After being to a couple different groomers Dog FX are by far the best. Communication was easy and thorough and when I dropped my dog off I left confident in what her cut would look like, when I picked her up it was above and beyond my expectations. The quality they offer is top notch and in my opinion reasonably priced for what they do, plus they offer discounted daycare rates with grooming which is super handy. I’ll definitely be back for both the grooming and the daycare!

Hamish looked fabulous after his groom. He resembled a woolly yak beforehand, and now is a handsome Scotty.

Absolutely unacceptable. They ignored my instructions, shaved my dog unevenly, left his nails long, and caused him so much stress. I will never return and warn others to stay away! Very heartbreaking experience!

Pretty poor experience. Had requested for a poodle cut and although the cut was good they cut my dog on his cheeks by either going in too close to the skin or their razors aren’t that good. I had complained, to which a call back was promised, which did happen after about four days from the complaint randomly and unfortunately I was busy in a meeting, so called back at the end of the day, only to be told Meghan had left and would call back when she was back in. Nobody got back to me and this in spite of sharing the pictures with them. I had to spend 300 dollars to get him checked and for creams as he started to itch the wounds and they kept opening, not the mention the cone he was confined to. Stuff like this happens, but the service was pretty disappointing.

Mima’s Grooming is so amazing at what they’re doing and couldn’t not recommend enough. This is my pup first haircut. Thanks to Mima’s and the team have made it such a wonderful experience for her. She came out looking completely gorgeous and so happy. The place is very busy and all the pups are noticeably so well behaved during the grooming and happy. It’s definitely worth to book in advance for their appointment as they’re very flexible with dates and times and I wouldn’t go elsewhere. A++++

The staff at Mima’s are so kind. I was having a bit of a day and they were so understanding and kind. They went above and beyond to wash my dog, who had rolled in something ghastly. I’m very grateful for their service and highly recommend them.

Have been going to Mimi’s for 3 years now. My furbabies always look perfectly pampered after a visit. She is soo good you really need to book ahead her clientel is getting pretty full on. The first time I forgot I had to go elsewhere and on of mine came out looking like a white rate. Won’t happen again I’m sticking with Mima from know on

We took our Cavoodle to Mimas for a full groom. Amazing service and a great team! The cut is exactly what I asked for, she was ready to be picked up exactly when they told me and she smelt amazing. Thank you everyone at Mimas for being so professional and friendly.

I turned up on the right day and time for my Labrador’s grooming, just the wrong month unfortunately (haha), I was one month early and the staff at Mima’s grooming were very sweet about it… they were fully booked and I was about to leave after realising my mistake when they told me they had a few cancellations and were still happy to squeeze us in… I am super grateful to them, they’ve always been a perfect business to deal with. Dogcity Kent Town is an absolute blessing to any dog parent in Adelaide. We began taking our little baby here as a puppy and it was the best decision we’ve made. From positive socialising to a stress free working day for us, they provide the best. They even take pictures of your puppy and send them over when they’re going through the puppy pawgram.

The team are always welcoming with a smile and it becomes our pups favourite time of the week. We’ll always be taking our baby here and everyone else should consider doing the exact same.

The vigorous tail wags from my baby dog are a clear measure of his own 5/5 review. If he could, he would be a rotary-wing aviator – flying solo to his favourite place. Thank you, DogCity Kent Town, for making my dachsund x staffy immensely happy.

I can’t thank the team at Kent Town enough. They stepped in at short notice to look after my fur babies when my husband was involved in a motorbike accident. Their kindness and care gave me such peace of mind during a really stressful time. It meant the world not having to worry about my pets while focusing on my husband’s recovery. Staff are awesome! Dogs have a great time, great for their socialisation with different sizes. Price is not too bad. The grooming is a great service and reasonably priced with some daycare included.

Charlie literally hops his way in, he gets so excited. The staff are great and the place seems well run. He gets his haircut done here too, which are quite good. Just make sure to book ahead, as they can get booked out.

Wonderful people who treat my dog with love and care. I can tell they’re good to my dog when I’m not there because at their recent open day my normally shy sheltie happily ran up to all staff for kisses and treats.

