Woolshed on Hindley offers a lively atmosphere that makes for a wonderful night out. The ambiance is inviting, and it provides a great setting for socializing with friends. The staff members are generally attentive and foster an enjoyable environment, ensuring guests feel welcomed throughout their visit.
However, the noise level can occasionally reach uncomfortable highs, making it challenging to converse comfortably. If you plan to indulge in the exciting nightlife that this venue has to offer, it might be wise to come prepared with some earplugs to enhance your experience. Overall, Woolshed presents a solid option for a fun night out.

Absolutely disgusting and racist security officer. He seems middle eastern tall and slim idiot denied entry 3 times. May I know what’s wrong with the security? I always get entry because of my physique but my friends waiting patiently in a queue didn’t get entry because of their colour and nationality. The pub inside environment is good but at this stage zero customer service from me and my friends.
Amritpal Grewal

Good venue let down by the volume of the music – it is so incredibly loud I don’t think it can be safe. I’ve clubbed at dozens of places all over the world and never in my life have I been anywhere so loud. I wasn’t able to relax and enjoy the venue because I was genuinely concerned about hearing loss. It was great otherwise and could be a brilliant venue if they’d just turn it down a bit, unnecessarily and unsafely loud. Bring earplugs if you’re sure you want to go
Nadiya Rashid

Passed through on a Friday night. Reasonably quiet and only access to the bottom floor. Smokers area is out the back on a pair of stairs.
Evening was enjoyable until the early hours of the morning. 90% of the security team was professional and friendly. There was one that was acting like a right potato and ruined the whole atmosphere trying to assert his position and his job role over people. Myself and others left after this.
Forrest (Norbitts)

Racism on their peak at woolshed
Absolutely disgusting discrimination at the door. While calmly waiting in the queue, security at door told me I’m not allowed to go in .My friends was refused entry too due to their skin colour aswell We were asked to exit the queue. Tall security guard always make excuses not to let us in discrimination place should shut down.
This is 3rd time happend to us mangement should do something about this otherwise they will get legal notice soon based on racism going on there
Specially that tall security guard he is enjoying harrasing and bullying people based on their skin

###DISGUSTING RACISM#####
I am utterly disgusted by the blatant racism my friend and I experienced at Woolshed Night Club last Saturday evening. As brown-skinned people, we were targeted and refused entry by a slim, tall security guard who seemed to be looking for any excuse to turn us away. He had been observing us multiple times, walking back and forth as we stood in line, clearly searching for a reason to deny us. Eventually, he approached us and claimed it was a “management decision” and that he couldn’t do anything about it. To justify this he brought out lame excuses and even brought up the fact that we might drink too much, despite me not consuming alcohol at all. All we wanted to do was dance and enjoy ourselves.
What makes this even more desperate is that right after we were turned away, a group of white people behind us was allowed to continue into the club without any issues.
Others in the queue were looking at us like we’d done something wrong. Is this the way how you treat people Woolshed?
If Woolshed wants to cater exclusively to white people, maybe they should make it clear on the outside of their establishment. As we left, I saw this same thing happening to three other people with skin tones similar to ours. It’s undeniable—this was pure racism.
Whoever is responsible for this disgusting behavior, whether it’s the management or the security staff, should be deeply ashamed. It’s appalling that in 2024, such a backward, poor, and illiterate mindset still exists. Woolshed, you need to do better.

It was a lovely pub in Hindley Street for a meal before going out. Great prices. Food is cooked well and presented beautifully. Plenty of friendly staff.
Not too loud with music, which allows for conversation. It’s a Wednesday, so it could be louder later in the week. A baby peacefully asleep on the next table. We will definitely eat here again. Might even be on a weekend.
Adele Sayers

Very disappointed. Ordered the rump steak and got served a huge piece of chewy fat. Brought this to the attention of a server and was told nothing can be done because the rump has a lot of fat. Didn’t have this problem at a different restaurant with the rump steak a few days prior. Poor customer service when trying to resolve the issue. Find somewhere else to spend your money.
matthew bris

The site dates back to 1838 and is also known as oldest hotel in Adelaide but we were here for the steaks and pale ale .
Over the past 3 years, Chef Jacob van Eyk and his team have created a wonderful culinary menu of modern Australian grub and serve quality steaks! Love the steaks
Soo Hin Yeoh

$60 rib eye Steak was tough as, veg was cold and gritty, and prawns were over cooked.
Told staff who said they would tell the chef and got no feedback from there!
Couldn’t eat any more and went home hungry.
Very disappointing.

