I’d always wanted to try this place because of its high rating and it didn’t disappoint. The vibe is fantastic, and I especially love the chairs in the open area. I went for lunch when it was busy; they initially offered me a bar stool or a table tucked away at the back, but I mentioned I preferred the front yard and was happy to wait. Andy was very accommodating and prepared a table for us as soon as one became available.

Kudos to Andy! Though I have to say, on my second visit, the rest of the staff weren’t as friendly.

Now, the food absolutely incredible. We ordered the set menu, which is amazing value. The harissa chicken was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour, while the pumpkin dish was simply divine. Hats off to the chef!

I’ll definitely keep coming back for my Friday lunches and can’t wait to try everything on the menu. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

We gad a great experience here for my partners birthday. I believe that the lady that served us was Ava or Eva. I couldn’t quite catch her name on the way out, but she did a lovely job. Very natural and genuinely nice person. The food was great and the cocktail was delicious. Thanks so much all!

We came for lunch, food and service were incredible. Lola served us and she was awesome, she arranged a free round of cocktails to celebrate our friends birthday! Thanks so much. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Adelaide.

Thanks all staff!! Exceptional service from start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food was absolutely scrumptious, with generous portion sizes. We opted to order our own food, however the feed me menu looked like great value too. The scallops were a standout, they were so delicious we had to order a second round! The ambience was warm and inviting, making for a lovely night out. Looking forward to returning soon. Huge thanks to all the staff for making our evening so enjoyable!

A busy restaurant with a nice and open atmosphere, dined during lunch time. The food was quick to come out, decent proportions. The corn ribs were flavoursome. The cauliflower was the highlight, the sauce was creamy and had a little spice to it. The fried chicken was crispy though there was not much flavour to it. You had to dip it in the sauce to have any sort of taste. The salad was quite refreshing and cut through the heaviness of the main dishes which were the cauliflower and chicken dish. The staff were also friendly.

TLDR: Highly recommend coming to this restaurant!

Overall, it was a great experience both on the food and service sides. The dishes combined unique flavors (with an Asian touch) and were plentiful. I especially want to highlight the plant dishes (i.e., corn, broccoli and pumpkin). In addition, the waitresses were super nice, attentive and helpful (e.g., one of them even gave us a list of restaurant/café/bar recommendations). We ordered the „Feed me – For a long time” surprise menu option and a wine and received:
– Fried corn ribs
– 1/2 shell scallops
– Anchovy toast
– Chicken parm croquettes
– Popcorn broccoli
– Slow cooked pork scotch
– Steak chips
– Sticky soy glazed pumpkin
– White chocolate semi freddo

Maya Nadiri

The food was absolutely lovely and we really enjoyed our meal. The service was good, though not quite excellent. We visited for our anniversary and I booked in advance, so I expected a small gesture of acknowledgment from the staff—perhaps a candle, congratulations, or something to make the occasion feel a little more special. Overall, we had a nice evening, but a touch more attention to detail on such a special night would have made it perfect.

Huge restaurant with both outdoor and indoor seating but it is always full. Better book in advance.

Only feed me menu available for dinner. You can basically choose the dishes you want from the menu by telling the staff your preferences. And if you are not stuffed by the end (which is unlikely), let the staff know and they will serve you another main of your preference.

Vibe was good and staff seemed genuinely happy working there cause the service was amazing.

Food wise was very creative. And delicious too. One thing Id suggest is to serve a lighter dessert to finish it off

Excellent food, the squid (my favourite), minced chicken and sashimi were my highlights. Great staff service and exceptional atmosphere. Highly recommend. They only lose a point on atmosphere for putting my group of 5 on a rather small table.

Thank you Nick for the wonderful service!

From appetisers to dessert, you always paid attention to our needs. Thank you for accomodating to our mate who said they did not eat pork. The vegetarian option that you gave him for that meal was equally delicious, if not more, than the pork. Tuk tuk option is always good value for money and we can’t wait to come back for the 5th and 6th time!

