Very dirty & clothes everywhere which made me question using the machines
Matt was awesome! I understand the high rating this laundromat receives due to the personal service. Being from Sydney, I’m used to laundromats are where you drop laundry off and pick it up later. It seems on the west coast, you do your own laundry! So imagine my relief when Matt came to the rescue suggesting which washer to use and actually personally putting soap then my clothes into machine and putting coins in to start laundry! He even handed over 4 x $1 coins for dryer! Which left me with nothing to do but sample local yummy food @ E for Ethel’s organic cafe nearby Exceptional customer service Matt
A bit dirty, as ir seems no one is taking care of it. No sign to clean the filter of the dryer - it was super dirty. It is so good they offer the laundry powder and you can pay with cards but it cannot be the card on you phone. Good be much better
When we were doing our laundry it wasn't well maintained, not free soap available either coffee. Small improvement should be considered.
Previous experiences were brilliant... Matt, the previous owner was a wonder... Now, with less washers and smaller dryers and less flexible dryers too. Last night I discovered they were "Temporarily closed" ... No indication of for how long or why... (Had their HWS spring a leak? Were their dryers blowing electrical fuses? Was someone using the place as their own personal toilet? I have no idea & there was nothing apparently wrong from what I could observe...) Now I have to find somewhere else and they won't be getting this fortnight's $$ form me...
I ended up spending more then intended because a dryer took my money but did not complete the full cycle. The dryer only loaded 10 minutes instead of 45 but on the pay screen and mobile site said it has 35 minutes left on the cycle, yet no cycle ran or could be started. Two machine were kinda gross and has rice and food all through it, another covered in dog hair. The floors are also a bit rank, I like the spongy orange as an aesthetic buuutttt maybe not the best choice for a laundromat. I do enjoy/ stand by the concept of the laundry service and that it is for charity etc. so I'll probably be back. But yeaaahh maybe look at the charging or having some supplies to wipe down machines etc.
The team at Orange Sky provide a mobile laundry van, washing and drying clothing "Free of Charge" for people doing it tough in the Adelaide community. Thankyou!
