Oh Kim's Hair Salon

I went in today to get my hair trimmed and also to get long layers. The lady was very nice and made sure from the beginning that we were on the same page about the style that I was going for. I am super happy with the results and will definitely come back again . (Sorry for the bad quality photos )

I was planning to get a perm today because my hair is very thin, fine, and short. But the lady boss kindly suggested that I wait and let it grow longer first. Instead, Jordan thoughtfully gave me a stylish haircut that suited me unexpectedly well. I’m really thankful for their professionalism and care!

I came in wanting a fresh, layered look — something with movement, softness, and a natural flow — and Naomi absolutely nailed it. The layers she created are so beautifully blended — they add volume without feeling heavy, and they fall so effortlessly whether I wear my hair straight, wavy, or tied back. It’s the kind of haircut that looks even better the more you move, and it’s incredibly easy to style at home, which is such a bonus. Could not recommend her more!

I recently visited this salon for a blow dry with curls, expecting a professional and satisfying experience. Unfortunately, the service fell far below expectations. Despite paying $60, the stylist seemed inexperienced with curly hair techniques. The curls lacked definition and didn't hold their shape, leaving my hair looking frizzy and unkempt. Considering the price point, I anticipated a higher level of expertise and care. This experience was not only disappointing but also felt like a waste of money. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and invests in better training for their staff to handle diverse hair types effectively. Would never recommend going here for any of the hair services.

I got a haircut and slight trim of my fringe… all for $50! As a student, this place is so worth it and within my usual budget (most places near me are either $65-$75). The young man who cut my hair was super sweet during the whole process. He consulted with me about the style and length all throughout the process. The lady at the end gave me good advice on how to take care of my naturally wavy hair. As a bonus, this place is really beginner-friendly for those of us who are studying Korean (they complimented me as I tried to speak with them in their native language ). I’m DEFINITELY coming here again for my regular maintenance.

This is my second visit today. About 3months ago, I came in for a cut and perm, which still looks amazing, but I decided to pop in for a quick trim to freshen it up. Sejung(probably En name is Rola), this stylist is an absolute gem, her skills and talent deserve so much more recognition. Having been to several salons in Korea, where the standards are insanely high, I can confidently say she’s one of the best I’ve ever come across When I got my perm, she only glanced at the reference photos twice, which made me a bit nervous at first. But somehow, with just those two looks, she nailed it!! Even better than the photos! My hair was tricky to work with, especially because I had a wolf cut before, with layers that were all over the place. But she handled it like a total pro. If you’re into a similar style, do yourself a favour and book with her!! You won’t regret it. I’m moving away from this area soon, but honestly, if there’s one thing I could take with me, it’s Rola! Wishing all the best for her future!! she truly deserves it

Happy with the haircut, friendly and skilled staff and good price too. After the disaster of my previous haircut elsewhere, which was like an uninvited experiment gone wrong, the young woman at Oh Kim's Hair Salon managed to undo the damage and give me a haircut I was happy with.
