Calibre House Cleaning Adelaide

We booked this service for a proper clean ahead of an important inspection, but it was a complete letdown. Despite paying $209 — including an extra charge for the glass back doors — they were never touched. The most frustrating part is that we had to redo the cleaning ourselves after long work shifts, staying up late into the night just to meet inspection standards. The stove was only superficially wiped; the round burners weren’t lifted to clean underneath, and the knobs were left greasy and dirty. Benchtops were left with marks and debris, and both the sink and tap were still visibly dirty. The carpets were poorly vacuumed, and the floors remained filthy overall. A dirty cloth was even left in the cupboard under the bin — an unhygienic and careless oversight. We received only a $50 refund, which doesn’t come close to covering the poor quality of the service. In fact, the apartment genuinely looked cleaner before the cleaner arrived. This experience was not only disappointing but completely unacceptable. I would absolutely not recommend this service to anyone.

The place genuinely looked cleaner before the cleaner arrived. We only received a $50 refund, but the entire amount should have been refunded. Worst part — this was supposed to be a proper clean before an important inspection, and she completely failed us. Me and the other tenants had to finish the cleaning ourselves after our work shifts, staying up a big part of the night. Absolutely unacceptable and would not recommend. Cleaner’s name is Chloe.

[Edited after second clean] I do not recommend Calibre Cleaning! When we first requested for their services, they sent us a great team (Benjamin and Patricia) who were incredible! However, on the second request, they sent us absolute jokers (Luis B and Laura) despite us requesting for Benjamin’s team. Luis and team left our floors, work tops, bins and bathrooms unattended. We had earlier thought we’d have them clean for us every 2 months but had to cancel. Calibre is not worth your money.

Dhananjaya was very thorough and had a pleasant personality. He cleaned everything immaculately. We would use this service again!

If I could rate a 0 star review I would. Never go through this business if you want a proper, thorough clean and promised job. Their website is deceiving. Promised quotes then when they show up for the job they say it’s not included. They rob/steal you of your money. Our end of lease clean was a disgrace and nothing short of appalling. If we hadn’t done the cleaning which either wasn’t touched or had barely been gone over we wouldn’t have got our bond. Close to $1000 they took from us promising an end of lease clean along with their ‘guaranteed bond back clean’. What a joke. They’re so called professional cleaners…. A young adolescent/older kid could honestly do a better job. Which is so sad. Again, if you want your cleaning done right… don’t go through this business. They will steal your money and leave you to do the cleaning which they promised. Absolutely terrible. You also won’t get any refund. This is where they rob you. You can even offer cash in hand to the cleaners whom come in on the day and they’ll take it yet still not do a good enough job hahahahahahah it’s a joke and absolutely ridiculous. Shouldn’t be running a business that’s robbing people of their hard earned money. Oh also, they offer a discount on cleaning if you give them a 5-star rating… go figure.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The cleaner who was assigned claimed lot of things wrong with the house and tried to say what the agency gave was just a quote and what the cleaners do is the final quote. By that point, more than $750 have been deducted from my account and the house keys for the end of lease cleaning have been given. Its not like we can back out. Then they come back with another major set of issues, saying there are too many things unclean about the house, Yeah, WHY ELSE WOULD WE CALL YOU? The cleaning company was complaining to me as if it is not their job to clean? Then they started adding extra charges for each thing like a list and started badgering me to pay, finally I broke down through the call and suddenly they dropped the extra charge by $200, wonder how that happened? We have cleaned that house so many times while living there and that is one of the easiest house to clean and mop. We approached the agency for a peace of mind and they ruined the whole idea. Afterwards, they called me charging my card without giving me an updated quote for all the extra charges, I had to fight with 2 employees just to get the detailed quote. The first guy, when I told all the extra charges does not add up, he said ohh, thats just gst and some other tax, and that unaccounted extra charge was $100. Finally after a lot of talking, they gave me the a quote which was $61 less. So where did all the extra tax that the guy claimed go? This has made me lose all the faith in the company. I am writing this review before I see the house cleaned, Hopefully I would not have to leave another 1 star review for the cleaning service.