We take our two golden retrievers here pretty regularly. They both love it, and well taken care of. Ruby even celebrated her first birthday here! LOL. We love the report card we get, and the cute pics. Ruby pulls on the lead she’s so eager to get in there and hang out with the people and the other doggos. Our newest girl, Rosie is a tad less confident and the DDC (Kent Town) staff have been providing extra special cuddles and observation on her for us. Watch for open days, specials to get a bundle pack of sessions cheaper!

Wonderful service! They have been taking care of our little Maltese Buddy for many years, and always do a wonderful job. He is old and sore now and they are patient and kind with him, we know he will be taken care of and come back looking great. Highly recommend!

Would not recommend. I was charged extra due to my small dog apparently not liking his front legs being shaved! I have never had issues elsewhere. Did not appreciate flippant comments like “hope he will be a good boy today”. Obviously no compassion, a production line and just want the $$$. Made me feel like we were an inconvenience. Rude and grumpy staff!

City slickers is the only grooming salon I’ll ever take my pomeranian to for her hair cuts. Narelle and her staff are always friendly and efficient and are very reasonably priced.

If you’re looking for a grooming service who are friendly, reliable and affordable I highly recommend trying City Slickers.

I tried a few places closer to home but never got the same quality cut I got from Narelle. Definitely worth the drive when I pick her up and she looks her best.

Can’t rate City Slickers highly enough, great service and my dog is excited to go every time. Arlo always looks fantastic and after her Christmas trim she came home with a bow in her hair, so cute

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE and just plain NASTY
I did work for these people and at a very cheap rate. The work was excellent (as always). I found City Slickers management to be ungrateful and incredibly rude (I mean REALLY RUDE). I was treated with much disrespect. You can avoid this by going elsewhere. I could never recommend City Slickers – even to my dog.

The service and care is No 1 and i have always been so happy with them.

I have been bringing my little Potato here for a couple of months now and I’m always happy with the results when I pick her up. She always smells and looks great. The team take amazing care of her and are fantastic with communication.

I came with my under a kilo half Chihuahua/Maltese and had a great experience. Lovey stuff and quick service. My dog came back with a great quality cut and a cute little bow tie. I look forward to bringing them again and recommending their services to people I know!

I’ve been bringing my dog to Fur babies (Leah & team) for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier. She always does an amazing job, leaving my dog looking and feeling great every time.

Her prices are affordable, and she’s always reliable and quick. I also love that if there’s ever a cancellation, she’s able to get him in even sooner, which is a huge bonus.

I have never dealt with such unprofessional staff. I had a simple problem with my booking (which I tried calling about before leaving, but they never answered my call or voicemail). When I asked in person, I was spoken to aggressively by a staff member who was clearly overbooked and overwhelmed, taking their frustrations out on me instead of acting professionally. I had to actually ask the staff member to stop speaking to me rudely and aggressively.
After saying I would be going elsewhere, I was yelled at with “good luck at ya next place” as I walked out the door. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I will not be returning and do not recommend this business.

Our Border Collie Indie is a nervous groomer but Leah always looks after her fantastically and she looks great afterwards.
There always on time and finish as promised unlike our previous groomer that took about 5 hours!

When you finally find a Dog Groomer who listens to you and knows how to groom a King Charles Cavalier the place is welcoming, the staff understanding and Cassidy even played well with the other doggies. I felt very comfortable from the moment I arrived. Also the fact that other dogs being groomed were not hidden in a back room that couldn’t be seen. I highly recommend it. My top pick for sure!

I am commenting in support of my colleague and friend of many years Cristina. Following a review she posted of her experience with this business recently, a response to her review was posted by the business which is defamatory of Cristina’s character. Having known Cristina professionally and personally for many years, I can attest to Cristina being a person of good character who is a respectful, caring, kind and generous person. The assessment of her character in response to her review is unprofessional and unwarranted. It is clear from reading several other reviews that there are many other people that have had similar experiences with this business.

This is a warning to new customers.

This is not about my dogs cut, but the way the owner has treated me.

BACKGROUND
I’ve been going here for 14 months and have had two instances that I gave ‘feedback’ on, being that my dog was cut too short. The first time this happened I asked them to put on my notes to not cut her short again. I wasn’t complaining… just letting them know…no biggy. I was met with a defensive and aggressive response from the owner, which shocked me, as it was unwarranted and out of line.

