This was my second time going to Osteria Oggi – it felt necessary to try their tasting menu again, seeing as it was so outstanding the first time round!

The food is truly phenomenal! The service has been great both times, the atmosphere is lovely, but the food really is the utter highlight.

Excellent service, attentive and accommodating staff. We ordered oysters, sirloin, squid ink pasta, and greens. Good amount for what we paid for. We particularly enjoyed the squid ink pasta as it was not overpowering but with fresh flavors. The greens were also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The steak was good but I think we should have had it rare.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Adelaide. I was lucky to get a booth, which was great for a family meal. The delicious smell from the kitchen as I arrived set the mood right away. Every dish, from the starters to dessert, was full of flavor and well made.

I recommend the beef carpaccio to start, the blue swimmer crab tagliatelle for the main, and the tiramisu affogato for dessert. The wine list is also great. I enjoyed it so much, I ended up having lunch here twice a week.

Was visiting from Melbourne for the weekend and had an amazing meal at Osteria Oggi, table for one.

The menu was very interesting to me, haven’t seen anything similar in Melbourne yet (if you know of any, please let me know)

I ordered the pappardelle with chicken heart and chicken liver, however had initially received the rye pappardelle instead.

Thankfully I noticed early on and they were able to swap it for me in 10 mins.

The meal was absolutely delicious and the pasta had just the right amount of chew. Vincotto added a touch of sweetness which I’m not used to in my pasta, again, something different.

Although delicious meal, I personally found the restaurant quite dark, many people were using their torches to view the menu which ruined the ambiance a bit and the restaurant was also quite loud for my liking. This is just a personal preference.

The price was a bit higher than I was used to, however, for this meal, I would definitely come back as a treat myself meal.

Fantastic starters and their olive oil is the best I’ve ever tasted! We both had steak for mains and found it to be sub par for the price of around $50, potatoes and greens were nice.
Very crowded, but service was fast and efficient, but little interest shown in us once our mains was on the table. Lighting is extremely dim, a number of diners were using their phone torches to read the menu, thus inadvertently shining the light in the eyes of fellow diners.
Unfortunately, the booths there are only for a minimum of 3 people, so if you’re there for a special occasion for 2 (like us)you’re seated on the long table with others or at the bar. Not exactly cosy.

What an impressive restaurant! Everything was outstanding, the service and atmosphere was excellent (not too loud despite being full), and the food was delicious. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu and they were able to do it fully gluten free!

We visited Luigi Pasta as a group of six and had such a wonderful dining experience!

At first, we were surprised by the no-menu concept, but our server, Cherry, did an amazing job. She memorized everything and explained the dishes in such great detail, which made it really easy to choose.
The food was fabulous—especially the garlic bread. I also loved the “runway” presentation. Watching dishes slide down the center of the table was such a fun and interactive touch! The only downside was that we were seated near the alleyway, so some cold air came in, and the food cooled down a bit quickly. Luckily, the overhead heater helped keep us warm.

Overall, the staff were wonderful, the atmosphere was lively, and it was such a fun dining experience. I truly enjoyed it and would love to come back!

The food and atmosphere were incredible! Love the idea of a ‘verbal menu’ meaning less decisions to make! However, the one aspect that absolute made our night next level was the staff! Nick and Matt, you made our ‘mums night out’ so much fun! Thank you for sitting with us, laughing with us and keeping us entertained all night long!

Dinner exceeded my expectations! The food (vegetarian for us) was delicious, the service was lovely by Matt, Luigi and everyone else. The live music was the highlight of the night. The piano player is extremely talented, as well as all those who got up to sing! Will definitely be coming back

We went to Luigi Delicatessen as a group of 10 adults. As a larger group, we had to have the feed me menu. The food we had had generous portions for its price and all very delicious. The waitstaff were all really friendly and accommodating. We had a really great catch up dinner there.

Amazing, amazing, amazing!
From entree to main the food was exquisite, tasty and authentic. It’s so comforting to eat hand-made pasta, compliments to the chef!
Antonia! You were such a delight and so friendly. Luigi if you’re reading this, let her know she’s appreciated.
Yes, there is no written menu but i feel it made the experience even more authentic and unique. Giving the waiters and guests an opportunity to actually have a conversation.
Is it pricey- yes. But it is hand-made , and original. Even the antipasto you can taste the quality of the prosciutto and mortadella isn’t just ordinary.
Thank you to the waiters, cooking staff and bartenders for the lovely service.

