Lakes resort is a great place to stay in Adelaide. It’s along the west lake and has a peaceful spot with a beautiful scenery overlooking the balcony.
The swimming pool was super clean and the breakfast was very delicious. We tried their pumpkin spinach fritters and smashed avocado. Both the dishes were 10/10.
The bed is comfortable and the room was spotless. The staff is friendly and very professional. Overall very inviting resort and we will definitely come again with family.

This is just such a lovely hotel with lots of amenities. The continental breakfast is actually their regular menu and you get a great full meal like Eggs Benedict or tasty French Toast each morning. They also have fruit plates and lots of wonderful choices. The rooms are very nice and most have a view of the Lake that runs beside the hotel. Kayaks and rowing groups go by all the time. The choice of restaurants within the hotel are versatile as well as a terrific sports bar where you can watch Australian and American sports. Our basketball has become very popular in South Australia. Also it is directly across the street from a large Mall that was just full of great shops. It was a huge mall and I was told it is actually smaller than many of the other Malls around SA.|And finally, this is a family owned hotel and the employees really love the Husband and Wife that own the establishment. They have done a wonderful job of making the hotel feel like you are home and the employees treat you like family while you are there.

Was a great lunch. I was a little under dressed wasn’t expecting to have a late lunch at the Lakes but they weren’t too fussed and the lovely Manager Trevor was accommodating. Will return for the food and the views at this iconic landmark of Adelaide.

Very disappointed in the staff tonight in the function room so rude! I’ve never experienced that before! One lady just really hated her job & it showed I’d be doing a reevaluation, if hospitality is for you. I loved the food & the function room but the staff killed it & we won’t return

The lake view is amazing! The bathroom is large and modern. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable and was sinking a lot. The WiFi worked poorly and the TV was not smart so couldn’t stream. Close to a great shopping centre and some restaurants. Overall still a great place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay here. The hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions, dining options, and transportation. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s warm welcome set the tone for a wonderful experience. In particular, the doormen were exceptionally polite, friendly, and attentive, going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed.

Our room was impeccably clean and well-appointed. While a bit on the cozy side, it had all the amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, with a thoughtful layout that made the most of the space. Breakfast was another highlight; the variety and quality of options provided an abundant and satisfying start to the day.

Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service, prime location, and attention to detail. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Adelaide and hope to stay a little longer next time.

Perfect spot for a work trip. The staff are really accommodating. Great rooms especially with the view on the park side, just beautiful in the morning. Really quiet despite being on a busy corner. Breakfast downstairs was really nice too. Good quality and good price point ($20 for muesli and coffee)

I have been a customer of Rydges Adelaide for approximately 25 years, staying multiple times per year, I stayed on the 19 December and at 8 am on the next morning I asked for a late check out due to a health concern , and I was refused with no flexibility offered at all, infact the manager knocked on our door as we were 15 minutes late to check out, he was side and also accused us of smoking in the room with is ridiculous, then as I calmly expressed I was disappointed that he was rude and not interested in our fair request he became angry and threatened to call the police on me! I recorded the whole interaction with the horrible manager and I’ll happy share it with the owners of Rydges, I was also charged extra money for the late check-out by the manager without even coming in the room ! I’m extremely disappointed and my confidence with the business is damaged!

My boyfriend and I checked out a few hours ago, after a weekend stay. As our first getaway together, it was amazing! First off, we got a room upgrade which was so kind, and the room was absolutely amazing. The staff at the front desk were so kind and accommodating! We had dinner at the Skyline Restaurant and it was exceptional, the food was amazing and the waitress was so kind also. We also had breakfast down at the Deck Cafe which was really good also. Unfortunately one of the days the room service and restaurants were unavailable, but fortunately there were many options to get food delivered, so luckily this wasn’t an issue. Overall, this stay was amazing, the staff were so kind and the room was beautiful. Thank you to the kind staff at Rydges Adelaide for the best stay, we will definitely be back again!

