Been coming here for about 10 years and first time since the re fit-out. Also the first time having a burger and it was amazing.. probably the best burger I’ve ever had…. Which is a big call, but true. The steaks here are amazing, along with all starters. Great vibe and can’t go wrong.
We went for the tasting menu which is absolutely a great experience. It starts from delicate flavours and gradually builds from there. Textures too. There are no trying-too-hard favours and such which we greatly appreciate - food shouldn't be complicated, if you know what I mean. Service is impeccable. Wine recommendations are superb. It's a busy place but there is still personal space between tables. We will be back.
Visiting Adelaide for holiday, my partner and I booked this place randomly. Nice quiet place, atmosphere pleasant and intimate. We chose the set menu they had at the time and got to try things we wouldn't normally go for - the Fregola dish! That was the highlight for me. Phenomenal. Portions were good between us and we left happy.
booked for a Valentine’s Day dinner over a month in advance, arrived and we were told to sit outside. Upon booking it advised the menu selection was not set, however we were then told it was a specific set menu. The entree we were served to share was ridiculously small portioned, and the gnocchi fritti served was laughable for a chef to serve that on a plate. $215 for a very disappointing experience, no value for money. Staff were nice, but long wait times in-between service
Hands down, the BEST steak I've ever had in my life —and I know my steaks! Every bite was perfection: tender, juicy, and cooked to absolute mastery. The presentation? Stunning —every dish looked like a piece of art. We also shared a few starters, and wow, they were next-level! Perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavour . Wait times were a bit longer than expected ⏳, but I think it was because we asked to share starters (our bad ). Totally worth the wait, though—flawless experience overall! If you’re in Adelaide, do yourself a favour and check this place out!
Robbed - A party of 5 dined here for my sons birthday. I can only describe the portions as ridiculous. Two of us ordered the Blue Swimmer Crab Pappardelle for $38 each and it was entree size, with a small amount of crab placed on top. The chef should be ashamed of himself for letting that leave. The burger looked like a slider and was once again foolish. It looked like a kiddies meal. The bread we ordered was a thin and small baguette slice, half the size of my palm. There were two steaks ordered, a bowl of fries and a bowl of potato sides and also another pasta dish that was incredibly small. We all left hungry and went somewhere else to finish off. We had friends ask us about the dinner as they were planning to go and we recommended they dine elsewhere. There are much better places that don't skimp on the food. Try Georges on Waymouth (just up the road) or the Meat and Wine Co. We will never return.
We dined here on Saturday night, and the food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the wagyu steak and soy pork bun. I deducted a star because there was a long wait between the entree and mains. The atmosphere on the first floor was more appealing than upstairs. We were seated next to an old, rickety room divider, which didn’t quite match the elegant, modern vibe of the cuisine—just a minor detail.
