Called Best Movers ADE for an emergency move on a Sunday afternoon. The team arrived right on time and did a fantastic job! Professional, efficient, and very helpful throughout the entire process. Highly recommend them for any last-minute or planned moves!

Decent move with furniture and belongings, nothing was damaged or broken in the process. Staff were friendly overall.

Only major concerns were with punctuality, payment, and promotion of business.

Booked movers for 10am, reached out to management after 15 minutes asking where they were and said coming soon. Team didn’t actually arrive to the property until 11:30am. I even mentioned they were late and crew member shrugged it off and continued with the job.

Concerns with payment were that intial fee was agreed upon in writing, up front upon booking. Said charges $100 per hour, with a $50 call out fee. We took our $300 cash for a 2.5 hour job and advised management of this, and he confirmed this was okay. When the job was almost complete, team forced me to show a screenshot of the message saying exactly this, and said his manager needs another $60, in which I refused not only for the fact that they came late, but I also timed the entire move, and it took exactly 2.5 hours on the dot.

Finally, pressured into submitting a google review in person, saying to help promote the business and if I do this, I’ll get more discount next time? Even though I didn’t get any discount today.
Has not even been 5 minutes since team left the property and have already received a text saying “put the google review up please for us”.

Overcharged, payment dispute, slow.

I’ve moved a few times so know the process and expectations.

Enquired on a quote. Quoted up to maximum of 4 hours at $140hr (knew it would be faster) , they then charge a call out fee on top of this. changed the pick up time day before from 10-2 to 7-9 then rocked up at 9.

2 guys arrived and it may as well have been their first day on the job. Slow; taking calls, picking up one cushion at a time: took them 3 hours to load the truck with no disassemble required (incredibly slow).
Told me they were going to have a I disassemble my table because it wouldn’t fit out my door, so I picked it up and carried it out the doorway myself… no disassemble required. Didn’t fit everything even know there was amble space.

Then took an hour lunch before arriving at the new house. Upon nearly finishing (boxes left) I asked them to move a few things from garage to in the house (like kitchen table) this was the 4.15hr mark and also quizzed if they could speed up, they then said they would be abother 20mins and presented a price for 7 hours.

They tried to tell me they arrived much earlier and took a small lunch break 20mins then advised that they charge in increments.

I obviously argued this was incorrect. They stopped working and wouldn’t unload my final boxes or move my stuff from garage into house until I paid. after 30minutes being on the phone to their customer care arguing I threatened to call police so they unloaded my stuff and just left. Then the customer care continued calling demanding payment. They eventually agreed to the 4.5hrs.

So end result it was slow and I had to move heavy furniture and boxes into my home at the end. Not happy

The guys were very professional and hard working carrying furniture up the stairs and were careful not to mark the walls or ruin the furniture. The only down-fall was that they questioned if I told the receptionist what furniture was being taken up the stairs. I asked for someone who could take apart a 2-seat recliner and they said they didn’t know anything about it. They looked annoyed about the heavy furniture, even though I already mentioned this when booking. Overall, the guys were very efficient and friendly.

I found the administration people very courteous and respectful, they assured me of the correct pickups and drop offs as there were two of each, although the workers did their job well, unfortunately they got the last two drop offs around the wrong way which complicated the last instruction to ask my husband to ring to see if all was well, followed by payment.

Excellent from start to finish! We only needed an easy move (a couple of sofas, washer, dryer, fridge, beds) and it was an easy, pleasant experience. Would definitely use again and recommend!

The movers were completely unsatisfactory due to many reasons.
As they were paid by the hour they moved at a VERY slow pace and took longer than required to move, eg moving a single chair one at a time where as I – a female could and did move 3 chairs at a time
They were so slow that I ended up doing 3 trips in my car to save them taking longer loading those things. I also unpacked them in the time it took before they even finished packing.
A fee of $60 for “heavy” items was also charged at payment where this was not communicated with me before or during and all items moved were listed- 1 of the 2 chest of drawers they moved was apparently the heavy item and the drawers were both noted in the original quote.
The movers also damaged my not so cheap entertainment unit moving through the doorway at the arrival premises- this was witness by me and mentioned to the movers and all that was said was sorry – this was not deducted from the price or anything .
Have contacted them multiple times and have not received a response.

