Although the Norwood cinema is far from home, it feels more comfortable to watch the movie, the sofa seat is retractable, the seat spacing of each row is more spacious, and the front and back rows are almost not affected, and will go again.

This maybe the one only of it’s kind , what a amazing platform and a great experience the LUX & EXTREME EVEN THE D BOX all it’s cinemas , this place has everything at this location great food , restaurants Thai , Mexican, bars for experienced punter even a Barbecue restaurant ,ice cream bar & snacks has everything to the adults & the kids .Side bye side each other or not even a minute away this place is great secret that needs to be explored in more ways than one .Been here with family friends & loved ones countless times .Paramount for all your needs amazing location easy parking as it’s free with the purchase of the movie tickets , so much more here than you can poke a stick at so to speak .

Disgusting! Waited outside cinema 3 after getting told it was being cleaned. When I walked in the entire cinema was like a dumpster. Bins were full, rubbish all over the floor and worse-melted chocolate was all over the seat where I was supposed to be sitting. This is very unacceptable from a place where hygiene should be priority.

We love this cinema! We come from the far south side of town because it’s worth the drive. Staff are very friendly and pleasant and the cinemas are so modern and well set out with endless leg room and the most dreamy comfortable seats that also recline with the push of a button. My only criticism would be that sometimes I miss some of the movie because I’m so relaxed & comfy I nod off accidentally. Just divine. Has spoilt me for other cinemas, they all seem so inferior and now I’ve become a cinema snob

Tried to watch Fantastic Four yet the young teenage kids celebrating a birthday party had other ideas. They didn’t seem to mind that non party patrons who paid top dollar were trying to watch yet couldn’t hear over them. The 2 ,so called parents, didn’t seem to mind nor did the staff. Despite notifying staff who came into the cinema they did nothing to address the noise. The owner said he would email us complimentary tickets as compensation but this never happened either. Pfffft we won’t be back. Wallis cinemas we continue to be our go to.

Cinema was great, clean, recliners were great.

Issues came from the lack of food and snacks, the front was so tiny with nothing to really choose from. The popcorn was disgusting. It was so salty, my mouth still hurts today from it haha. We got the “large” and it’s so much smaller then Event Cinema, was shocked. It was depicted as massive on the screens.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. Bought DBox tickets to the F1 movie – arrived and 5 mins before the session was to start we realised our seats weren’t working. We went to see the staff and they then advised the seats weren’t working due to a previous power outage. This was after we spent $120 on snacks and the staff watched us go in and didn’t say a word to us about it. They could have told us before we went in – ideally before we bought snacks so we could have decided to either stay or get a refund. They couldn’t care less and probably hoped we’d just put up with it. Plus the cinema was filthy. No wonder the cinemas were empty.

We had a private screening of The Substance to cap off a Halloween bus tour in 2024. We arrived fairly messy and left even messier however the professionals at The Palace took extremely good care of us. From the setup to the end – they were amazing. For a great price, I cannot recommend a private screening for you and your friends enough at Palace Nova. Thanks so much guys 🙂

The theater is good. Location is a bit tucked away. Kept well. Neat and clean. The cafe has quite a variety of Snacks, coffee & Juices. They serve wine too. Lots of good movies playing. There are around 12 Cinemas. Been here to see The movie…THE SUBSTANCE. On the whole a good experience ✨️ ☺️

I came here a couple of weeks ago to watch Death of a Unicorn before the Gather Round opening game. I honestly never knew this cinema was related to Cinema Nova in Melbourne. What even surprised me more is that this may be the only independent cinema with a Premium Large Format. (a cinema that isn’t Hoyts or Event that has a PLF). Cinema 1 is named EXIMAX and it used to be an IMAX theatre, the screen is huge there.

Besides the history, the place is quite nice, loved the French Jazz that was playing in the foyer, had nice atmosphere. The staff were helpful and the cinema was easy to navigate. The value is so good for students, 13 dollar tickets EVERYDAY for students is a steal, 13 dollars is the price of Cheap Tuesday tickets at Hoyts, Event and Village. 13-16 dollar tickets daily should be the norm for all cinemas depending on the experience as it brings loads of people to watch movies. Loads of people were in my theatre due to the extremely affordable tickets. The auditorium I was in was comfortable, but it could use an upgrade. The sound and screen quality was good.

My only gripe with this cinema is that it’s hard to find, no signs to follow and its tucked away behind very small laneways.

But overall, it’s a great cinema, very affordable and good value for students.

The floor is looking a bit worse for wear but the seats were good. I was in a smallish screen but it was still quite good and the audio was fine.

Overall I would recommend it if you are in the city or if you are after a movie that is less mainstream or at the end of showing.

My go-to cinema to see new films! The bar staff are lovely and make good drinks. The popcorn is always fresh and delicious ☺️
The seats aren’t the most comfortable but they have cup holders and the cinema has always been clean when I’m there.
Prices are good here and if you’re a regular movie-goer, they have a good membership plan for you to get great value too.