Visited Luigi Pasta a few days ago and was genuinely intrigued by their no-menu concept — something quite different for Adelaide. My partner and I actually enjoyed the element of surprise and were happy to trust the kitchen. That said, I can understand why some diners may feel uneasy, especially after overhearing a nearby table express discomfort about not knowing prices in advance. A good middle ground might be having a menu available on request or at least a summary of the courses served.

We started with garlic bread and arancini, both of which were delicious. Loved the playful “runway” presentation, such a fun and interactive touch as dishes slide down the centre of the table.

For mains, we had the beef ragu and steak. The ragu was beautifully done, it was rich, hearty, and packed with flavour and generous with meat. Unfortunately, the steak was a letdown; we ordered it medium rare, but it was overcooked (more like well done). It got sent back and they had a new one made but it was still overcooked.

To their credit, the staff handled it professionally and removed it from the bill without issue, which we really appreciated. Service overall was genuine and attentive, and despite the hiccup, we left satisfied. I’d definitely return to give it another go — the pasta alone is worth it!

We ordered the mixed grilled seafood. It came with salad and we also ordered chips with it as well.
The mixed grilled seafood consisted of prawns, scallops, calamari, and fish with a salad and it was all perfect just perfectly grilled and the salad was fresh. Couldn’t have had it any better.
We also added a side of fries and it was probably the best fries we have ever had.
Sadly, it came with a tomato sauce in a sachet.
Which kind of ruined it tomato sauce should be served in a bowl. They serve chilli sauce in a bowl. We won’t take points off for that.
Have a look at our photos to get an idea of how delicious the grilled seafood looks and it tastes as good .

The best authentic Italian in town!
If you’re after real Italian flavors, this place truly nails it with every dish. My top picks are the gnocchi, sea perch, and tiramisu.

Strongly recommended. Atmosphere is good, I felt I was in an old restaurant in Italy.

Food in Adelaide contains too much sodium.
If you want less sodium on your dish, please let them know when you order.

My friend and I had two pasta and small size pizza. I recommend to order ‘s’ , rather than meal size.

Pizza was way to salty. So I give 4 star.
However, this place worthy enough to visit.

꼭 가보시길 추천합니다.

This place has incredible food and drinks BIG TICK pizza was delicious and cooked to perfection, awesome drinks selection – but no drinks menu? I had to use their website to see drinks list

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

Coffee is good here too

Plenty of parking for 2 hours before 6pm, which is handy

San Giorgio offers a fairly spacious dining environment, suitable for both small gatherings and larger groups. The menu features a selection of Italian-inspired dishes, although the execution sometimes falls short of expectations. While the potential for excellent cuisine is evident, consistency appears to be a challenge. The staff, while generally pleasant, could benefit from additional training to improve service efficiency.

Despite some inconsistencies, there’s a possibility to enjoy a satisfying meal here. The portions are notably generous, and certain specialties, like the seafood pizza, receive consistent praise for their fresh ingredients and well-crafted flavors. The house wine is also a consistently positive aspect. Seeking out their signature dishes might prove to be a worthwhile experience.

This was my first time at San Giorgio Ristorante. I was with friends visiting from Texas (USA). We’d been to the Botanical Gardens and were walking back to a hotel on Frome Street. We looked at the menu on the wall from the street and thought we’d give it a go.
The servings are generous, even for my friends from Texas. One friend couldn’t finish her risotto.
I went with the beef and reef. It was a “400 g” scotch fillet. It was topped with half a Moreton Bay bug tail, some calamari and some prawns, served on top of seasonal vegetables with a creamy lemon garlic sauce.
I asked for medium rare, but it was rare. Not a problem because I like rare, but when I’m out, I usually ask for medium rare for expectation management. The steak was tender and tasted great. The seafood was cooked the way I like it. My only gripe was that the steak knife was blunt, and the table wobbled, so cutting the steak created a shaking table. I stood on the table leg flanges for stability, but the experience would have been many times better if I had had a sharp knife. Sorry not to give this a perfect review, but please serve guests with a fair dinkum steak knife.

