Le Souk

Came here for breakfast, specifically for its delicious Chicken Paella. Very delicious and hearty meal for one. Cappuccino on the other had was very pleasant with beautiful chocolate powder art on top. Overall, an enjoyable experience with a very friendly owner as well!

Excellent again. The owner is very entertaining & a real salesman & keen to share his Saharan dates. We shared a chicken tagine $40 which comes with a couscous/bean mix & toasted roll. Sensational. Got to sit at counter which adds to experience. Lovely to sit & watch food pep incl paella. Drinks available incl coffee. Worth a visit. Takeaway or eat in.

Visit Date: Tuesday 10 June, ~10:05am If you're looking for a warm and hearty meal at the Adelaide Central Markets, then look no further than Le Souk, serving a variety of Algerian cuisine Having won awards at the Adelaide Royal Show and ranked a 2020 TripAdvisor's Traveller's Choice Winner (i.e. ranked in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide), I see why Le Souk deserves its awards There is seating at the table booths and external seating around Le Souk. The first time I passed Le Souk, Azou (the owner) asked me if I would like to date him, which weirded me (as I initially thought he was a random passerby), but in his hand was a bowl full of fruit dates and tongs in his other hand. He gave me a fruit date. Turns out that he approaches customers too, with his date puns. I think it's an effective way to attract customers, because that will be my most memorable part of Le Souk, and Azou is friendly too. The date was really sweet and nice. I returned to Le Souk after walking around the entire market, for brunch (not because of the dates), where I was greeted warmly by the lady cooking the paellas and Azou. I ordered a large chicken paella for $18.70 ($18.50 + $0.20 card surcharge ), which was immediately served hot in a large plastic bowl The first bite was amazing. The flavours blended well. The chicken and rice was soft. The portion was huge. Azou offered me another fruit date, which paired well with the paella. Overall, the meal was incredibly satisfying and evoked a homeliness feeling I highly recommend eating at Le Souk to anyone who goes to the Adelaide Central Markets; it was my most favourite meal in Adelaide. The exceptional service at Le Souk elevates an already outstanding dining experience to new heights. It's evident that every staff member approaches their work with genuine love and respect, which makes the food taste even better. I was genuinely impressed by the care, respect, delicacy, and joy with which we were served throughout our visit. The attention to detail in both service and cuisine was remarkable. The flavors were absolutely spectacular, particularly the chicken paella and chicken couscous, both of which delivered an unforgettable culinary experience. The service alone makes this restaurant worthy of a standing ovation. The staff's dedication to ensuring a perfect dining experience sets Le Sour apart from other establishments. Without hesitation, I would return and highly recommend this restaurant to others. Thank you for providing such a memorable dining experience.

My first ever Algerian food. Get to try Algerian tea and the experience. I love it immediately: This place is amazing. Thumbs up for the owner aziz and the chef arti. And the staffs are amazing. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back and bring more friends.

The food was pleasant. The price was slightly too high for what i received however the service is warm and polite. Overall i had a decent experience but it could've been better.

Absolutely fantastic fresh food! The owner cooks everything and is super friendly! We had the Paella and the slow cooked Lamb and they were amazing! Huge serves and very well priced. P.S the Harissa was mind blowing, we bought a jar to take away.
