Went with bums on seats for a tour of the Barossa valley winery’s. This is was a day to remember, Perry our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. For a discounted price you would not believe what was included! 4 wine tastings and even lunch. I will absolutely be booking through them again.

What a great day! We booked the Barossa Valley wine tour. We visited four wineries, a bakery, and had lunch at one of the wineries. Our guide, Goeff, was excellent. He gave great commentary and kept us on schedule. Four of us had to make a departing cruise so his time management was greatly appreciated! The company was great, the wines tasty, and the experience was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We had the most incredible day with Geoff on our full day tour of the Barossa Valley! We visited stunning wineries, had a beautiful lunch at the Monkey Nut cafe and met some amazing people along the way. The day ran so smoothly, we tasted so many incredible wines from the Barossa valley and made memories to last a lifetime. Special shout out to Geoff who made sure we had the best day possible by making sure everyone was comfortable and by providing detailed descriptions of all of the places we visited today.

Took the Barossa & Hahndorf Food and Wine Tour on a Saturday and it was a nice little getaway into the winery area of South Australia. Peter the driver guide is funny and freindly and knowledgable. The tour took us to two different wineries for wine tasting which was a great expereince. Food was good (Lunch included). Our last stop was at the fairy tale like town of Hahndorf. Though we had more than an hour it was just enough .to scroll through the main street and did some quick shopping.
Very recommended for people who want to taste wine but not driving. For those who do not drink they’d have the privilege to visit the town nearby.

Great guide. Knowledgeable and informative.
Presenters at wineries were knowledgeable made it interesting and were likeable with no hard sell.
Size of group was good. And because smaller group easier to interact with others.
A great thing Russell did was to ask people where they were from as they got on the bus. A fantastic icebreaker.

Fantastic day. Easy to book, pick up was dead easy.
The day was a great mix of knowledge about wine, experience of three great wineries but also a chance to find out more of the Barossa valley history. Started at Kies with some incredible wines (and a Port style wine to die for!) Lunch at Turkey flats was a great way of soaking up the excellent wine. Final visit to Rosenvale for more excellent wines. Best thing was having someone else to drive!
A wonderful day out with Russell, who claims to be Susan on his bad days.

What a great tour. Even though I lived in SA for most of my life, my guide Katina showed me buildings that I didn’t even know were in Adelaide.

We contacted Katina and asked if she could run a special Icons of Adelaide tour for us as we only had a Saturday available and she doesn’t usually run them on Saturdays. I visited the beautiful city of Adelaide in May, early fall, as all the leaves were turning colors. It really is the City of Festivals and Arts. The month long History Festival, and the 10 day Taste of Australia Event were both happening at the time of my visit.

I wanted the perspective of a local guide so I found a well reviewed (and woman led) company called Flamboyance Tours.

The F Factor: This 1st tour was a short visit to the shopping district to taste the famous Haigh’s chocolates and we were introduced to the early ornate shopping arcades still gracing this city. We then went on to a substantial tour of the delicious goodies at the bustling local Central Market which was full of local produce. Andrea, our guide did a very good job on the histories of the local merchants and she also introduced us to many delicacies!

Iconic Adelaide Tour: The 2nd tour was led by the owner Katina, who has a journalism background and has trained in Europe on tour guiding. She was super knowledgeable and was able to provide deep details when asked. The tour starts with some of the earliest structures in Adelaide, namely the Mounted Police barracks and Armoury established in 1838. What mostly amazed me was how many women were prominent in governing, social services and academic roles in Adelaide. Their statues are all along North Terrace and are there as proof. I LIKE this city ! A most welcoming place for ALL….

Enjoyed the cruise & commentary. We booked 10am & that worked well with then fitting in other things for the day. Booking was easy & instructions worked well. I enjoyed the old photos. Getting off at the zoo worked well as we walked back through the Botanical Park & Gardens. Adelaide put on a beautiful day too. Thank-you! Captain following swans was a hit too as l we come up from Melbourne to see swans!