Great movie but foyer is tired and struggling, needs a dynamic upgrade. Get rid of the old thread bare carpet go with a timber look flooring far easier to clean and maintain bench seating is hard and showing signs of the abuse it has been subjected to.

Cool cinema in a cool little alley area in the Adelaide Uni precinct. Great location and near the groovy Howling Owl bar serving gins and other beverages from SA. Also surrounded by jazz record, book and comic book stores.

Nice old cinema with a great vibe.
Went here a couple of times to watch the candlelight live orchestra and rent the place to play switch with friends.
Great place, great fun

This isn’t your average multiplex – the Capri Theatre is a genuine piece of Adelaide’s history. You can feel the character as soon as you walk in. The art deco architecture is super cool, and it’s got a real nostalgic charm that the big chain cinemas just can’t match. Saw a classic film here and the whole experience was awesome.

Absolutely beautiful old cinema with preserved charm! The building feels like stepping back in time and rightfully so being heritage listed. They offer a couple of current films and a select few older classics with some sessions offering viewers the experience of hearing the wonderful organ played for 15mims prior to the movie starting. All the staff are volunteers who pride themselves on keeping such an incredible establishment open and alive. Prices are pretty good considering all money goes to keeping this place open. They offer a wide range of snacks for the usual prices. A lovely place to go for those who love older cinemas, or supporting small local pieces of history. Would return!

The tribute to Bridgerton candlelight performance was stunning. We had second row tickets and found the experience a delight for the senses.

A beautiful theatre and seeing a movie (or like last night’s Fever Candlelight Tribute to Fleetwood Mac concert), is like stepping back in time.

Seeing Amicus play with Holly playing the solo concertos last night was incredible. Her musicianship was outstanding and the other players created a perfect foundation for her to play atop. The crowd was entranced and very moved. You could tell how much the players and the audience were enjoying it and we as the audience did too.

This cinema, is one of the great modern cinemas, and easily the best in Adelaide. The Art Deco building with a modern take, the immediate service from the staff, the ease of parking and the comfortable seats make this entire experience effortless and filled with positive vibes.

All of this means you can easily immerse yourself in the experience of the film you’re seeing.

This is yet another 5 star review. I only post 5 star reviews except for 1 public toilet 1 time. Everything else is not worth my time.

This has to be my most favourite cinema in Adelaide. 12 cinemas with a variety of sizes.
Comfortable seating, good wine selection, and their choc tops and popcorn for those who wish to nibble.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Having worked at the Deckchair in Darwin I felt right at home.
I prefer this to EastEnd in the city mainly because of accessibility and parking. They also do the usual Film Festivals. Love it

Love this cinema. The popcorn is delicious, the seats are comfy, the prices are reasonable, everything is fairly clean, the staff are nice, the patrons are usually respectful during the film. And there are so many great places to eat nearby.

Great cosy cinema located in the heart of prospect, offering new release, international release and showing classics across the week and on special movies nights.
Pretty much the only cinema I visit these days.
Coffee was excellent also.

Absolutely one of the best gems in Adelaide.

The theatres, large and small, offer the big screen experience. The chairs are large and loungeroom soft and very comfortable with a small table at the end of the chairs for your drinks.

It was a wonderful atmosphere altogether.

I will be back time and time again as the chairs are worth the visit.

Quiet and good location with cafe and restaurants around. It was a memorable day watching Burmese movie “What happened to the wolf?”

Love the smaller, intimate theatres, and the prices are very reasonable particularly for family passes. The on-site parking does fill up quickly though so make sure you have enough time in case you need to find a park on the street and walk

Such a gorgeous vintage cinema with comfy seats and a chill atmosphere. The architecture is lovely and they do lots of screenings of black-and-white classics as well as cult movies from the last 30 years or so. Parking can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is in the city, but it’s close to lots of restaurants and cafes. A great place to go for a date night!

Fantastic upgrade! The bar/cafe area is a delight. The new Boutique cinemas are perfect. Such comfy seats with foot stool and cushion. (Almost dozed off!) Really upmarket. Great quality food too. Keep in mind Row A is at the back.

An already exceptional cinema experience somehow reaches a new level with the transformation of the ground floor cinemas into boutique destinations. It feels like no expense has been spared to ensure Cinemas 2&3 are in keeping with the art deco nature of the building. Lavish, beautiful, and impossible to stay away from. We are hooked.

Loved this cinema, the seats and lounges are extremely comfortable and art deco look just finished it off.

The theater and sound system are fine, there is ample space between rows of seats, but i welcome the next phase of renovation to install better and/or more comfortable reclining seats.
The candy bar and drinks, dining area are small but offers enough refreshments and light meals to cocktails and non alcoholic beverages.
Great Hot coffee, the bar and food options are good and price reasonable. Food and drinks can be ordered and delivered to your seats if your movie starts. Also good to know the diner & bar is open to customers that are not viewing a movie, also runs events and available for bookings.
Toilets nice and clean.
Accessibility lifts are available.
The Wallis membership price is not yet active at the Piccadilly so was not able to use discounted member price here.

