I would recommend this organisation to anyone going through any mental health issues as i had an extremely positive outcome after only a few one hour sessions and found every member of staff eager to help in any possible way. My housemate urged me to thank my doctor saying my attitude and manners improved greatly after the weekly appointments.

They said that they’d taken time to match me with an appropriate psychologist but I soon realised that it was just whoever was free. I’m almost 30 and not autistic. They paired me with someone that specialises with autistic children. The room stank as it was used for children. As an adult I didn’t really want to be doing psychology appointments in a room full of children’s toys, mess and bad smells. We changed rooms but this took 20 minutes that I would not get back and still had to pay for. She spent a lot of the session asking questions that I could’ve filled out in a form before coming to the appointment. She ignored me when I said I didn’t want to talk about certain subjects even when she had just said previously that I can choose to not talk about anything that I don’t want to. When I was visibly uncomfortable she made an unfunny joke about calling the police. I could also outwardly tell that she found me annoying. She told me that I need to get diagnosed for autism in the first session. I found this intense and confronting, especially when this is not what I went there for. I wanted to cry quite a bit for a few days after this. It cost me ~$90 out of pocket. I don’t completely blame her, a friend said that the conditions at psych med are very horrible to work at. I would not recommend psych med.

I’ve been going to Better Self Psychology for over a year now. My psychologist was amazing but the practice’s cancellation policy is not fair. Im unwell with covid and needed to reschedule my appointment – called before the 24 hr cancellation period and nobody answered. Called again a few hours later again no answer so left a message. By the time they called back they told me I’d be charged a fee for not letting them know within the 24 hour policy despite me explaining I’m unwell and despite the fact I was rescheduling and not cancelling. I won’t be back unfortunately, as I think this is really unfair. Quite a shame as my psych was brilliant ☹️

Deciding to seek help was very nerve wracking for me. I had been contemplating about this for a while and finally decided to take the leap. I was positively blown away at how safe I felt working with Will.

If you were on the same boat as me and is contemplating if you should or shouldn’t, I highly recommend visiting him and seeing for yourself!

Will has a unique approach to talk therapy that I have found to be extremely helpful. Will’s approach as a therapist was no doubt perfect for me. At the core, he’s a genuine, down-to-earth person which allows him to take great care in providing the right balance of space and gently encouragement to challenging my own thoughts without shaming or demeaning them. Because of this, it made me more ready to confront things I otherwise wouldn’t have without his guidance. 100% would recommend.

Attending the Sehat Psychology has been an amazing experience. Dr. Reza was very patient and understanding. I am very grateful for the guidance. If I did not understand what he was explaining to me, he would give me analogies. These analogies helped me understand and comprehend the importance of the treatments. The service was pleasant and very respectful. Throughout the process, Dr. Reza was very professional; however, it never felt like I was talking to a stranger but rather a brother. I didn’t realise how much I was improving over time; by the end of the treatment, the quality of my day-to-day life improved immensely. I want to thank Dr. Reza and Sehat Psychology for their ongoing support and guidance.
I wholeheartedly suggest Dr. Reza if you’re looking for a psychologist who genuinely understands PTSD and provides kind, efficient treatment. Their wonderful care has greatly impacted my life, for which I will always be thankful.

Had been seeing Rachel for a while. The last session I had with her was awful. I walked out and burst out crying..Not the outcome you should have after seeing someone that’s meant to help. She pretty much got up and dismissed me out of her room. I asked when I should book to see her again and she dismissed me rudely twice. Then I get a message my next appointment has been cancelled by her. Don’t bother wasting your time with this psychologist . I saw a great psychologist there at blue sky before and she was awesome but then moved to sterling. They are a great group of people and talented psychologists. Just don’t book in with Rachel

I was looking for a trauma therapist, so I did my research and found this place on the internet. I was very impressed with the personal communication from the phycologist who called me back after I forwarded my details and what I precisely wanted on to their answering service.

I am only 2 sessions in and I’m already comfortable as I wanted someone with life experience and a male (my preference) I certainly found this in Brian. I know my journey will be long, and painful as there are no quick fixes as I have to help myself.

The psychologists at this practice are fantastic, and I had no issue continuing my sessions with them. However, I ultimately stopped going due to poor management and the unprofessional attitude of the front desk staff. My main issues were with how appointments were handled. For example, I received a text at 5 p.m. the night before, offering me an earlier spot for the next day. When I showed up for that time, I was told it had already been taken, and I couldn’t adjust my schedule without incurring a fee—even though I had already changed my plans to accommodate the change. There were also instances where I didn’t receive appointment reminders for bookings made months in advance. When I tried to postpone, the front desk refused unless I paid a fee. It’s clear that booking management here is seriously flawed, and I’m not alone in having had these frustrating experiences.

I was a patient about two years ago and only after going to a psychologist that im truly happy with do I realise how low quality this clinic was for me. Firstly, the front desk people and the psychologist I saw were nice people, l just felt they lacked professionalism. After each session my psychologist would ask me to rate the session (in front of her) which was a bit confronting because I felt I couldn’t be truthful if I felt it wasn’t a productive session. She also would divert the conversation to what she thought was relevant, not letting me talk about what I wanted to which felt very invalidating and wasteful. Especially since the things she would try to help me with were things I already knew how to do and manage, which is why I tried to change the subject most times. Furthermore, when I decided I wanted to look elsewhere for a psychologist/clinic I told the front desk people who then told her before my last session. So when I went in, the first thing she asked was why I wanted to stop seeing her (in a what felt like a confronting tone to me), which made the rest of the 50 min session extremely awkward. I felt that was very unprofessional from both the front desk staff and the psychologist. Overall it was a confronting environment that I honestly dreaded, and I didn’t realise that’s not what therapy should feel like because that was my first experience with it. They may have improved since I’ve been there, hopefully, but I had a bad experience and thought I’d want to know if I were looking for a psychologist, especially as a first timer.