Fantastic experience not only for my grandchildren but also for the adults aboard the river cruise. The “Captain” was terrific – absolutely across the history and current news of the area. I learnt so much about my own “backyard” as did the children. The crew were extremely personable yet professional, funny and entertaining. The Captain kept all aboard totally engaged throughout the 45 minute tour. My seven year old grandson wanted to join the following cruise to go again! We will definitely be buying vouchers as gifts for friends and family. A classic example of forgetting what we have in our own backyard. It made me proud to be a South Australian! Congratulations on a premium tourism experience (I used to be an Australian Tourism Awards judge in a past life so I can say that!). Have to give the nearby Home Ground cafe/restaurant a big shout out too for great coffee and al fresco lunch after the cruise. Thank you for making the day such a memorable experience for my grandchildren and me!

The cruise was an all-round pleasant experience with a terrific crew in James & Flynn who were friendly, efficient & helpful. James’ commentary was wonderfully informative and delivered in a natural style as though he was telling a story which mattered to him and not just reciting a script. We had a thoroughly enjoyable morning while learning a lot about Adelaide & the Torrens River. The scones, jam & cream of the Devonshire Tea made the whole experience even more worthwhile. Thoroughly recommended!!

Booked a Popeye River cruise through GetYourGuide and was not disappointed. Although the cruise is brief with 40 ish minutes ($26 pp) we enjoyed it a lot. It provides a good insight for people who haven’t seen anything of Adelaide yet. The boat was really cute and the 2 man crew was very lovely. I believe we had captain Sam and helping hand Flynn in charge of us. We loved the commentary and the jokes from the captain.
There is a bar on board to purchase snacks and drinks from.
We had absolutely stunning weather for our cruise.
People did not have to have pre purchased tickets; it is also possible to purchase tickets on site where the boat docks at Elder Park.
Many thanks for the lovely tour ️

️Great place for when the weather isn’t good.

I visited the free exhibitions and was really impressed. I loved the part of aboriginal history, as you can learn a lot through different media’s. Maps, videos, auto, games and of course the classic showcase.

The staff were great as well, helpful, efficient and friendly.

I liked the atmosphere, it was quiet and peaceful. It wasn’t full so it was nice to just take your time with the exhibition.

There are plenty of car parks very close to it or you just take the public transport which is also great!

In the museum there is also a cafe, which was full and very popular.

If you are interested in more specific exhibitions then they offer paid admission as well. 25$ to see (currently) the history of the Vikings. I think that’s a pretty fair price.

All in all great way to spend a few hours.

The museum has a massive taxidermy collection which is absolutely gorgeous. Apart from artifacts from island countries surrounding the Pacific, the Antarctic gallery is my favorite where I got to appreciate Shackleton’s remarkable adventure through pictures, journals, and equipments along with scientific findings throughout the expedition.

The Treasures of the Viking Age is wonderful even though a few exhibits are replica due to preservation reasons. But I love the narration of the exciting archeological discovery consisting of artifacts, videos, and LEGO sets. The unveiling of secrets through traces and analysis is fascinating and I learned so much in this journey!

Travelled with Geoff and it was a good experience. The food recommendations were also good. However just one suggestion for the tour company is that maybe we can do lesser wine tasting and more scenic tours in the Barossa Valley because it was such a shame driving past those beautiful vineyards without stopping for some photos! By the third tasting I already had too much wine. Geoff was awesome though.

I gave this a 4 star rating due to the company not sticking to what we were advised over the phone not the tour driver. I contacted them through the brochure at our hotel room which stated a different price ($169 pp) to what we actually paid ($220) Although we enjoyed having another couple on our tour we were also told over the phone that this would be a private tour (just the two of us hence the higher price) and it wasn’t a high was a little disappointing.

Absolutely loved the Radalaide Walking Hidden Bar Tour – a definite 5-star experience! Ryan was an incredible guide, full of knowledge, charm, and a great sense of humour. He introduced us to some of the most quaint and classy hidden bars tucked away in Adelaide – places we’d never have found on our own. It was a perfect mix of good drinks, great company, and fascinating stories about Adelaide’s rich bar scene and history.

Along the way, we also got to admire some beautiful and incredibly talented street art that we’d normally walk straight past in our everyday busy lives. It was such a refreshing reminder to slow down and actually take in the creativity around us. I know I’ll personally be paying much more attention to it now and giving it the appreciation it deserves.

