We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Glen Ewin Estate’s Steak and Shiraz night, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, perfectly paired with beautiful Shiraz, and the atmosphere made the evening feel extra special. I had the pleasure of filming Lauren & Brandon’s wedding at Glen Ewin Estate in May 2025, and it was my first time working in the Gatehouse. What an incredible space! Intimate, warm, and surrounded by those lush, signature Glen Ewin views — it created the perfect atmosphere for such an emotional and joy-filled day.

I’ve always adored Glen Ewin Estate—from the stunning grounds (tucked away so close to metro Adelaide), to the mouth-watering food, consistently top-tier service, and of course… their famous fig gin!

But over the weekend, I had the absolute joy of fulfilling a long-time dream: being a celebrant at this world-class venue. I had the honour of standing before two beautiful people as they became husband and wife, and the entire experience was nothing short of magical.

In the lead-up, the staff were informative, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the day special. On the day itself, I was blown away by Carey, who was overseeing the wedding—she went above and beyond for everyone involved. She’s an absolute gem and so clearly in the right role.

Glen Ewin you are simply perfect—rain, hail or shine. Whilst the ceremony was on the deck, it still looked like something out of a fairytale. Thank you to the entire Glen Ewin team for working so seamlessly with all of us vendors to ensure our couple had the best day of their lives.

Super amazing experience. Venue is just incredible. Some really great history.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food, the flavors and the wine list.. we were very impressed.

The menu was very hard to choose from as everything sounded delicious. We ended up with 12 dishes.

Everything had so much flavour. Nearly a little too much in some cases and needed d as one bread or rice to cleanse the palette.

We enjoyed our lunch and will be back again soon.

We recently had lunch at Bridgewater Mill for my youngest son’s birthday. My other son has multiple severe allergies and the Chefs were fantastic at adapting his meals where necessary to suit his requirements. We had the feed me menu and honestly had so much food we couldn’t eat it all (I haven’t included photos of all dishes as I was too excited to eat and forgot to take a couple). The food was just delicious and the venue is stunning. We sat outside on a lovely autumn day and took In the stunning scenery. The service was fantastic and we couldn’t fault the wait staff. We did the 4 course Chef Selection. The food was very tasty and well presented. To be honest, presentation was better than the taste, but the uniqueness of flavours made up for it. Overall, very filling and happy.
Also recommend the 98 Degrees sunrise gin (distilled in Adelaide), and have a wander around the surroundings before hand.

I was attracted by the friendliness of the staff when I first stepped into the restaurant. The decoration of the place is unique and cosy. It is a wonderful place to dine and its suitable for family and friends and in any occasions. There are plenty of tables inside and outside the restaurant. Love the indoor ambience as well as the outdoor setting. Food is awesome! Love the pork belly, the duck tori as well as the kimchi salad. Met with the Chief Eating Officer (CEO), Greg Hobby, no words can describe how hospitality he is with his guests. Definitely return with friends and highly recommend this place.

We had a great experience here. Lovely rooms and the staff were all very polite, cleaning ladies were wonderful. I think the only “negative” thing I have is the rooms didn’t have an extra lock, so for me having anxiety and being an overthinker, only relying on the key card lock was a bit worrying. If that’s not something your worried abou, then this place is for you!

Stayed in queen room. Bed was comfy . Pillows are very soft ,no supprt. Did notice bottled water was from a coles home brand which i thought was a little tacky.
Went to iron shirt but iron was not clean and white grainy stains came out of iron .
We were out all Saturday and when we returned a foul drain smell throughout the building .
Other than that was suitable for our stay.

Booked the Éxecutive Suite’ through Booking.com. This was 1 room with a double and 3 single beds. This is a family room, not an executive room and there were 5 adults in our party. It was not made obvious that the beds were in the same room, otherwise I would not have booked it. When I looked on the Sfera website there was no room with this name. 3 of our party booked a rooms elsewhere. There were no opening windows and the air conditioner was extremely noisy and above the bed. Although the bathroom was huge there was 1 tiny shelf. Everything was clean and tidy but we stayed on a public holiday and there were no staff on site.

Fantastic hotel with super clean rooms and nice spa baths. Had a room overlooking the park which was beautiful. The bed’s were very comfy, and good selection in the minibar. What a beautifully intimate venue to watch a show in.
I’m not sure how many people would actually be able to be seated in here (100?), But that is what ads to the charm and the intimacy of this venue. You can almost feel as if you are a part of the show.
Being a smaller venue means that you will have no problem hearing the performance whether it is spoken word or singing, although in saying that, it is mic’d up to enhance the performance.
There is a bar (adjacent to the performance area) which has a great selection of beer and cider both on and off tap as well as a very fine selection of spirits.
I’m lead to believe that food is available, but there wasn’t on the day I went to the performance (Sunday) on account that they aren’t usually open on Sundays.
The staff were also really nice.
I look forward to the next time I get to see a performance there.

