 30 mins and receiving a message saying a 15-20 minute wait. The driver number I had been given said he didn’t even have the job listed. After multiple phone calls finally a driver arrived over an hour late with 2 child seats. Whilst the driver was lovely my anger is with the company and the lies we were told when they clearly forgot about our booking. If we were a couple we could have called an Uber. It’s a whole other level of stress when you have 3 children to transport as well. Extremely disappointed. Would appreciate some follow up.

The most expensive money extracting carpark ever.

One negative is that I parked here nearly every week for many years and only once got the Rockstar Carpark in front of the Level 2 walkway.

Bogans like to use your bonnet and roof to unload their bags, so after a couple days your car looks like it’s been in a rollover on the highway.

There’s more empty beer bottles laying around than Hindley St at 3am.

The little lights that indicate which car parks are vacant and which are full is a cruel practical joke.

When you end up at the ticketed exit on the way out, there are 4 gates merging straight into 2 lanes. So if you time it right, you can make a race out of it with other tired and frustrated people who just want to get the f*** out of the airport. Fun times.

Adelaide Airport offers a smooth and efficient experience. Despite a long queue on a Thursday morning, the security check was quick. There’s a spacious public area outside the terminal, great for waiting or meeting others. Getting to the city is easy with the bus—just tap your credit card to board. No need to tap off, as Adelaide’s public transport uses a flat fare system. Very convenient overall.

Well operated airport that handles domestic & international flights.
Plenty of open spaces externally & internally , for some reason reminds me of Christchurch Airport.
Nice place to land & a short walk to the cab rank outside which is beautifully managed by real staff . Carpark is not far away & there is a smoking area about 100m from the well placed Subway food store . I knocked down a couple of durries & indulged in a foot long subway meal before taking off to Gepps X for business.
Upon returning for the departure flight i can only say be extra careful that you don’t forget to take your belt off & don’t forget that tek screw that you may have inadvertently placed in your pocket during a warehouse visit . Security guy did a great job tough gig & hats off to these guys that rarely miss a beat .
My flight was delayed so I had an extended patronage with the Coopers Bar for quite a few hours with some highly esteemed banana bender colleagues from XXXX country that found my afternoon quite amusing. It was nice to get home but my memories of Adelaide are quite fond .

Adelaide Airport – 4 Stars
A well-run and easy-to-navigate airport with a few small quirks.

Drop-off & Pick-up:
As expected, the drop-off and pick-up area can get busy, but it generally flows well thanks to active monitoring by staff and security. You’re allowed to get out of your car to assist with luggage, but you can’t leave your vehicle unattended. A handy tip: many people park temporarily at IKEA and only head to the pick-up zone once baggage has been collected, which helps avoid congestion.

Parking:
The multistory car park is convenient but pricey—as you’d expect at an airport. Level 2 is the busiest due to the direct walkway to the terminal. For easier parking, head straight to Level 4 and take the lift down to Level 2. Don’t forget to pay at the machines on Level 2 before returning to your car.

Free Parking Tip:
For free parking, enjoy a short walk from Bunnings or IKEA—check out my video! All the locals know this is the best place to park, and it’s only a few minutes on foot to the terminal.

Terminal Access:
If you’re being dropped off, you’ll need to take a lift up to Level 2 to access the terminal. There are only two lifts, so you may experience a short wait, but they move fairly quickly between just two levels.

Check-in & Security:
The recent security upgrades have improved flow significantly. Check-in areas are split, with security in the middle, which can be confusing—signage isn’t always visible, so be prepared to walk or ask staff for directions.

Gates & Amenities:
After security, gates branch off in both directions. International gates are accessed via escalators to the left of security—just follow the yellow signs. There are plenty of food options, shops, and even entertainment for kids. The piano provided by Leaver & Son is a charming touch and is often swapped out for a fresh one.

General Info:
The terminal operates from 3:15 am to 11:30 pm. A newly opened airport hotel offers direct terminal access—very convenient for early or late flights.

A great airport for a great city.

Yo, step in the terminal, feelin’ so fly,

We booked a maxi taxi 2 day’s prior to our departure date Tuesday 20th may.
We phoned suburban taxi at 9am 2 hrs prior to pickup.
We were told that a maxi taxi could not be guaranteed after taking our booking 2 days prior. We were very annoyed, disappointed and beginning to stress.
We called numerous times and finally received a text message at 11.05am that a taxi was on its way.
In the meanwhile we ordered another maxi taxi with 13 cab’s and they arrived in 10 min of the order. Thats great reliable service which your company is lacking.
May I suggest that your booking agent is more truthful and accurate with their clients at booking stage in future.