What made the night even more special was meeting a bunch of interesting people and sharing this unique experience together. I won’t spoil it by naming the bars – that’s part of the magic. Just take the time to join Ryan on this adventure. You might even learn a little secret about him… or realize you know him!

Highly, highly recommended. Do yourself a favour and book this tour – you won’t regret it!

We had a great day on our private wine tour with Bus and Barrel. The team planned the itinerary, making the whole process very easy from the start.
Rob was the best driver – from the moment he picked us up he was friendly, professional and had us laughing all day.
The wineries chosen were all 10/10 picks and the lunch was lovely.
Thank you so much!

Fantastic day organised by Bus and Barrel to help celebrate a special birthday. Our driver Rob was fantastic. Wineries all small intimate affairs with one on one tasting experiences. All in all a really enjoyable day. Would highly recommend.

Rob from Bus & Barrel took my friends and I on an exceptional tour of the Barossa Valley. Rob was friendly, fun, engaging, informative and accommodating. He tolerated our ridiculous conversations, had some excellent insights, made sure we got the best photos and went out of his way to make adjustments to our day which made for the best day out. In addition the team at Bus and Barrel were very accommodating when we had to modify our booking prior to our arrival. I would whole heartedly recommend them, and if you get the chance, ask for Rob.

On Saturday, we had the pleasure of having Andrew guide us through a perfectly curated tour of Adelaide Hills. As soon as Andrew greeted us by his luxury black Mercedes van we knew we were in for a treat. Andrew was very knowledgeable of the region and was super fun. He made sure we were well watered in between wineries and provided us with tips for each experience. As we did not know Adelaide, he provided us with restaurant recommendations (which were also delicious) and a trip to Henley Beach for our Sunday (which was also amazing). Thank you Andrew!!!

Andrew from Bus and Barrel was our Chauffeur two days on the recent Liv Golf weekend. Andrew was prompt and a safe driver and explained so much of the history of the Barossa Valley people and wineries on the way there. We visited Torbreck, Rockford and Hentley Farm for brilliant wine tastings. A Degustation 3.5 hour lunch at Hentley Farm was a highlight. Andrew drove us to Liv golf on Sunday and picked us up after following a brilliant day given to us from Luxe Golf group. We recommend Andrew as an impressive driver and wonderful person representing Bus & Barrel.
Andrew was immaculately dressed and the car was very clean and comfortable.

The environment here is beautiful, it’s very easy to make friends because the common area is quite small but comfortable at the same time so it’s literally impossible not to have nice interaction with other people. I read some reviews about the management not been good enough but that’s bullshit, they do their best but the reality is the some people are just disrespectful and they don’t clean their dishes, and they complain because they get fined…
Also they just renewed the entire hostel and it’s brand new, so good stuff!

I had an absolutely amazing time at Tequila Sunrise Hostel! This was my very first hostel experience, as I usually book through Airbnb, and I can honestly say it exceeded all my expectations.

I stayed for 10 nights and it was such a great choice. One of the best things is how much money you can save here — both breakfast and dinner are included for free, which is such a huge bonus. The meals were always fresh and really convenient, especially for a longer stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their accommodating nature really made me feel at home. The atmosphere of the hostel itself was warm and social, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I would definitely go back again without hesitation. Tequila Sunrise Hostel made my first hostel stay a truly memorable one, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

You can find the best vibes and people here. It’s the cheapest hostel you can find and they even include dinner and breakfast in the price. Beds are really private with light, plug in and fan inside the box. The staff here is just amazing, alexia is multi-task and always smiling. Love her energy, love them! I’ll come back for sure

Was a nice hostel (on the pricier side for a hostel but not too expensive). Free breakfast and dinner is included (I utilised the breakfast but not the dinner). The rooms are mixed but because of the ‘pod’ style, it was very private. The only issue with the beds was that if the opening is at the end, it can be inconvenient getting stuff from the shelves as you have to get to the other side. Was provided a blanket which meant I was chilly in the morning (but I didn’t ask reception for any more layers so not blaming them here)

I’ve stayed at Tequila Sunrise Hostel a few times, but unfortunately the quality has gone down with every visit.
• It’s very noisy at night: people talk and make noise in the corridors until very late, and some guests wake up extremely early without considering others.
• Bathrooms are often not clean, and showers are sometimes broken or in poor condition.
• The kitchen is inconvenient: it closes early in the evening, and when it’s open it’s so small you can’t really use it properly. I’ve also noticed food sometimes goes missing from the lockers.
• Meals provided are very basic, usually the same thing every day.
• The overall atmosphere is not very safe or comfortable compared to other hostels.
• Prices can also be very inconsistent. For example, I once paid $350 for a week in a room with over 20 beds, which feels unreasonable for the conditions offered.

