Pony and Cole offers a delightful experience, particularly if you’d like a place for a casual brunch. The atmosphere seems quite comfortable and conducive to relaxed conversation. The team clearly prioritizes customer satisfaction, providing generally prompt and attentive service – a real plus for busy mornings. I’d say the menu variety is a definite draw for diverse tastes.
While the food presented is quite appealing, a bit more breathing room for perusing options before ordering could be beneficial. It is appreciated that the interior is kept at a very reasonable temperature and the overall design lends itself to a pleasant, although perhaps slightly noisy, setting. I’d recommend the coffee selection for those seeking a quality pick-me-up.

Customer Reviews
Service was wonderful and that’s what you need at 7:30 am on the way to the airport for a 9am flight! Even better, the coffee was excellent, so I did not have to succumb to the watery liquid they served on the plane. Yay!
I had the poached eggs, which were cooked perfectly. The Rye toast was light and fluffy. I was not getting the mushroom flavours, but other than that, all good.

I have an amazing experience every time I go to Pony & Cole! I love the menu because everything on it is delicious! The strawberry matcha’s are amazing I always bring my family here when they come over from overstate because I want to show off the incredible food 12/10 would recommend to anyone wanting an awesome feed! Ps. Would recommend booking on weekends because they get quite busy!

Went on a cold and rainy day because other reviews said it was warm. It delivered: multiple ACs going at 25°C. It was comfortably warm but not too hot. Many cafes are too cold! What’s with that. Coffee and caramel slice were good. Downside was the acoustics, it’s mostly flat non absorbent surfaces so it felt quite noisy, not helped by the fairly dense seating and nuisance background music (I don’t necessarily dislike background music in a cafe but this was bad music). I would go again but maybe consider noise cancelling headphones!

I visited recently, and the food is tasty while the staff’s service is good. However, it felt like they didn’t give much time to look over the menu, as they wanted to take the order immediately. Also, although the food is delicious, some dish prices don’t seem proportional to the portion sizes served. That said, the atmosphere and decor of the place are great.

This has been one of my go-to places for years. I take people here all the time and they always love it! Great vegan options. Amazing food. Really good coffee. Staff are always super friendly. I’ve hosted lots of events in their back of house space too and I keep coming back because they make it so easy and flexible, I always get comments from guests about it.

☆ 5/5
First impression of the place was really good. The atmosphere was really lovely, however it really started to get disappointing from there.
Arrived at 2 – one and a half hour before the written closing time only to be told that the kitchen had closed. This really should have been written down somewhere, all things considered, most brunch places typically close their kitchens maybe 30 minutes to an hour before the written time (which is usually 3 pm), so I think this is really a stretch that they close at 2 considering the written time is 3.30 pm.
Was told that we could still order coffee and cake, so we sat down anyways.
Iced matcha was watery, but the hot chocolate was pretty good. Ordered the chocolate almond, pear almond, apple rhubarb, passion fruit cheesecake and it’s not much to brag about. The only decent ones in my opinion was the apple rhubarb and pear almond – though I did like the plating.
Overall, I’m a little disappointed in this experience. Maybe next time I’ll have the chance to experience the menu dishes.

A group of us went for breakfast. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
I had the pancakes of the month – every mouthful was delicious. The juice was fresh and yummy. I had a hash brown on the side which was crunchy, salty and everything a hash brown should be.
The open style kitchen meant we could see the food being created with love and care.
Will definitely go back to try more menu items.

We came in as a group of seven and were warmly welcomed, with seating quickly and thoughtfully arranged. The menu read simple but each dish was beautifully plated and well-prepared. The coffee was amazing, and the service was top notch. Definitely looking forward to returning!

My friend recommended this place to me when I visited Adelaide. We tried the poached egg on sourdough bread and the Turkish egg, and were blown away by the freshness of the ingredients! The sauces are made with multiple flavors, and while each one is simple, when combined they create a rich, delicious combination. I’m a big fan of this restaurant

This is a nice little cafe, but their coffee is awesome.
The store is a bit smaller, so it is readily suitable for up to 4 people. More than 4 would probably need to see how busy they are, or you many have to split tables.
The services were good, as all of their staffs were kind and friendly.

