I’ve been seeing bands here since the 80s… Nothing has changed and it doesn’t need to – it’s the BEST band venue around. Beautifully daggy and retro, an awesome space, perfect size and (here’s the most important part) the sound is always fantastic. Thebbie is an icon!!
Best sound system out of any South Australian venue. I’ve never heard anything sound bad here. Staff are always friendly even when it’s super busy.

A fantastic venue but the old charisma doesn’t make up for seating that is made for a generation of smaller people. Still at least you can see over people’s heads. Covid seating a bit odd. Will we ever be able to stand up and dance? Bee Gees first concert band since Covid and they were pretty good.
Great venue for a concert. Has a lot of character. At interval they had staff directing people in the ladies toilets. Seeing the crowd that was there, everything went quite efficiently . After concert opened side doors so all could exit quickly. Can park for free in the side streets so that also is a bonus
Went to Thebarton last night for the first time and was thoroughly impressed at the quality of service offered. When I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and chatty staff in a well-kept lobby. The venue is massive, and maintains beautifully aged decor with a multitude of levels. Cloak room staff were very helpful when it came to catering to one of my unusual requests, and bar staff served my exact portions of alcohol at a fair price. Will definitely keep my eye on future events at this establishment!

Superb old style building with lots of setup options be it Megadeth or 80s. Great sound, easy going staff and an easy to get to location. Parking always adventurous but great venue nonetheless.

Upmarket but not too expensive restaurant upstairs. Private function space when no show on.
We have never been at Her Majesty’s Theatre & Wow what a place we were there to see the Michael Jackson & the guy was amazing & it was a great show
What a beautiful old theatre, close to public transport and the Central Market which is in renovation atm. Plenty of pubs and eateries nearby too!

First opened in 1913. Have visited this beautiful theatre to watch a number of performances before and after the major redevelopment was completed in 2020. Went on a tour of Her Majesty’s Theatre today (1/9/2025). The extensive renovation preserved the original facade on Grote Street, restored architectural elements, expanded the seating capacity and introduced a new west wing with a modern glass facade. Beautiful! The tour took us to each level of the theatre as well as back of stage areas. Really interesting tour. Very entertaining and knowledgable volunteer guide, Peter.

Love the shows put on and the staff are friendly. Only wish the seating area in the foyer could have been made larger and for pre-show dining when the main theatre isn’t open, it was a little tricky to find out how to enter. A sign on the door would be a simple solution. The food however was delicious.
Great theatre. The only fault….only 2 bar staff serving, as 2 on tills. The line for the bar is far too long.

Had an incredible time here watching a cabaret show at the fringe. Warm and inviting atmosphere with spacious social areas and a detailed wine list to match. Public carpark next door allowed easy access as well.

This venue is consistently great. Live music, theatre, dance or just as a bar for after work drinks. The oldest mainland theatre building in Australia. It spent a long time not being used but has been revived. The space is versatile and full of comfy nooks to hang out in. We saw AJ Pike vocalist last night. Have been to two very different performances at the Queens Theater in the last month, was very cool to see it used for both an intimate live music gig as well as fully produced stage performance. Friendly staff and plenty of parking within walking distance makes for an easy and enjoyable night out.

Nestled around skyscrapers this tiny little theatre still stands proud. We went there for a SA produce market and it was a great venue. It’s great that it has survived and I had no idea it existed.
Great artist/artisan market on the weekends. The setting is spectacular, almost wish there was no renovations plan. There was a street party on the day of my visit, with truly amazing tacos! Worth having a look