Holy wow. I ordered the chicken surf and turf. It was delicious and a great combination. I almost licked my plate because of the creamy garlic lemon wine sauce. They offer very generous portions as well. I tried my friend’s salmon and mushroom pasta, delicious. Garlic and cheese bread were delicious, of course.

We had a less than fabulous experience for dinner on Australia Day. We were seated at an outdoor table, and then largely forgotten for the rest of our time at the restaurant. We had to go inside for anything that was needed, such as ordering and to get water for our table, long after it was asked for. It was a hot (35 degree) evening.
Our pizzas and wine were excellent though. It is possible the staff were challenged by the public holiday and hot conditions.

The focus appears to be on creating a space where guests can unwind and enjoy the company of those around them, which is a definite plus.

The portions are satisfying, and the presentation is quite lovely. It seems like a solid choice for those seeking authentic Italian flavors without pretense.

Ta-One Sangsurane

Great atmosphere but pretty disappointing food comparing to the review and price. It took longer than 30 mins for our food and the staff missed my friend’s starter, so it came after our mains but it’s on the house. Staffs are nice but maybe they are short of staffs last night (I don’t know). Pasta was the best thing on the table. Dessert was … maybe I had a high expectation. I feel like the service should be better if the food is going to take long. Overall, the atmosphere is pretty nice, good for drinking but nothing spectacular. Give it a try.

Last night Sat 13 Sept 2025 a group of 6 attended Chianti in Hutt St Adelaide.

I made the booking by phone earlier in the week for 6pm and stated that it was a dinner business meeting.

On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table.
Drinks arrived quickly by the friendly waitress. We ordered our meals which took quite a while to arrive.
All food was delicious even though some portions were small.

Fortunately one member ordered salad and vegetables to share. Beautifully presented and cooked.
We ordered dessert and the waitress attended to take coffee and pot of tea order.

We continued talking and after a couple of sips of coffee the waitress rushed over to say “you have 5 mins to finish we have people waiting”.

We were shocked at the tone barely having sipped the tea and coffee.

The bill was slapped on the table and a very tall waiter came and stood over us and very rudely told us “you have to leave”,
People are waiting for the next seating.
We stated we were unaware of another seating for our table.

He very rudely said “you booked online you would have ticked the box ” .

I tried to tell him I did not book online and he continued to talk over me.
I said excuse me please listen and again he would not let me talk.

I insisted he stop talking and listen.
I said I rang twice 1 to make the booking and 2 to confirm again on Friday and the woman who took my call at no time informed me we had a time limit.
He would not listen at all and just wanted to argue with me and that we had to leave.

One of the rudest and most intimidating waiters we have ever experienced.

One member attended and paid the entire bill of several hundred dollars to avoid an issue.
We then sat outside to finish fresh coffee and tea.

Disgusting behaviour from 2 staff in such a well established, long standing Adelaide restaurant to which we have visited before.

We all belong to business networks and run businesses …worst behaviour I have ever experienced.

Just made us feel we got your money now get lost. Not a good look for the restaurant.

We had lunch on a Monday and we had a great overall experience! FOH staff was friendly and very professional, offered to hang my coat straightaway. My partner and I decided to go for the tasting menu as it was our first time dining here. For starters we had oysters and polpetta di patate (potato cheese balls) which were both divine! Then it was followed with sourdough bread with olive oil, and burrata with kohlrabi, apple, hazelnut and saffron vinaigrette—perfect combination! For pasta we had the tagliatelle which was also good! The highlight of our meal for me was the chicken alla brace (grilled chicken) with cavolo nero (kale), roasted grapes and pine nuts. All the ingredients are just bursting with flavours especially with the kale soaked in sauce. Lastly, we had panna cotta for dessert, which was okay. My partner and I love trying new restaurants and we’ve been to Italy to try their authentic cuisine. Chianti did not disappoint! The only negative comment I would mention is that the server didn’t change our plates between meals unless we asked him to. He also seemed annoyed when we politely asked him for new plates. I just didn’t think it was appropriate to try the pasta on our plates with the vinaigrette from our previous dish. Otherwise, price was reasonable, toilets were clean, overall satisfied with our experience and would definitely come back

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant this week. While eating my pasta, I found a piece of plastic in the dish. I understand that mistakes can happen in any kitchen, and I politely informed one of the FOH staff so they could be aware and prevent it in the future. The staff member was very apologetic and handled it well, asking if they could take the piece to show the chef, which I agreed to.