Their drivers have absolutely no civic sense. No respect for their own attire either. One of them parked in the pram zone and refused to move, even when politely requested. We were forced to park far from the centre in the pouring rain with a few months old child. Behave guys, it’s not India.

I had a very disappointing experience with Suburban Taxi. The taxi was disgustingly dirty — I couldn’t even take a deep breath during the ride because of the smell and lack of cleanliness. The interior looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time.

What made it worse was the driver’s unprofessional behavior. He repeatedly asked inappropriate questions about my personal life and pushed his opinions on matters that were none of his business. It made the entire ride extremely uncomfortable.

The fare was $60 each way, which is far too much given the zero level of cleanliness and lack of professionalism. I would not recommend this service and hope the company takes serious steps to improve both vehicle hygiene and driver conduct

My 83 year old mother booked a taxi for a doctors appointment last Thursday. Upon arrival the taxi driver took her card for payment. Upon viewing her transactions online, the driver had charged her twice. I called to discuss, the operator was quite abrupt and couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough. She said she would have someone call to address and rectify, did not take any details and didn’t care to listen to what I had to say. She tried to say that one transaction would drop off as they would be pending. Not the case, both have gone through. I have a copy of one receipt with transaction and driver ID etc. I’m yet to receive a call. This is an example of a driver taking advantage of the elderly and a company that does not care to rectify the issue. Would not recommend.

My recent experience with Adelaide Independent Taxis was unfortunately quite negative. The initial phone interaction felt rushed and the representative seemed dismissive of my questions. I was hoping for a smoother and more courteous booking process; the lack of friendly service was a significant letdown. I would suggest the company focus on improving its customer service training.

Despite the initial booking issues, the driver arrived promptly and the vehicle was clean. However, the overall impression was impacted by the first interaction. I believe greater emphasis on employee communication skills would significantly improve the customer experience and build a more positive reputation for the company.

Adelaide Independent Taxis

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the level of customer service I received during my recent interaction with your team. On 10/09/2025, I booked a taxi for one of my customers, and the experience was nothing short of appalling.

The person who took my call – a lady – displayed an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. Her tone was dismissive and condescending, and the way she spoke to me was completely unacceptable. She essentially reprimanded me for not providing all the necessary details in one go, saying, “Next time, when you call, tell me all the information straightaway and not one by one.” To be clear, I had no idea that I was supposed to know the exact order in which information should be given. Should I have anticipated that she would prefer the pick-up address first instead of the customer’s name? Her communication style was aggressive and completely unnecessary.

This interaction was incredibly frustrating, and frankly, it left a bad taste in my mouth. As a business, you should be focused on customer satisfaction, yet what I encountered was the complete opposite. If this is the standard of service your company is offering, I am afraid you will lose more and more customers in the long run.

I have worked with a number of companies in the past, and I’ve never encountered such poor customer service. To put it bluntly, an employee with such a lack of professionalism should not be in a customer-facing role. If this issue isn’t addressed, I can only foresee your company losing business, as customers like myself will inevitably turn to alternatives, such as Uber or Didi, which offer much better service and user experience.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and take the necessary actions to ensure that no one else experiences the same frustration I did. The loss of a single customer may seem insignificant in the short term, but with poor service like this, I can assure you it will cost your business far more in the future.

I cannot stress enough how bad a serivce this has been you cannot reliy on them, 25 mins late.

Honestly would Make sure if you want to go on a flight book 30mins extra and pray they feel like coming. That is not good enough. when you make a booking the night before.

Your website states its a booking, you charge a fee for it to be a booking and yet. Have the audacity to state its not a booking that your making a “request”. Beyond moronic. I spose next thing they say is I’m required to make a sacrifice to a pagan god of transport. The driver was polite and apologetic about it. They are quite simply unreliable and the audacity to turn it around at me is beyond astern.

I stuck with taxis over uber as I believed them a better more “professional” service quite frankly you deserve to go out of buniess. Your better off going their at least they have mastered the concept of making a booking and forfilling there obligation. Here see below text confirming of your booking. No other businesses operate this way you book a serivce on your car, or another dam service they stick to a time frame.

The only thing quicker than their service is their ability to give a refund because they know they can’t do things right.

“if you make a booking, that doesn’t mean you will have a cab come at the booking time, no matter how early you book with us. We start finding you a cab then. It’s not our fault we haven’t got anyone down that way.”
