I am currently here getting my anti-depressants changed, and I woke up this morning with my head throbbing as it is the second day without my previous anti-depressants. Unfortunately I had my throbbing head during handover and I was told to leave the medication window. For some reason a woman who was ahead of me got seen to during handover and she was whinging because she didn’t have fresh towels for her shower before going to an appointment. I wasn’t given the opportunity to say anything at all. What kind of a hospital is this?!? Edit: after providing my phone number, I have yet to receive a phone call.

Recently had a close associate stay here for 3 weeks. Extremely happy with the service provided. All staff members showed integrity, professionalism and genuine care for the patients. The structure, activities, doctors and facilities were able to make significant improvements in the health of the patients. Highly recommended.

I have sat on this for months, it's time to share my experiences. On a late shift 2 nurses 'looking' after us, I was walking to the nurses station and could hear shouting, it was the male nurse screaming at the 8 month pregnant nurse, cowering in the corner. I distracted him so she could leave. This triggered my ptsd enormously. The next night 2 patients were locked inside after the fire alarm went off because the nurses had not followed procedures. Some days later I was belittled by a night nurse. I informed nursing administration that I was financially embarrassed due to having to seek extra psychological support outside of the hospital. It was agreed they would cover 2 sessions = $500, I was discharged, no payment was sent to me. After chasing them several times I was eventually sent a cheque for$200!! Upon reflection this amount was a complete insult after all that I was subjected to. Unfortunately we only have 1 private psych hospital in SA, I would definitely be going elsewhere if I could. It has to be said that on the whole the nursing staff were supportive and professional

I was a detox patient in the Torrens ward February 2021. I found the nurses and staff very friendly, caring and uplifting. I felt safe and very well cared for. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. They are so flat out busy but always had time for a chat. They listened to my story or worries and then gave me good advice and encouraged me. Also the ladies in charge of the group sessions and relaxation/meditation practices in Group room 1 were happy to accommodate my needs/wishes (gym), followed up when I felt down after a session and spent extra time giving me tips for meditation/relaxation apps & websites available to continue this great practice after discharge. Dr. Kelly is very professional. His advice was concise and helpful. I felt that the treatment process was done very well and that I didn’t have to spend more time in the facility than absolutely necessary with the best possible outcome achieved. I have been going in and out for sometime now and I am actually doing really well due to the admissions. I have found the staff to be caring and understanding. Not every admission has gone with out a flaw. That is to be expected because no two people are the same so therefore no two nurses are the same. I have received good medical treatment and very caring staff. I would have one thing to say on the negative is the smoking area although outside has a blower above the door when people go out and come in. The only job that does is to blow the smoke back inside the hospital. The nurses station and the hallway is always smelling of smoke. A simple solution is to put an extractor fan inside that lounge area which would stop the smoke escaping to other areas of the hospital. It’s not a healthy area to be in when you use a cpap. That is the only gripe I have. The facilities and staff are of a high standard.

I was here 4 I came I as public Medicare customers. Free customer as I couldn't afford it. I don't understand why people diss this place. The treatment the food the activities plus daily therapy. Not sure where the problem is

Currently undergoing TMS (outpatient) and would rate my experience quite highly. Everyone has been supportive, friendly and welcoming. Everything organised and running on time.