DO NOT USE their service. I coordinated with them completely prior to the move and provided a complete list of items for them to take. They advised a bigger truck at a bigger expense and I reluctantly agreed. On the day, the truck that came was not the bigger truck according to the driver. His helper seemed to think it was. Straight away they said this will all NOT fit in the truck and wanted me to accept this, or they said we can schedule another day to do your move. Obviously I couldn’t do that!!! I reluctantly agreed and expected to have to take some of my items. However they didn’t eve take 1 box out of the 40 or so that were on the original list and many other items, both big and small. The movers damaged the wall and almost every stair dragging the furniture. They broke a trolley and tried to hide it and also managed to damage a 5 month old new Sealy mattress. The first night in the new home it was evident something had been damaged. Upon bringing this up they advised they cannot and will not be held liable for this as they cannot confirm the state of the mattress prior. I haven’t requested compensation for the other items and floors and walls as had to fix them myself. However, a mattress I am unable to fix and it is brand new!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

They handled everything with care and made sure all my belongings were packed securely. Dedicated to their work and did not cause any damages to my items. The team was professional, and the move was completed faster than I expected. Excellent service! The whole team deserves an award for how hard they worked on my moving process. The initial inspection was very straight forward: the managing director came by on short notice, discussed all the details with us, and immediately provided a very fair quote.

All furniture was carefully wrapped in protective foil, safely transported, and reassembled at our new place. We recently completed a MONSTER move (lots of furniture and shed/diy building materials) with Adelaide Northern Removals. From the first contact with Danielle – who was so nice and understanding of our specific requirements for privacy- to the completion of the move (over 2 days), the experience was fantastic! Steve, Kobi, and the crew were friendly, efficient, hard working problem solvers. They worked into the evening to get the job done with good humour and the price was very fair considering the size of the move. They were very careful with our items and quickly calculated the best route to get stuff into rooms.

They were even able to tackle a 350kg+ monster Jade bush that had important sentimental value.

Would never recommend. Ripped us off by charging us way more cubic metres than we had and refused to do an insurance claim when a lot of our property, including the home we moved into, was damaged by them. Spoke very rudely to us also.

This moving company was really great! The whole process went super smooth, and they made everything easy. From the beginning, they were very friendly and quick to respond to my questions. I still have cabinets that are ruined, and I was not able to take pictures of them because they have been discarded. Don’t be fooled by their sweet promises and reassurances. Choose reliable and trusted movers who have the right equipment. These are the kind of people who make you question why they’re even in this business.

I recently moved and used Sam Removal Adelaide, and I can honestly say they were a breath of fresh air. I’ve dealt with a few removal companies in the past, and I was never really satisfied – there were always issues like late arrivals, poor communication, or rough handling of my belongings. This time was completely different.

Right from the initial contact, Sam Removal was professional, clear, and easy to deal with. No hidden costs, no vague answers – just honest service and helpful advice.

The team that came out to do the job were absolutely fantastic. The boys arrived on time and got straight to work with a great attitude. They were respectful, careful with all my furniture and boxes, and incredibly efficient. It was clear they knew what they were doing and worked really well together as a team.

Please reconsider employing these cowboys to transfer your belongings. They brought with them a van that was completely inappropriate and having arrived an hour late without calling. It took 11 hours to move a family of three 20 minutes from the old house to the new house. In total, we were charged approximately $2500. One of the guys wanted $500 cash up front before he unloaded even though a deposit of $250 was paid.
Now I need to mention the damage.
Our washing machine was damaged in the bottom right corner. One of our pot plants, the pot, was completely smashed. Another pot was crushed by their straps. Lamp shades were crushed. A set of three tripod pots, one had its legs completely snapped off. They didn’t have the common curtiy to tell us.
Boxes were clearly labelled, but they placed them on top of each other all in one room.
We have two boxed topery buxis. They crushed them by placing heavy bagged items on top of them in the van.
In summary, these so-called removal people were completely incompatent and should not be in business. Please do not employ them as their focus is on charging you as much as possible by the hour.
I have already reported them to consumer affairs and intend to take the matter to small claims.
Ensure you read other reviews. Do not employ these cowboy scoundrels.

How lucky was I to be referred Magic Monster to move my 5 bedroom home in Tranmere into storage.

The two gentlemen took meticulous care in both packing their truck then squeezing it all into storage.

The strategic thinking & planning involved left me saying wow over & over. They know their stuff!

What a super job they both did & must have been incredibly exhausted after. All took time however every minute well worth it.

Had i realized the enormity of the job, i would have provided lunch & plenty of refreshments.
I’ve booked them again in 4 weeks time to move me into my new home.