However, when they returned, I was told that the chef said it wasn’t plastic but “onion membrane.” What upset me was that instead of simply saying, “I’m so sorry, it must have gotten in by mistake,” which would have been totally fine, the response felt more like a denial. It left me feeling as though we were being questioned for raising a concern — which was disappointing.

I asked to have the piece back, but was told it had already been discarded and couldn’t be retrieved. That explanation didn’t feel very reassuring.

I had visited this restaurant once before and had such a great experience that I decided to return and even recommended it to friends. The FOH staff were lovely — professional, kind, and understanding, and I truly appreciated that.

But unfortunately, due to the way the issue was handled by the kitchen, I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.

The food was hit and miss, delicious bread, nice burrata and an unusual take on beef carpaccio which was tasty.
The pasta dishes were a let down. The black pasta and crab was not what I expected and the combination of thick pasta with a heavy tomato base didn’t pair well with the crab and I left most of it. The rabbit ragu was dry. On a positive note the zucchini side was really good as were the potatoes and steak. We finished with cheese and panna cotta
The wine list was small but both the Riesling and Shiraz bottles we ordered were excellent.
The service was sparse but friendly.

I don’t know how they have such good reviews. When you’re paying $150 a head you expect service to be pretty good and to leave full and happy.
The service was non existent, long waits and having to flag down staff, even though it wasn’t busy – we came on a Thursday night. The food was not authentic, nor big enough to fill you. There was hardly any pasta in the bowl and it was missing flavour. If you closed your eyes you wouldn’t know what you were eating. The gnochhi was oily with hardly any meat.
We only ordered Desserts because we were all still hungry and were disappointed yet again. Half the strawberries on the panna cotta were off and should have been in the bin, not my plate. We would never come back.

Everything we had was yum! Particularly the Amalfi pasta and the tiramisu. The mussels were not the freshest but the seasoning was just perfect. The pizza we ordered had lots of toppings, but the flavors felt a bit muddled.

We had an incredible Italian meal here. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and came in surprisingly generous portions for the price. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming.

Everything was delicious, but the calzone was the real standout — absolutely phenomenal. I don’t usually go for vegetarian options, but this one completely won me over. It was rich, balanced, and satisfying in every bite.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic, hearty Italian food in a friendly setting.

I hope Frank (if he is still an owner) is made aware, because this is hard to leave a review like this, but I feel that Amalfi has increasingly dropped the ball in the last 6-12 months.
I have been a huge fan of the Amalfi Pasta dish for 20 years, it is my go-to dish that I regularly treat myself to (travelling from the other side of the city); and when someone asks where the best pasta is Adelaide is – I would always suggest Amalfi on Frome.
However on the last 3 occasions, it doesn’t seem like the same restaurant.
The charm of the Amalfi Pasta is the light buttery cream sauce with prosciutto, mushroom and a hint of chili, it is simple yet refined, delicious, perfectly cooked pasta. But tonight it was a tasteless watery cream mess with random large chunks of coarsely-cut prosciutto.
It seems like the pasta cook has just added a bunch of ingredients together not knowing what the draw of the dish is. It’s nothing like it.
My partner usually gets the Amalfitana, and hers was even worse. Her pasta needs to be gluten free, which I know is harder to cook, but theres no consistency: some of the pasta is undercooked, almost crunchy, while other parts are brittle and falling to pieces. Whats more theres just barely any flavour – she is used to it having layers of taste but I tried some and it’s like something you would find at a pub or Fasta Pasta, not an Adelaide institution.
I have really tried to convince her that the Amalfi I know and love will return – but it’s been 3 times in a row now of pure disappointment. We didn’t even feel like finishing our plates.
So, honestly – I sincerely hope you can turn things around because I really want my favourite restaurant back 🙂
Thank you.

it is no surprise this joint is busy everyday as food is really good. oysters are a litlle small but fresh and each bite brings you back to the ocean. pasta is well executed and sauce is tasty. minestrone soup is served hot and warms the stomach. service is friendly though you do have to wait sometimes cos they are really busy. food is also served relatively quicker then we expected, despite the crowd. inside can get rather noisy so choose to sit outside if you prefer a quiet meal.