We chose to come to Golden Boy as our wedding dinner with high expectations. Not only were these expectations met – they were blown out of the water. Our server and bartender Maidoc was a delightful man and someone deserving of the highest praise. He turned a special night into a memorable one with his humour, attention to detail and wonderful knowledge of both cocktails and Golden Boy’s extensive menu. Genuinely, give that man a raise.

The food was SPECTACULAR. There really isn’t another word for it. Rich, complex and perfectly balanced. Each dish came out at good intervals and the quality of ingredients was some of the best we’ve ever had. The Green Curry was something I’ll dream about – a depth of flavour that only a lifetime of culinary skills could achieve.

We couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience at Golden Boy and Maidoc was simply delightful. Can’t recommend this place enough.

If only they had Sauvignon Blanc by the glass, then the wine list would be perfect.
But the pizza was exceptional, thin based cooked in a Woodfire oven simplistic and perfect.
We ordered the mushroom pizza and just added some salami for a touch of extra protein and chilli flakes.
Sadly, adding prawns is not an option.
But…It was just delicious.
We would happily come back again as the staff are very attentive and polite also.

I recently had breakfast at this restaurant, and overall, it was a great experience.
We tried the wood-fired eggs with lamb and pine nuts and the sausage breakfast, both of which were delicious and full of flavor. The hot chocolate and iced chocolate were also enjoyable.☕️
The staff was friendly and polite, and the atmosphere was inviting.
The only area for improvement was that our orders arrived one by one; it would have been better if all the items had come out together. Overall, a lovely dining experience!

Terrible Lunch Experience to date!
1. We made reservations but when we got there, they can’t find our booking so we were asked to seat outside on a very cold midday.
2. We were told they will bring out blankets, but after waiting for some time, we have to ask for heaters and blankets. The young male staff told us most of the heaters outside were broken.
3. We ordered a bottle of sparkling water, one red wine, 5 starter dishes to share and one main vegetarian meal and we were charged $170 for 3 people. We felt this was too expensive for our light lunch.
4. We have 2x $70 Parking ticket for parking across Halifax Street. A good restaurant should inform their customers not to park cars infront of their Restaurant.
5. We were told the manager will call us to apologise for the inconvenience we had regarding our missed reservation, but we never heard any apology from their management.
6. Food taste ordinary.
7. Toilet is too small and the toilet paper holder is broken.

inviting location and charming atmosphere. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed afternoon.

Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations.

As for the food, it was decent but not exceptional for that price. The pizza, while visually appealing, missed the mark for me—the dough lacked that authentic Italian quality .

Had an amazing dinner at Peel St last night. The tapas were incredible, every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My host Shelby was fantastic, going out of her way to make the evening special with genuine recommendations and warm service.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect for unwinding. Honestly, the food was so good I went back the next night…when’s the last time a restaurant made you do that? Peel St has definitely earned a new regular customer.

An Unforgettable Fusion Feast at Peel St Restaurant!

Ambience & First Impression:
The moment we stepped into Peel St at 9 Peel Street, I was struck by the industrial‑chic vibe—exposed brick walls, a long concrete bar, and an open kitchen buzzing with energy. The décor is relaxed yet stylish, setting the perfect scene for a fun, communal dining vibe.

Vibe & Atmosphere:
The place was packed midday on a weekday, full of chatter and clinking glasses. Despite the bustle, the service felt effortless and genuine—casually dressed staff hovering with confidently recommended plates and drinks.

Food Highlights:
We began with olives and focaccia—how delicious—and we devoured them! Then came the banana blossom chicken—tender and fragrant, served with chilli jam and coconut salad. Every mouthful was layered with textures and spice.
Perhaps the standout was the pork belly with prawns, peanuts, and Asian greens—a masterful balance of rich, sweet, nutty, and umami, rolled in herbs and sauce.
Also, try ordering “small” plates—which are actually generous “large” shares—perfect for sampling a variety.

Taste & Flavour Profile:
Every dish combined Middle Eastern and Asian flavours in clever, creative ways—think coriander, sumac, nam jim, herbs, tahini, and pomegranate—all packed into share plates. The food feels generous and intensely flavorful without being pretentious.