We stayed here whilst looking at property in Adelaide. The location was great, very convenient to the areas we were looking. |Parking is an issue in this area, so we had to pay an extra $28/ day to keep the car underneath. |The room we had was relatively clean, but worn and in need of maintenance and a soft refurbishment. The king bed was comfortable and we slept quite well, but the pillows weren’t great. |The reception staff were friendly, but the housekeeping staff need to do their job! We were there for 5 days and on day 2 asked for the body wash to be filled as it was empty. We bought our own as it never was after asking on consecutive days ‍♂️ This should be checked when they service a room. Multiple days the rubbish bin was left nearly full! The safe was faulty and couldn’t be used, the dishwasher required maintenance on day 2, the handles around the shower need re securing, the dining chairs were scuffed and worn, the tv in the bedroom couldn’t be used. I’ve attached some photos and advised reception during our stay and on checkout of the deficiencies. ||To wrap up, the location is great, but I would stay somewhere else next time, as I don’t believe the property is fair value in its current condition.

Thank you so much for having us, We will be coming back again for sure

Staff were great! Room was upgraded!! Close to public transport and the entertainment hub/restaurants and shops.

Room felt so luxurious, without the price tag!! Was a great stay, the only negative I have is that my room didn’t have a DND card, so I was disturbed.

Great suites at an affordable rate and well located in Glenelg and near the airport.

Lots of options nearby for food, shopping, drinks and for a swim.

If you’re lucky you might catch a car show or a food festival usually located within a 5 minute walk.

Location is great, right by the sea, and the view is stunning.

Reception staff were very welcoming, efficient and took great care of us both at the start and end of our trip.

There is a restaurant downstairs and a pub (restaurant is a bit expensive but it is convenient).

We booked the Oaks Hotel on the beach because it seemed like the perfect location and offered the convenience of hotel services, which we expected to be of a certain standard. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations and felt more like a very average Airbnb.||||The decor was bland and uninspired, and the lounge was uncomfortably stiff, making it hard to relax. To our surprise, there weren’t even enough dining chairs for our group of four, and the kitchenware was a mix-and-match assortment of plates and cups that didn’t align with the quality we anticipated. Additionally, there were no beach towels provided—a basic amenity we expected given the location. The only plus was the view and the beds were very comfortable. But for $400+ a night, I expected more. ||||Overall, the experience left us disappointed, and in hindsight, we wish we had just booked an Airbnb instead, at least we would have received free parking.

We stayed here for the night to attend an event in Rundle Mall which was a very short stroll away so the location was excellent. ||||We booked online directly with the hotel which was actually cheaper than Wotif and came with free parking which is off site but just a short stroll away on Hindley Street. ||||The rooms are a bit dated but the beds were soooo comfy. I had the best sleep I’ve had in a long time!! The spa and pool water was very clean, which was fantastic with fresh towels available. ||||The hotel staff were also very welcoming and helpful. ||||Thankyou.. we will definitely stay again for value and location.

not the best.
rooms could do with a sprucing up, the bed(s) I have is terrible, it’s way to soft, its two single old mattress’s that have been put together to give the impression you have a queen-size bed they both have large indentations that you sort of get stuck in, so ironically the only refuge you get is the firm part in the middle.
Getting the feeling it would have been awesome 30 years ago.

Do not stay at this place. Disgusting and appalling service. I stayed there Oct 2024, and my room had a sewage leak. I was left stuck in the room. They refused to move me or offer me another room. I had to pack and go home. it ruined the entire weekend and I’m still waiting on refund

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I felt compelled to write a review. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious and clean. Most of all – the service is AMAZING!! I travel a lot for work and this hotel has the best service by far. It is incredibly consistent – from the staff in the lobby/reception/taxi area to the cleaning staff, this place is 10/10. Everyone we encountered was helpful, courteous, responsive and friendly.

The staff at Eos are just incredible they provide 24 hour service, including room service (food is incredible and reasonably priced), valet and even offering to carry our luggage to our room. But aside from the amazing service they provide they are also incredibly kind. Particualrly Mr Pranav Dodeja who remembered us from checking in the night before in our wedding dress and tuxedo. Knowing it was our honeymoon they offered us a complimentary sparkling wine and the most amazing room possible to make our time feel extra special. |The river view of Adelaide is simply incredible, having lived here my entire life I’d never seen these sweeping views before, which highlight just how stunning this city is. As for our room we couldn’t be happier,it’s super clean and feels ultra luxurious with modern colours, king bed, automatic curtains and very spacious bathroom, you will feel really luxe staying here even if only for a night.|I am so so grateful we booked with Eos on a whim; which was a very last minute decision but the 24/7 option to check in made everything so convenient and we certainly don’t regret a single moment of our time there. We will definitely be back for our anniversary in a year’s time.