My dog has now been cut short again to a short summer cut, so I felt the need to remind them not to cut her that short. This is the second time I’ve said anything. I wasn’t angry, or complaining, just reminding them. I was stunned by the owners response, which was again defensive and aggressive, plus she added personal attacks. I was told that they did exactly what I asked, which is not the case. I specifically said that the ‘short’ summer cut is too ‘short’. (NOTE: It is on my file to never cut my dog ‘short’). (For context _ Karina on the front desk showed me a length with her fingers to be approx. 1 and 1/3 inches long, which I was happy with. If the owner had asked Karina to show her that finger measurement, she would’ve known it was greater than the length of the cut, which was 1/3 of an inch.) The owner went on to accuse me of being argumentative, and of having unrealistic expectations, which I couldn’t understand. I was even told to go elsewhere because they would not groom my dog again. I honestly could not believe what I was reading. This couldn’t be real, could it?

I’m a senior, who was raised in an era when respect, kindness, and common courtesy was the norm, so I find this behaviour incredulous and hurtful (from anyone, let alone a business). Simply because I reminded them, 1 time, not to cut her that short, I was told to go elsewhere.

I couldn’t help noticing that the owner has edited here original response to be less aggressive and more professional, yet she still personally attacked me. She FALSELY accused ME of improper behaviour.
I take issue with her accusation that my behaviour was entitled and that I had something to complain about on every visit.

If that were in any way true, then why would I return? It doesn’t make sense.
If simply reminding her once (1 time) not to cut my dog that short makes me entitled, then I suppose I am.
I’ve had dogs for 25 years, so I’m experienced enough to know what lengths are short, or not. It’s offensive to be treated like I have no knowledge at all.
I, hand on heart, hand on bible, even swear on my precious dog’s life, categorically and publicly declare, that I have never at any given time, complained, been rude, demanding, or argumentative when dealing with this business. I don’t have an entitled bone in my body! To be accused of doing and being so is slanderous and defamatory. No one deserves to be treated so unconscionably. It is for this reason that I give a 1 star rating. I’m sorry I chose to ignore the negative reviews about this owners aggression because this is quite distressing.

I’ve had dogs for 25 years and have never experienced anything remotely like this with my previous 3 groomers. I have always been treated in the same manner in which I treat others, i.e. with kindness and respect.

Early in the year, I recommend this business to a colleague, who brought something up after her second visit. She experienced the same aggression from the owner, so decided there and then to go elsewhere.

So just beware if you find that you need to give any feedback. You may as well just find another groomer because this owner clearly won’t take it well.

Good customer service goes a long way, which sadly falls short with this owner.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. Dog grooming was average, however we discovered his foot covered with blood after it dripped on the floor when we got home due to the nails being clipped too far. Understand mistakes can happen, but there was no mention of it at all during collection.

Such an amazing grooming salon! I booked my 3 year old labradoodle (who doesn’t like haircuts) in for a groom and when picked up he was asleep and calm. Definitely a much better experience for myself and dog compared to our previous grimmer. Thank you!

My puppy is never so excited as she is when she realises she’s coming to get a groom with Penn! It’s such a big thing to trust someone with what could be scary for a little puppy and it’s so obvious how caring they are here by how much she loves it.

Having Bichon Frise they need to be clipped regularly. We have had multiple groomers over the years and Mike’s has done a fantastic job. Our dog has Cushing’s thus grooming is not easy but the results have been flawless. Recommend 100% !!!

Had very bad experience here. Literally took 2 people 3 hours to cut 3.5 kg toy poodle which had uneven hair all over and left chunk of hair under the neck, hands and leg and charged $230 for clipper down the hair. Very unprofessional wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Today, I took my Lucky cat to take a bath. After washing, the cat’s hair is very soft and fragrant. The staff in the store are very good to cats . By the way, I bought a lot of snacks and staple foods for the cat that he likes very much. My cat likes to eat snacks from MikeNeko’s shop the most. This store is really great, and the decoration is also very nice

I came across this bussiness on Facebook last minute and too my surprise was contacted back and given an appointment time very quickly!
Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady who had a beautiful presence and asked all the right questions I’m what I was wanting. Shortly after my puppy came back to me and he looks like a brand new dog I am beyond words… she is fantastic at what she does he looks fluffy still for winter but groomed like a perfect teddy bear! His scarf and mouth full of treats shows the level of care she has for dogs and I am so lucky I found her… I’m a client forever now .. worth every penny ✨ many thanks from loui and I