Staff are highly knowledgeable and friendly. They offer advice and pace the service wellhether you’re sitting at the bar watching the chefs or at a communal table. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, heavily featuring South Australian producers and some international options. However, it was the perfect night to order ‘GinkaTonic’ as I always called it

On a High Note, the sweet finale was the peanut butter parfait—a decadent explosion of mousse, caramelized banana, chocolate and salted caramel. It was indulgent and impossible not to finish.

Outstanding restaurant, they were able to cater for our big group of seven people and a pescatarian. The set menu is generous and the flavours of the various dishes were exciting and most of all delicious. Highlights included the wood fired flat bread, crispy chicken skin sandwich with dip, whole fired cauliflower and the peppermint slice dessert. Service was excellent, familiar and we felt well looked after.

Absolutely wonderful, we were seated right at the bar which had the best atmosphere, got to watch all the chef’s at work and the servers were all great. Food was amazing, we could barely keep up with the generous portion sizes they gave, and everything had so much flavour. 11 dishes overall for the $85 pp feed me menu is an absolute amazing deal. We came for our anniversary and would love to come back in a heartbeat!

A Warm and Memorable Evening at Africola

We enjoyed a lovely Friday evening with the work crew at Africola, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The three-course chef’s selection menu was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour without being overpowering. The mild spice added just the right touch, leaving everyone feeling comfortably full and satisfied.

The wait staff were genuinely friendly and engaging, creating a welcoming atmosphere and clearly enjoying what they do. Even though we were seated outside on a crisp winter night, the outdoor heating kept us cosy throughout the evening.

Africola is definitely a great spot for catching up with friends, family, or colleagues over a relaxed and memorable meal. Highly recommended!

This was by far the best place I have had dinner at in Adelaide. The food flavors are out of this world, and I would recommend the Feed Me option. For drinks, definitely try the Smacked Cucumber cocktail. There is just nothing like it! They had run out of ingredients for it, so we could not order more which means everybody else must love it too. Yep, I will keep on going back until I have tried everything on the menu this amazing and talented chef has created.

Adelaide is such an amazing town for food, so I had anticipated our last night visit to Africola all week. While it was good, it was not the mind blowing experience I had hoped for. Food is good, just not amazing. Staff maybe had an off night, but we felt abandoned for long periods of time. Best dish for me was the hummus, but even that lacked punch. The steak was good, but I was expecting something really tasty.

Greek wraps, plates and treats. My combo open plate was prepared quickly, and it was very good. The two types of plant-meat shreds came with tzatziki, salad and pieces of grilled pita bread. There are also treats:, all great: Greek cookie, baklava and wagon wheel. Indoor bar seating and outdoor tables.

The best yiros I’ve ever had! Ordered a side of chips thinking we’d still be hungry, Yiro’s were huge, and absolutely delicious. Went back the next day again, No wonder this place has such a good name. Will be back again and again

THE best of THE best…… wow!!!! The lamb open plate and the pita bread is amazing. This place has a chokehold on me and every time we visit Adelaide from Melbourne, we head straight there for the past few years! They are consistently the best and nothing like it in either Sydney or Melbourne with the same authentic Greek taste without the blood and animal death involved 🙂 THANK YOU!

I checked their ratings and thought of giving it a try. They do amazing mock meat Vegan Yiros. One of the best that I’ve had. The bread was so soft and fresh and taste really good. Their ratings are fully justified, highly recommend them!

Third visit in two years. Fast vegan food in great location for shows and films. Small menu but very well done. Excellent pitta lamb tzatziki combination. Decent fries. Seating on tables on the street – but everything is quick so that’s fine. It’s our go to pre-cinema Palace Nova).

Loving this delicious plant based takeaway shop down in the East End. I was so caught up with the taste of my ‘lamb’ yiros, I had to come back the next day to take photos for this review. Friendly staff and a few seats available in or outdoors. This is a pretty good city for plant based options and at this restaurant, plant based is the option.