Our journey from booking to wedding wasn’t the smoothest due to renovations of the space we booked, but Sunnybrae went above and beyond to make sure we were still happy with our spaces. Our venue coordinator Emma was worth her weight in gold, especially when she brought out canapés during photos to ensure the bridal party ate! She was a dream to work with and I can’t thank her enough. The venue itself is stunning and all of our guests complimented how beautiful it was. We had a fantastic night for our Winter Gala in Henry’s Table at Ayer’s House. The Event Manager, Ria, was so lovely and very supportive in the planning and execution of our event. The venue had so much character and charm, and the outdoor space was ideal for mingling, music, and drinks under the sun.

Everything ran smoothly on the day and the team was easy to work with in the lead-up, making the whole experience stress-free. All my guests commented on how stunning the location was—it’s such a hidden gem in Glenelg.

Loved, loved, loved our wedding venue, Partridge House. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or better staff that worked with us right through all our planning for the big day. Last minute changes due to bad weather were seamless and our ceremony and reception were perfect. All our guests rave about the great time they had and how perfect the venue was. The deco was great, and the room looked amazing, with the beautiful lights and flower decoration.

Samantha and the team made our 14th Anniversary unique, and everyone was admiring the glamorous decoration.

All our guest liked the food, and everyone was talking about the tastes and the meal. All the dishes were incomparable.

Our June wedding at Al Ru Farm was nothing short of spectacular! Despite a gloomy forecast, the rain held off just long enough for our beautiful ceremony in the garden by the pond. The reception area was absolutely stunning, and guests loved the canapés by the rustic fireplace near the barn. The food, service, and staff were amazing, going above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. It’s truly a venue you have to see to believe – the photos attached capture its magic perfectly. I had my wedding here last week and it was everything I had imagined and more. Over the past 12 months of corresponding with the staff at the venue, they were all exceptional with their response times. So helpful with any questions and welcoming with any visits I requested.
They asked what my vision was, not only did they listen but they definitely delivered!
Al Ru farm is definitely the ideal wedding venue. The gardens/ceremony areas are very beautifully maintained and the barn is absolutely stunning for a wedding reception. The catering staff were very friendly and checking in often.
We will be back for our future anniversary visits.

My sister got married here last friday and
from the minute we drove down the driveway on arrival I was in absolute awe at the beauty of the place! As her maid of honor I arrived early to get ready with her in the garden pavilion which had breath taking views of the outside gardens. It had such a comfy, warm, cottage like feel to it.
The ceremony area was just stunning with the pond amongst the blooming gardens.
The reception area in the barn was stunning with the antique mirrors and the chandeliers. The rustic fireplace just outside gave off so much warmth on the chilly night.
As for the food and waiting staff it was all amazing! I would 100% recommend this gorgeous venue to anyone looking for a wedding venue! I even asked my hubby if we could get re-married and have our wedding here!

Al Ru Farm in One Tree Hill, is a fantastic venue for wedding photography. It’s got everything – beautiful gardens, a rustic barn, a charming farmhouse, and stunning natural surroundings.

The incredibly well curated and maintained gardens offer up perfect spots for photos, no matter the time or season. Ruth and her team of gardeners are top notch. The sunlight here is magical, especially during the afternoon and at sunset, making for some truly memorable shots.

The staff are professional and helpful, which makes my job easier and more enjoyable. Al Ru Farm is a top-notch venue, and I always look forward to working here. Five stars from me!

Went to a wedding Friday afternoon,absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding.I stayed the night in one of the qaint cottages( garden pavillion) with my grandkids while the wedding couple enjoyed a kid free sleep in, the gardens were just stunning. Larry is amazing!
I was probably his most stressed out bride to deal with! He had so much patience for me. Very very accommodating. He would have bent over backwards if I had asked. I do not have one negative thing to say about my wedding ceremony and reception held at this venue. The package He gave us was absolutely amazing, included the DJ, smoke, indoor fireworks, meals, dance floor, table settings and decor etc. He did so much so that I could do less. I visited a few other venues before finding Larry and everywhere else wanted a huge amount of money just to be at the venue not including anything! If you want an amazing wedding or any function for that matter, please contact Larry! You will not be disappointed. I will recommend this venue to EVERYONE!
