A life dedicated to collecting items that he loved and researched, antique clocks, ceramics, paintings of plants and much more. David had an eye for judging dogs and this is reflected in his collections.

A wonderful Adelaide hidden gem! I've visited three times now, several years apart, and taking interstate visitors with me. Each time, I learn something new from the very informative guides who shepherd each small group through and explain details about the amazing and eclectic collections amassed by David Roche across his lifetime - paintings of dogs and horses, portraiture, militaria, porcelain, furniture, bronzes, marble statues, clocks, bespoke carpets, wallpapers and curtains .. it just goes on and on!

Wasn’t sure what to expect but was truly amazed. A wonderful collection. Every room was filled with stories and treasures. A memorable experience and highly recommended.

We recently visited the museum with our 12-year-old son, and the hour-and-a-half tour flew by thanks to the amazing guide. The tour was packed with fascinating historical information. The museum exhibits many interesting and rare items. We highly recommend visiting!

What a wonderful destination to visit! Arrived for the gallery exhibition, but timing enabled us to also join the house tour. Our guide Naomi was knowledgeable & kept our attention. Beyond amazing collection of treasures. Highly recommended

Totally OTT home and collections of a lifetime by a man who could do and buy what he wanted. And, lucky he did all that, so we could see it too . He's still in charge - in the huge green malachite urn near the entrance! Too much to even begin to list the interesting and expensive pieces on view. Take your time. The exhibition in the "ex dog kennels" at the time was of quilting. Also very interesting.