This lovely restaurant makes you feel like you’ve left Adelaide for another country. The food was amazing — I had the steak with mash potato and it was spot on. Staff were really friendly. 4.5/5 ⭐️

A lovely aesthetic place to eat, it does feel like you aren’t in Adelaide but a quaint Parisian cafe! The food was quick to come out and well portioned. The cheese soufflé had just the perfect amount of jiggle and was fluffy, melting in your mouth. The gnocchi was flavoursome with the pear adding to the textural experience. The steak frites were nice but not outstanding. A little bit tough but it added the protein to our dishes. We really enjoyed the Turkish apple iced tea, we even ordered two each! It was sweet and refreshing, cutting through the dairy we ordered. The citron tarte had a nice amount of meringue and zesty enough without being too overwhelmingly sweet. Lovely staff

Faultless.
Everything was amazing from the service, coffee and the French ambiance.
Not cheap, but you pay for what you get.
The croque monsieur was to die for.

Visited as it was recommended as one of the places to visit in Adelaide.
Let’s start with the interiors/vibe great beautifully put together and the service was good as well (would off appreciated if they asked how do you want your meat to be cooked)
Now let’s talk about the food let’s just say not one of the best French food I have had!
Steak was overcooked and was struggling to cut it and then chew it…fries were decent!
For the food served the place is definitely overpriced!

This place is such a hidden gem. I love everything about it. The design is modern and thoughtful, the atmosphere is great, and the service is always friendly. The food and drinks never disappoint. They change the menu regularly, but everything I’ve tried has been worth it. The sweets on display are especially hard to resist.
My go-to is the damper with a cup of latte. The latte is honestly the best I’ve had in Adelaide. It’s rich, bold, and still incredibly smooth. Parking is easy, but it’s definitely a good idea to book ahead since it’s usually fully booked.
P.S. I hope they bring back some of the best-selling or most-reviewed dishes.

Wow what an incredible experience and welcome to Adelaide.
First stop after flying in, Bloom restaurant was exceptional and set the standards for Adelaide high.
Greeted at the door by a confident lady we later found out to be called Mia.
Though busy, after a short wait she personally prepared a table for us to enjoy our brunch.
The beverage menu was absolutely well equipped and the batch brew coffee was delightful.
When seated by the lovely host Mia, she gave us well as the ability to change a lot of dishes to satisfy my vegan preference, which I really appreciated.
Our server “Malcolm” was a charismatic guy who gave me plenty of vegan options on the menu and made sure we had a lovely experience.
The Musabaha chickpeas with tomato jam accompanied by a big thick slice of house made focaccia with a creamy almond ricotta. Was exceptional.
Also the avocado toast was delightful. With that house made almond ricotta and a sundried tomato jam, some braised rainbow chard was also served given how much My friend enjoyed it before.
The room was spacious and a beautiful venue, for large or small groups, dinners or wedding and events.
The wine list looked fantastic however wine for brunch wasn’t the vibe for this particular visit.
I can’t wait to come again

Everything is great but a bit pricey for what you get and adding a 10% surcharge over weekends are a bit steep. Location and service were great. Just cannot justify the cost and surcharge for the food you get in return. I have had better for less.

We recently hosted our engagement party at Bloom and would recommend this venue 100 times over.
Sabrina is incredible, from start to finish I never had to worry about anything. Her communication was on point, her understanding of my vision and her organisation in the lead up to our event and on the night was very much appreciated.
All the staff that ran the event on the night were incredible and the food was complimented by all our guests.
The space looked beautiful, better than I ever expected and the venue was set up by the team before I even got there to help.
Couldn’t fault anything about our experience.

It was my first visit to this place and I must say it was top notch. I didn’t have a booking & was a walk-in. The cafe was packed. The lady who attended me at the front was very kind and accommodated me very soon.
My mushroom dish and banana smoothie were to die for especially the smoothie. I’d strongly recommend this place.