Upstairs in Adelaide Arcade. Balcony has view of Rundle Mall.
Sodas, shakes, flavoured hot chocolate, comfort food like mac-n-cheese, burgers, onion rings, decadent pastries. I enjoyed the sarsparilla soda. The Caesar salad is excellent. I’ve also enjoyed the Coyote Cheeseburger and Sticky Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream.
Must specify vegan, if that’s what you want, since they also offer dairy.

I was visiting Adelaide for the day and this was my first stop for a bite to eat, if there wasn’t other places I wanted to try I would have eaten here for every meal. The menu has many options, I settled for a burger and a beer. Being from out of state venturing into the Adelaide arcade for lunch was an adventure of its own. Friendly staff and possibly one of the best burgers I’ve had as a vego!

My wife and I visited for the first time today, and went home very full and happy!

As vegans we always love trying new places and can’t believe we haven’t been here before.

The burgers were awesome, the house made “chicken” was incredibly delicious!

We also loved the special, Choc Honeycomb Thickshake. As well as the soda, made in house too!

Will be back to try some of the other amazing menu items, so many great options.

Also picked up a vegan custard tart from Clara’s Cakes while we were there, so good!

Tasty food that non-vegans should enjoy too, if they like fast food.

Friendly staff.

One warning though, as of August 2025, all of the chicken burgers are spicy, and the menu didn’t make this clear to me. One is only mildly spicy, but some people don’t enjoy even this or, as in my case, do enjoy it but have a bad reaction. I’d recommend saving the chili and pepper for the sauces so that one of the burgers can be vanilla, but if not at least make the menu clear, and be clear with customers if they ask about it. The seitan texture is not the meatiest I’ve had, a bit porous, but still tasty.

Waiting to be seated even at times when it’s almost empty feels a little strange, but I guess they have their reasons.

Overall a good establishment with good people and good vibes.

If you’re looking for a warm and hearty meal at the Adelaide Central Markets, then look no further than Le Souk, serving a variety of Algerian cuisine

Having won awards at the Adelaide Royal Show and ranked a 2020 TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Winner (i.e. ranked in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide), I see why Le Souk deserves its awards

There is seating at the table booths and external seating around Le Souk.

The first time I passed Le Souk, Azou (the owner) asked me if I would like to date him, which weirded me (as I initially thought he was a random passerby), but in his hand was a bowl full of fruit dates and tongs in his other hand. He gave me a fruit date.
Turns out that he approaches customers too, with his date puns.
I think it’s an effective way to attract customers, because that will be my most memorable part of Le Souk, and Azou is friendly too.
The date was really sweet and nice.

I returned to Le Souk after walking around the entire market, for brunch (not because of the dates), where I was greeted warmly by the lady cooking the paellas and Azou.

I ordered a large chicken paella for $18.70 ($18.50 + $0.20 card surcharge ), which was immediately served hot in a large plastic bowl

The first bite was amazing. The flavours blended well. The chicken and rice was soft. The portion was huge.
Azou offered me another fruit date, which paired well with the paella.
Overall, the meal was incredibly satisfying and evoked a homeliness feeling

I highly recommend eating at Le Souk to anyone who goes to the Adelaide Central Markets; it was my most favourite meal in Adelaide.

Be prepared, for Azou has many date puns up his sleeve

Thank you Le Souk for a delicious paella and good dining experience

The exceptional service at Le Souk elevates an already outstanding dining experience to new heights. It’s evident that every staff member approaches their work with genuine love and respect, which makes the food taste even better.

I was genuinely impressed by the care, respect, delicacy, and joy with which we were served throughout our visit. The attention to detail in both service and cuisine was remarkable.

The flavors were absolutely spectacular, particularly the chicken paella and chicken couscous, both of which delivered an unforgettable culinary experience.

The service alone makes this restaurant worthy of a standing ovation. The staff’s dedication to ensuring a perfect dining experience sets Le Sour apart from other establishments.

Without hesitation, I would return and highly recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you for providing such a memorable dining experience.