If you’re looking for a better option in Adelaide, I’d recommend other hostels like Base Camp or YHA. For example, Base Camp offers cleaner facilities and more peace of mind, and through Google (redirecting to Agoda) you can often find deals around $180 per week.

I stayed at the Tequila Sunrise Hostel and overall, it was a positive experience. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Adelaide CBD, just a short walk from the Central Market and Hindley Street, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, perfect for socializing with other travelers. The facilities are clean and functional: the rooms are secure and comfortable, the shared kitchen is well-equipped, and the free Wi-Fi works well. The complimentary breakfast with pancakes, fruit, and hot drinks is a nice bonus.
One aspect I especially want to highlight is the staff: the people working here do a really great job. They are helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything, from city tips to helping with parcels or other small requests. Managing a busy hostel is not always easy, but it’s clear they put in effort and dedication

Unfortunately, this hostel keeps getting worse and worse.
In the morning it’s common to find dirty dishes left everywhere by some of the French guests, and the staff never says anything. Cleanliness in general is very poor: the kitchen is usually messy and dirty, and if you want to cook you’ll have to wait until at least ten other people finish before you can even start.

The new manager has only made things worse. Once she even threw away some guests’ alcohol without asking for permission absolutely shameful

The atmosphere is unbearable. At dinner time there are not enough seats, so sometimes you can’t even sit down. If you arrive a bit later, you risk not finding any food left. Breakfast is only served for one hour, and exactly at 8:30 they remove everything, without caring at all if you came just a few minutes late.

The rooms are also poorly organized: in some of them there are drawers that you can’t even open. On top of that, the prices are completely inconsistent and change whenever they want. Sometimes a double bed ends up being cheaper than a single one which makes no sense and feels like a scam.

In short: dirty, badly managed, inconsistent prices, and ridiculous rules. My experience here was extremely disappointing, and I would strongly recommend choosing another hostel for example, YHA, which is way better managed and offers a much cleaner and more comfortable environment.

And I’ll share a tip: at YHA, if you ask at reception for a 3-bed room, the price can be as low as around $160 per week per person much better value for money compared to this place.

Amazing, worked here when it was the resort and discovery has made it a truly amazing place. Can’t wait to come back, fantastic for kids also. Rooms are super clean but was a bit bummed we couldn’t fish as the kids were so hyped to just sit on the dock and cast a line.

Amazing place.

Great room, has heating for winter and air con for summer, which is great. It’s quite a large park, clean and lots to do for the kids, and big kids.
The only thing I would be picky about is there needs to be more than 1 chair in the room we were in as well as a bedside table. But everything else was great. Very handy location with beautiful Hahndorf close by.

My partner, our son and myself just stayed for the weekend and fell in love with the park. We were given a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom unit and it was wonderful. The room was clean and cosy. The heaters were even turned on for our arrival which was very welcomed as it was a chilly evening. There was plenty of coffee/tea/hot chocolate/sugar. We had a little wander around the park and thought the camp kitchen was the best one we’ve ever seen! Loved the ponds and the ducks and rabbits wandering around. We will definitely be back!

We stayed 4 nights in a powered site. The admin staff were really good, going the extra mile to extend our stay. Such good service!
The whole park is so neat and clean. There are so many maintenance crews keeping everything pristine. The management team should be congratulated on a job well done.
I definitely recommend staying at this park.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️||Our camping experience at Hahndorf Discovery Park has been absolutely outstanding! The amenities, staff, and overall presentation are all top notch. We originally booked for 4 nights but ended up extending our stay because we loved it so much.||The park has been the perfect base for our day trips to Adelaide, Victor Harbor, the Barossa, and of course, exploring the beautiful town of Hahndorf itself.||We’re now heading to the Yorke Peninsula, but I have a feeling this stay at Discovery Parks will be hard to beat. I 100% recommend staying here!