Lovely ambience, inside and out. We’ve been for breakfast a few times – I’d recommend booking a table. And we’ve had a walk-in experience. If you walk-in, you’re able to sit outside (out the back), and can eat pastries and order coffees. The cooked breakfast is great, and they’re very catering to food allergies & intolerances. @kirbystaltari

On a cold wet winter’s morning I am happy i found The Big Table located at Adelaide markets. I indulged in a brekkie bun ( with the most sensational chili jam I have ever tasted) and Pete had the porridge with strawberries and coconut flakes. Both were delicious . The coffee was also excellent. I highly recommend this quaint stall on your next visit to the markets. They also do a lot of rolls and baguettes. We will return.

Saw all of the good reviews for this place, and we wanted to try it for ourselves. We got in early but still was jam packed, and for good reason! We managed to jag a table, as did most other people despite the deceiving small space. The food didnt take long at all and it was out of this world. I’ve never had bread so tasty like that?! I want to go back so I can try everything else on the menu. You can tell so much love and passion is put into cooking the meals. So much attention to detail from each staff member. Anyway, will 100% be back!!! (As you can tell, my other half couldn’t wait to eat because it looked and smelt beyond good, he was right)

I don’t know why I haven’t tried Big Table earlier and I deeply regret it – Merci – breakfast this morning was fantastic! It was the start of the day, I had an incredible coffee, got to practice some Farsi and the corn fritters were probably some of the best I’ve ever had. None of this fluffy, doughy stuff but flat, nicely fried, full of corner and drizzled with a tantalising dill dressing – Perfect. I’m going to be a new regular

Great way to start the day! Stopped in here for breakfast while on a morning walk. The food was delicious with very generous portion sizes. Sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the food being prepared while chatting with the owners. I forgot to take a photo before I started eating but this is my plate after I’d already eaten half! It was our first time exploring this city with friends, and we were getting a bit hungry ️. We passed by this place and checked out the menu everything looked so good !
The owner was super friendly and recommended a few dishes, so we decided to give it a try. The food turned out to be really yummy , and the owner was so sweet—he even helped us take some photos ! We’d love to come back next time and try more dishes on the menu!

Found my new place whenever I make my rare appearances in the city! Had the same server both times I’ve been there this week (On Monday and again on Saturday both for my birthday) and both times he was super sweet offering a nice bevy as a little birthday treat! Give the pork belly and the steak a try, it’s absolutely perfect It’s very cosy and away from the busy city life, fully recommend 100%

After moving to another city, I haven’t been able to find anything quite like my favorite dishes from Lenox. I honestly can’t wait to go back to Adelaide just to eat there again!
The zucchini corn fritters are the most delicious—I still think about them. There’s such a great variety of flavors in this dish: crispy fritters, natural sweetness from the corn, a touch of sourness from the sauce and tomatoes, saltiness from the fritters and halloumi, and a creamy richness from the poached eggs and avocado. It’s perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying.
The açaí bowl is also a favorite for both me and my husband. It’s refreshing and not too sweet—just right.
Another standout is the “I Can See Your Halo”—a halloumi sandwich that’s so good, I even remembered the name! My husband really liked it too.
And of course, he also loved the burger from Lenox. Flavorful and juicy beef—definitely one of his top picks.

I was walking down Rundle Street casually and looked at a menu from this American-themed establishment. Knowing how hard it is to work in the hospitality sector in the past, I was warmly greeted and well received.
I must commend the waiting staff and chefs for their efforts.
My plates were left completely empty. That’s how fantastic the food looked and tasted.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I encourage anyone to support this wonderful venue.
Thank you to the Lenox Av team.