Busy lunchtime, but enough staff to handle it, and my bowl meal arrived quickly. Happy to find this place, must return another few times while I’m in town. I’ve had the tofu scramble and mango smoothie bowl (served ice-cold). I enjoyed some sweets and treats: a layered slice, apple crumble, apricot Danish pastry, lemon cronut and hazelnut donut. Also available are ciabatta sandwiches, grilled cheesy croissants, daily soup, daily hot-pot and lots more. Pleasant staff.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely service by the friendly staff. We all ordered burgers which were great, which had a generous serving of chips. The mushroom schnitzel burger had crispy crunchy crumbing. We shared the Hawaiian supreme pizza which was incredible. The pizza base was amazing, I normally don’t enjoy crusts but this was an exception. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh and full of flavour. We also got the Cauliflower fritters which had a lovely seasoning in the batter. Definitely keen to go back and will be ordering a pizza for myself!

The vegan “bacon” is very impressive, looked like real bacon. They use sustainable straws to ingredients, meals are very healthy and filling, leaving very satisfied each visit. We had our monthly anniversary dinner here last night and had an amazing experience. We have been to many establishments and this place is definitely up there in the top few. The food was thoughtfully curated and balance of flavour was perfect. The ambience was just nice, semi fine dining semi casual and relaxed. And to top it off, the highlight of the night was our waiter Aaron who was exceptional in every sense ! 6 stars for Aaron. Will definitely be back.

Best restaurant I’ve been to (and I’m including half of Europe)!! Incredible food and wine, absolutely flawless service, really great vibe (not too loud either). Worked around dietries without any issue and made me a birthday plate. New favourite and worth the (fair) cost

I had the pleasure of attending Aurora / ILA’s Winter Forest Immersive Table recently and had a brilliant experience!

There were several highlights of the evening, the first of which was the food. We enjoyed a 5-course meal, with some favourite courses being the “perfect egg” entree, the duck breast main, and the quince-based dessert. There were no faults: the dishes were incredibly unique, tasty, and memorable.

The service was also top-tier. We had a few servers at our table throughout the evening, all of whom were personable, attentive, and engaging. And the host of the evening, Aaran, did a great job at setting the tone of the evening and guiding everyone through the courses.

Lastly, the setting was amazing. The VFX elements, music, table settings, and floral arrangements were all excellent and rounded out the experience well.

10/10 experience, and I’d highly recommend Aurora to anyone!

I took my partner here for our four year anniversary, and we found the food delicious, modern, fresh and highly creative. Service was highly attentive, and the decor and atmosphere were fantastic. We chose the five course dégustation menu, and every dish was original, interesting and thoughtfully crafted.

The kangaroo dish was unique with a careful blend of Mediterranean and South East Asian flavours. The market fish (Murray Cod) with horseradish sauce was impeccably fresh and perfectly cooked. One dish in particular, the duck with pickled red cabbage, brought back memories of my time living in Franconia in Southern Germany. When I mentioned this to waiter, he told us the head chef is from Southern Germany. Only someone truly connected with German cuisine could have crafted such a dish.

Of the fine dining experiences I’ve had in Adelaide, Aurora may be the finest. It easily competes with Michelin Star restaurants that we’ve experienced in Europe. We’ll definitely be coming back.

I was looking forward to dining at Aurora and I was delighted with the experience! The atmosphere, service and food were all excellent. Presentation, attention to detail and flavours all hit the mark. Each dish was a unique experience…all 5 of them.. well, actually 7 + the house made olive scroll to start. All accompanied by matching wines which were interesting and complimentary. Best of all, when the bill came we felt like the experience was very much worth it! Well done to all the staff…we hope you are part of the Adelaide dining scene for a long time to come… we’re already planning our next visit!

Great dining experience at aurora. The atmosphere was elegant, but the service was just ok. The lady with red hair ignored us multiple times when we tried to order even though she was next to our table and looking at us. The main courses were truly the highlight—full of bold, well-balanced flavours and beautifully plated. I especially enjoyed the steak, which was tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right.

The desserts were just as impressive. The apple dessert in particular was a standout—creative, comforting, and absolutely delicious. You can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. It’s the kind of place where you leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for refined, flavour-forward dining in Adelaide
