HOYTS Arndale

It was a great experience. This is located in Arndale. The seats were comfortable. The seats don’t recline although there is enough room to stretch your legs. The screen has good clarity and sound system was clear and loud. It was not jarring. The theatre didn’t have any odour. It Was clean, smelled fresh!

Poor experience. Had to line up to watch a movie that began late. Mid crowd. Poor facilities no drink holder for my XXL Pepsi (max ofc). Went well with the fat peanuts M&Ms we snuck in. It cancelled out. Jokes on them.

Hoyts Arndale… decent enough theatre with good options and facilities. Playing all the latest flicks. Overall a pleasant experience but wouldn’t say it’s up to the highest standard of cinemas to attend in SA. The theatre we were in had great sound and the viewing experience was nice but the chairs are getting a little tired. Popcorn was nice and salty but wish they would pack it a little tighter. Get more bang for your buck. But can’t complain overall - $15 tickets as a Hoyts member is pretty decent. I would boost it to a 4 star if the offered a self service popcorn and candy bar. Beggars can’t be choosers though eh.

The movie was good except for the guy who was checking tickets around 9.30. If I’m not wrong, his name is Jass. We had some drinks with us and he didn’t allow us in, speaking in a really rude voice. We asked him if we could leave them outside with him and take them back after the movie since we parked the car quite far away and we were running late, but he rejected us, which is fine. Then he said we should just stay outside and finish it??? In the end, we had to walk back to the car, and he was staring at us from the window to make sure we put the drinks away. When my partner asked him what his name was, he replied his name+ "I will keep an eye on you." Is he threatening my partner? What kind of customer service is that? This used to be my favourite cinema and we came here very often, but never again after this kind of service. Google only lets me give 1 star, but if I could, I would give 0.

Took my family to see the new Lilo and Stitch movie. The staff were supportive, kind, compassionate and understanding. The cinema was clean, surprisingly because it's a cinema. The seats were super comfortable, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Staff were extremely unhelpful in regards to the special edition velocor raptor head deal even though we purchased 4 tickets and 4 meal combos. I was told 'you need Uber one, but I don't know what else to do" Well, I have Uber one and yet your own staff have ZERO idea about their own promotions? Absolute joke.

The one and only hoyts which shows all sort of movies from different languages. Good atmosphere More screens Plenty of parking space