A lovely little theatre that’s been recently renovated. There’s a lovely little bar there, and they can even deliver food to your seat in the cinema(great when you’re only just in time to see the movie ).
The seats unfortunately weren’t so comfy, and rather small.
The staff there were all very nice and friendly, and so helpful too.
The food (wedges) were very nice, it was great to eat hot food and sip on a gin and tonic while watching the movie.

The Piccadilly is a wonderful experience .
I loved how the complete building has been updated to reflect how it looked on its opening day. It was an emotional day for me because too few examples like this still exist .

It’s a great event and great experience. We watch “the notebook”, it’s an old movie but it’s nice story.

The movie ticket is $15/person and booking fee is $5.

It’s located in the middle of Botanical Garden so it’s a bit chilly at night.

Bring your own blankets, pillows, snacks or drinks or you can rent beanbag for $12 each.

You can rent bean bag at $12 and buy blanket at about $15. You can bring your own bean bag/ picnic rug/ blankets as well. It’s very cold so bring 1 blanket each person.

They serve food and drinks but you can bring by your own as well.

The restroom is clean. It’s lovely experience.

First time going, had a really good time, bats flying around before dark. Very cool to see them. Food, drinks, are available. I would recommend bringing something to sit on not just a blanket, the ground can be lumpy, or even better get a beanbag lounge for $10 a person. Was nice and comfortable to lay on. I will come back for sure maybe a few times over the summer. Highly recommended!!!!!!!

It is a great event, we booked the seats with the bean bags, and for that area, you have full waiters service too. I think it is worth it so you don’t have to squeeze in with other people and the seats are nice. The movie picture and sound had great quality. The hot food is only served before the movie and other drinks and chips you can get it at any time. Bring blankets or buy one at the spot for 15 dollars. It gets cold even in the warm nights. Bring your drinks or pay 10 dollars for a beer. Overall, great experience!

Fun to do but the drinks and food are very expensive and the choices are basic. Do yourself a favour and bring lots of yummy food and drinks to enjoy. The beanbags cost $10 to hire so if you spend just $15 more than tge basic ticket, you get a beanbag and service. It is often cold so bring a blanket. Dogs are welcome. Due to the fact that the movie starts late (when the sun has gone down) there are very few children. All in all it is a nice experience.

It was a 38 degree day, but it cooled down soon.

I would recommend taking a mozzie and fly repellants. Dont be fooled by the summer, bring a jacket

It was a great experience. This is located in Arndale. The seats were comfortable. The seats don’t recline although there is enough room to stretch your legs. The screen has good clarity and sound system was clear and loud. It was not jarring. The theatre didn’t have any odour. It Was clean, smelled fresh!

Poor experience. Had to line up to watch a movie that began late. Mid crowd. Poor facilities no drink holder for my XXL Pepsi (max ofc). Went well with the fat peanuts M&Ms we snuck in. It cancelled out. Jokes on them.

Hoyts Arndale… decent enough theatre with good options and facilities. Playing all the latest flicks. Overall a pleasant experience but wouldn’t say it’s up to the highest standard of cinemas to attend in SA. The theatre we were in had great sound and the viewing experience was nice but the chairs are getting a little tired. Popcorn was nice and salty but wish they would pack it a little tighter. Get more bang for your buck.

But can’t complain overall – $15 tickets as a Hoyts member is pretty decent. I would boost it to a 4 star if the offered a self service popcorn and candy bar. Beggars can’t be choosers though eh.

The movie was good except for the guy who was checking tickets around 9.30. If I’m not wrong, his name is Jass. We had some drinks with us and he didn’t allow us in, speaking in a really rude voice. We asked him if we could leave them outside with him and take them back after the movie since we parked the car quite far away and we were running late, but he rejected us, which is fine. Then he said we should just stay outside and finish it???
In the end, we had to walk back to the car, and he was staring at us from the window to make sure we put the drinks away. When my partner asked him what his name was, he replied his name+ “I will keep an eye on you.” Is he threatening my partner? What kind of customer service is that?
This used to be my favourite cinema and we came here very often, but never again after this kind of service. Google only lets me give 1 star, but if I could, I would give 0.

Took my family to see the new Lilo and Stitch movie. The staff were supportive, kind, compassionate and understanding. The cinema was clean, surprisingly because it’s a cinema. The seats were super comfortable, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Staff were extremely unhelpful in regards to the special edition velocor raptor head deal even though we purchased 4 tickets and 4 meal combos. I was told ‘you need Uber one, but I don’t know what else to do”
Well, I have Uber one and yet your own staff have ZERO idea about their own promotions? Absolute joke.

Wonderful small cinema showing alternative films from today and yesterday. Cheap tickets. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Comfy seat. Wine!

It’s not Hoyt’s or Village cinemas… and that’s a good thing… nice atmosphere… not enough of these screens around in Oz anymore

Very low cost community theatre. They show odd- ball old movies. One was a silent film with very loud music. Currently, East German stuff made under severe censorship. Very thought provoking and a relief from the American rubbish we are constantly fed.

We hired it out and used it to play games, great fun, will definitely do it again. The staff were friendly and approachable, and the cocktails were great. Keen to try it out for an actual movie next