Don’t use them unless you want your property damaged! On 3 April, their removalists damaged my front door, sent their mates in to have a go at patching up the door and 3 weeks later still haven’t bothered to return and finish their shoddy work. Also, didn’t use drop sheets so there is stain drops on my pavers. Photos attached are of the initial damage, their bad attempt at fixing the door and just one example of the stained pavers.

Recently moved from Brisbane to Adelaide and in the process, we initially rang a different company to get a quote for the move, but the other company (Kent) wouldn’t even come to see us to quote until we had a moving day and confirmed address in Adelaide to move to. I explained to them that we were selling our Brisbane house and wouldn’t have a date or delivery address in Adelaide unti well after we had sold, but we needed to get a quote to budget for the move. Kent would not come, so then I rang Grace who I’d used in a prior move over 30 years ago.

I don’t recall why I didn’t call Grace first anyway, but I’m sooooo glad that we ended up with Grace as everything went smoothly and perfectly

The final phase of the move was the delivery to our new home in Adelaide, and just to top off what’s been a great experience with Grace all the way through, the delivery guys (Damien and Adam) were just amazing.

We had 2 x 20’ containers full of our belongings, and we used Grace to do the packing too, so in the end, Kent; you guys missed out on a big job $$$ due to your stupid quoting rules!

Cannot recommend Grace highly enough, and if you are moving to Adelaide, then tell them you want Damo & Adam to be your delivery team.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Booking process and collection were fine, but it all went downhill fast. Fridge arrived dented, dining table had a huge chip out of the concrete top, bedside tables broken, buffet damaged, pots smashed. On top of that, they left a massive scratch across multiple planks of flooring in our hallway. They sent out an unlicensed ‘handyman’ who didn’t even know what type of flooring it was, and since then? Crickets from the customer care team.

We’ve moved a few times and understand the odd knock can happen, but the level of damage and the complete ‘oh well’ attitude with zero compensation is unacceptable.

Don’t get sucked in by these guys.

One happy customer here. Will be returning if another relocation is required. Great communication throughout. They were patient with my disorganisation and indecision. I felt taken care of and in good hands. One outstanding thing for me was the quotation stage where they did it via zoom. I thought that was very efficient and made everything seem easy. The delivery guys were very friendly and polite. Thank you team.

Jordan and the other gentleman who delivered my furniture to my address in Hendon provided outstanding customer service. Having moved many times due to my ex-husband’s service in the Defence Force, I’ve experienced a lot of different moving companies—and this level of professionalism and courtesy is rare. They were incredibly respectful, efficient, and took great care with everything. They truly went above and beyond—and honestly, they deserve a raise.

Absolutely horrendous experience with Grace.
Several of my belongings arrived damaged, some items never turned up at all, and the bikes were dumped without being reassembled as promised. To make it worse, they even managed to scratch my floor from the front door to the kitchen.

The follow up has been hopeless, sent out a maintenance guy that couldn’t even work out what type of floor it was.
Grace weren’t the cheapest quote we received but the initial consult was good so we proceeded with them, unfortunately it was down hill very quickly from there!

The whole process was careless, stressful, and completely unprofessional. I expected a smooth relocation but was left with extra costs, repairs, and frustration. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.

Would not recommend, we used Grace to move our furniture from New Zealand to Australia. After promising 6-8 weeks then for our future to sit in Auckland unless we wanted to pay even more to have it shipped earlier, it took 4 months in the end. Poor communication throughout. They then lost a valuable item that was part of our table which I had to chase up over 3 weeks to get a response. Which then resulted in them finding a loop hole in the insurance we took out with grace for them not to cover it.
Won’t be using again when we move back nor will be recommending Grace to anyone.

After two months of requesting a call back being hung up on by extremely rude staff and calls going unanswered I have requested a refund.

Below my review from two months ago

Avoid at all costs. Happy to take your money then cut communication and when you call them out for it they say well we don’t communicate that with our customers. I was never told when my things had turned up to their storage units. I was never told how to collect things. I was then told I basically had to make an appointment to collect things. They then gave half of my belonging to a mover I’d organised because I can’t get them on Saturdays. They didn’t bother telling me some of the things were not given to them until I followed up. They didn’t make an effort to tell me when my other belonging were going to be delivered. They broke my table because they were to lazy to fold down the sides. And they never returned my ladder not point of trying to reach out and resolve it they will just blame you. So in return it was a horrible stressful experience. My 60 year old vintage table is broken and my ladder is missing indefinitely and best of all is I reach out to customerservice@grace.com.au and they never bothered getting back to me. Grace does not care about moving your things they don’t care about taking care of your belonging they will just ignore you blame you break your things and then blame you
