Mother Vine

Found room for one on a busy Friday night which is always appreciated! Friendly staff member serving and the tuna carpaccio was great, the SA wine flight enjoyable and the follow-up wines that the team chose based on what I liked were great. Lots of hard surfaces so a bit noisy but the place has a nice vibe it’s clearly well loved by the locals as a place for couples to have dinner and friends to catch up.

Once you get the young staff's attention the service is friendly and relaxed. The wine list is pretty good too. The place was buzzy with a live band. The food was the only meh moment. A salmon tartare of sorts had the bland flavour of a 70s prawn cocktail, while halloumi bites in honey were the texture of tofu. Great people watching.

Sunday afternoon Jazz was so lovely and the food was really delicious! Service could be improved. We were initially greeted by a lovely and warm lady but the remainder of our time was with a waitress who was not very friendly at all! We gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was an off night for her…

We came for dinner with our dog, so took a seat outside - unfortunately missed the live jazz played inside. The service was great, the food OK. A bit on the heavy side (a bit too much cheese, mayo and deep fried tortilla chips). The selection of wine by the glass was not that extensive, either. But overall still a good option. The neighborhood around Rundle street felt amazing - shame we were in Adelaide only for a few days.

We had a valentines dinner with a pre selected 3 course menu. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavours were wonderful and we loved every bite. Our hosts were all lovely with great knowledge on our dishes and wines and took great care of us. The restaurant has a lovely warm, quiet vibe, and we're already planning on bringing friends here when we return.

Fantastic quiet night with some great wine (and tequila). Beautiful and warm with the heaters. Fantastic service with a lovely girl who made our night, will be back!

Fantastic Group Dining Experience at Mother Vine! Recently had the pleasure of dining with a group of 11 at Mother Vine, and we opted for the "Feed Me" menu, letting the chef send out his selection of dishes. The food was incredibly fresh, with tantalizing flavors throughout the meal. The beef cheeks were an absolute standout—tender and full of rich flavor! The wine list is impressively extensive, offering something for every palate. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall experience, making it a perfect spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. Highly recommend!
