In both areas I had plasterers complete repairs prior to the painters arrival, so the requirement for Ahmad and his team to do repair work was limited.
Having said that, an area of my living space had an area where the paint failed to adhere. Conversations with Ahmad after indicated it was likely the result of prior water damage. Had this been the extent of the issue I could have cared less.
However, on the day the original painting was completed the painters seemed confused when I raised the fact that there were massive bubbles forming. They appeared to have no idea how to rectify the issue, and Ahmad had to go and ask a paint provider how to deal with it.
Eventually they would return to fix the issue after the area had been left without paint to dry. That area is still visibly uneven compared to the surrounding plaster. I realise that putty and plaster don’t have the same texture when painted, but this section has ‘levels’ that indicate it has not been correctly sanded down to a level surface.
The team were friendly, and have completed the painting in a even and generally satisfactory fashion. However, their ability to deal with anything that isn’t straightforward is questionable. They don’t charge a cheap price, and that at least partially suggests I should be safe in expecting a competent team that knows how to deal with issues that arise. My plasterer and a friend have both experienced a similar adhesion issue with paint in the past, leading me to believe that this is a fairly common issue that Ahmad’s team should have been capable of dealing with.
You can’t go past Star Painters for their quality workmanship, reliability, honesty and fair pricing. This will certainly not be the last time I use Star Painters. Highly recommend this company.

New barge boards were installed on our two storey house and all the timber and guttering was repainted. A new timber staircase to the front door was stained. The verandas front and rear were repainted and finishing the concrete after diamond grinding with paving paint made the house look new again.
Painting inside was less extensive but care was taken and the finish faultless.