A hidden gem that feeds more than just your appetite
The vibe is everything here. From the moment I stepped inside, there was a sense of ease that wrapped around me like a warm hug. The staff move with a calm confidence, never rushing to take orders or shuffle people out the door. Even with a steady flow of customers scattered throughout the space, there’s no pressure, no noise.. just a quiet hum of people enjoying their morning.
It felt like the world outside had paused.
The lighting is soft, the music gentle but uplifting, and the greenery dotted throughout adds a touch of soul to the room. But the real magic happens where the food is made. The chef, completely visible from where I was sitting, was cooking with such peace in his movements, not a single flicker of stress on his face. No frantic kitchen clatter, no chaos; just presence. There’s something powerful about that. The food arrived quickly, but nothing about it felt rushed.
You can taste the energy here. You can feel it in the food. This isn’t just cooking for money or to fill an order. It’s cooking for the joy of it, for the way food makes people feel. There’s a kind of quiet reverence in that. It’s rare. It’s real.
And it didn’t stop at the plate. The chef himself brought food to tables, opened doors for guests as they left, chivalry is alive and well in this little corner of the city, and it’s folded into every part of the experience.
I had the breakfast burrito and honestly, half was enough to fill me. The flavour had just the right level of warmth; not heat, but a slow, sensuous ember that lingered on the tongue. It danced lightly, not overpowering, just enough to whisper ‘remember me’ with every bite.
The ceiling caught my eye, made entirely of wooden spoons, crafted into an intricate piece of art. It’s imaginative and clever, a reminder that food is art and spaces like this are the gallery.
By the time I left, I felt something I don’t often feel in the middle of Adelaide’s cbd: Stillness. Calm. Fulfilment.
Like I had all the time in the world to just be. This place doesn’t just serve food, it gifts you a feeling, the kind that stays with you long after the last bite.
If you’re reading this, go. Whether you’re a local or passing through, The Flinders Street Project is more than a cafe, it’s an experience worth tasting.

Incredible dining experience at The Flinders Street Project! Went with friends and the service was exceptional – staff were patient and coordinated perfectly to serve all our dishes at the same time. The food was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Everyone was friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. The atmosphere was lovely and the entire experience was flawless. Highly recommend this gem in Adelaide CBD for both the outstanding service and amazing food. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

I believe this restaurant must have very high standards for their dishes. If the food takes over 60 minutes to prepare, the burger buns must be kneaded and baked fresh on-site, right? A toast order that takes 60 minutes must mean they’re still waiting for the hen to lay eggs. Two slices of toast, two eggs, and a scoop of salad—60 minutes? That’s ridiculous. If you don’t want to work, there’s no need to purposely keep customers at their tables, constantly saying, “It’ll be ready in five minutes.” Waiting over an hour—arriving at 10:30 and getting food at 12—is laughable.
And to top it off, the food served is cold. Are you doing this on purpose? Disgusting.
If you don’t have the ingredients, why not say so earlier? Waiting for an hour, only to be told at the time of serving that it’s unavailable and needs to be replaced with bacon—absolutely ridiculous!
If you don’t have enough kitchen staff, could you please hire some?
It seems like others have faced the same issue, and it feels like you don’t take this seriously.
After all, customers will still come, and even if they don’t, you still get paid anyway.

Average food. A regular looking smoothie shouldn’t cost $10.90 though Cleanliness and sanitation need to be improved!!! There was a left-out magazine on a booth couch; and the table was a bit sticky. (Also the light smell of cigarettes from the back door is very unfortunate. )

Had an absolutely fab brunch here. The menu is very varied with loads of choice for anyone. Orange juice and apple juice freshly made and very tasty. The Mad Mushrooms looked great and tasted even better. The Big Brekky is exactly that – big but so so good. Eggs on all plates cooked to perfection – runny yolk mmmm. Coffee very good and oat milk available.
Staff very friendly and clearly a favourite with many as tables filled as soon as people left.
Will definitely return and recommend to anyone

Casual brunch place in the heart of the city. Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of choices on the menu as well. The fried chicken waffles were alright. The raw spring onions were too big and weird to be put on the plate. The fried chicken wasn’t very crispy, but well seasoned. Waffles were fluffy and went well with maple syrup. Wood oven pizza was soft and good. Prices have increased