Tonight I ordered the Amalfi Special Pizze and… wow. Every ingredient perfectly complemented the other — from the saltiness of the olives and anchovies to the rich umami of the mushrooms — all balanced on a flawless crust. Hands down, my go-to Italian spot for genuine, authentic pizze in Adelaide.

A special mention to our waiter Hudson, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made us feel truly welcome and it’s clear he takes real pride in his work. His service added an extra layer of enjoyment to an already excellent evening.

Highly recommend Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante for anyone looking for authentic Italian done right.

Went for dinner to Celebrate our 32 Wedding Anniversary on Thursday 11/9. This was our 2nd time to Amalfi and we weren’t disappointed. Food was fantastic, staff friendly especially the lovely Lilly who remembered us from a few months back when we first visited. If I had one small complaint it would be the waiting time, it did take a little longer than i would have expected, however in their defence, the restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening. Planning on returning with friends

Borsa is my got to Italian pasta place in Adelaide. The fresh pasta is delicious authentic with an amazing variety of flavours and options. Staff are always amazing and service is incredibly quick most of the time the meals are out within 10 minutes. The vibes are amazing and wine list is also great. Very reasonably priced. Probably been here over 20 times and never had a bad experience.

Love the beef cheeks dish, great portion.

Tiramisu was not very enjoyable, consistency was not right, quite watery. I can only taste the ladyfinger part, not the Mascarpone layer. A bit disappointed.
I have tried a lot of tiramisu. It’s definitely not the authentic one.

But I will come back for other dishes. Hope I will enjoy it.

Came here the other weekend for my friends birthday dinner. Really cool and moody throughout the whole restaurant. We ordered the Mama menu set which came with a lot of starters and the main show, the 1M pizza. There were a lot of starters, and the one we enjoyed the most I would say is the caramelised onions, which is kind of crazy considering the amount of starters we had. The deep fried pizza, was on the tougher side, hard to cut and eat. Found the same thing with the garlic bread, which was hard to cut even tho it was already cut when served. As a group we also enjoyed the selection of cold cuts which were pleasant. When it came to our pizzas, those were also hard to divide up since the slices weren’t cut properly, so we struggled to cut them with the knifes we were given, however the flavours of the pizza were really good – we didn’t really get to pick what we wanted, but I guess they just choose which ones to do. After the first round of pizza, we got a second one, and the second one wasn’t as tasteful as the first. The bottom was quite dark and you could really taste the charcoal, burnt flavour which wasn’t enjoyable. Overall the vibes were good, place is cute and aesthetic and it was a good place for big groups like ours. Price wise, I would definitely say it’s ok the expensive side, didn’t think it was worth the pizza but the amount of starters make up for it.

Have not been here in over 5 years and decided to check this place out for an early dinner with my partner.

We got 1 pizza, pasta and a side dish to share between us.

Overall the experience was great. The waitresses and team were super friendly and accommodating and giving us suggestions on what to eat.

Pricing was really fair considering how many restaurants similar to Antica are way more expensive (yes Italian food for a a good price)

Dishes below!

Massive fan of the mushroom pizza with truffle oil.

Be mindful this place is super busy and we were lucky to get a walk in! Thanks Antica

literally so plain and boring i’m snoring. its so overpriced for no reason for it to taste so bland. went for mother’s day and the woman over the phone assured me that they’ll still be able to save the set menu the day before. we come and they sold out!! ok sure the risotto is literally so plain it tastes like mac and cheese for the price tag of $35. DONT GET THE RISOTTO. ragu is the only thing that has flavour. aranchini is $8 per ball excuse me. and it’s so FLAT the flavour is flat. yeah it’s truffle but it’s flat. it makes truffle not enjoyable. if u go get the 4salami pizza bc that’s the only thing that has flavour. for 4 ppl it was 193. terrible experience just go for pizza that’s it. italian food is good but this is like so bland. no shade it’s catered to the white folk like figuratively and literally