We went in to have a Tomahawk steak tonight and we loved it the best steak we have ever had the food was very nice , the waiters and atmosphere was great highly recommended

Fabric Nightclub Adelaide offers an electrifying atmosphere with a well-thought-out layout and excellent bar staff who contribute to a welcoming vibe. The music selection is enjoyable, appealing to diverse tastes, making it an excellent choice for a night out with friends.
Guests appreciate the quality drinks available at reasonable prices, often enhancing the overall experience. While the security can be perceived as a bit strict, the positive ambiance and engaging DJs make it a favored spot for those looking to unwind and dance the night away.
Customer Reviews
Absolutely racist security. Had like 2 drinks in 4 hours or so before heading to the club, security let all my friends in except me and another mate of mine and we were just starting our night so we were pretty sober (we are both Sri Lankan and brown skin). Mind you my friends who went in were absolutely trashed but were white. All my mates came out of the club and went elsewhere immediately but absolutely disgusted with the discrimination me and my friend faced. It was black bouncer as well, not that it matters. I don’t generally go out of my way to leave a review but I wanted to shed some transparency on how this place is managed.
milan edirisinghe

Pretty good nightclub, if you have been to dog & duck this place is pretty much that. Drink prices aren’t too bad, lots of areas with different types of music.
Tellie Niarel

Really glad to see the ol Dog & Duck get a fresh update with the help of Fabric! Really liked the layout and look of the place! Very nice bar and door staff who were having fun and making the vibe really nice, and drinks were ridiculously well priced across the board! Music could be a little bit more innovative or different, it really feels like Woolshed or Cherry 2.0 instead of sticking out like Dog & Duck did, but it’s mostly good!
Only real issue I have is the security, who get a bit aggressive at times and take away from the atmosphere. I was pretty tired after having a good night of drinking, and took a nap on one of the couches on the main floor to take a break, only to be woken up very aggressively by a security guard and escorted out as if I had gotten into a fight. I do understand that there were a lot of people there on the opening night but it would be nice if the security could respect those who haven’t done anything wrong and be more polite in asking them to leave if necessary.
Besides that, really good place, nice to see the revamp be so successful, hopefully it lasts! Will definitely be coming back – albeit wishing that some elements were a little more improved!
Ben Allan (S!rum3n)

I had a really good time here. High quality setup and the DJs really be looking into the audience to vibe the interaction and play off them. Whirlwind of synergy between the dj and listener. I’m pretty sure they have a person constantly viewing the cameras outside to see who is “acceptable” to go in here. Guy wasn’t let in because of his mohawk? Thought we moved past this nonsense as a society? Maybe miss read the situation, but that’s what it looked liked eeek

I love this place. Went there to celebrate a joint birthday with two of my friends and absolutely loved it. It was my second time there and my best friend’s first time (she loved it). Left the early morning and got to start of my 31st, I felt safe there and that is saying something since I have anxiety and trust issues. The atmosphere is wonderful especially the dancers and DJ. So worth going here!
Melissa Herraman

Amazing venue with an atmosphere to impress any taste. From the selection of drinks to the entertainment to the staff to, well, everything. Always somewhere for a good time when I visit Adelaide from Perth.
Maria Chapman

$25 per person for an average kind of night, is wild. Atmosphere feeling disengaged, try to make a better show for the DJs at least. Give a focal point and/or performance, everyone is just facing an empty stage?? Give us our moneys worth !! The people of Adelaide deserve better than this
Kat

I usually love this place as it’s the one place I feel safe when I go out, but security guard number 20 let in half the group I was with until he found out it was a hens party. The group of us that didn’t get let in, left and went somewhere else. When the bride to be left, we tried again as it was no longer a hens party but just a group of friends who wanted to go to their favourite club, after a hens. He let all of my friends in except me because I initially said I disagreed with the hens rule, but I understood it wasn’t his decision. I was left alone on the street. I would have thought that making people from the LGBTQIA community feel safe would be their priority but I guess not. Will not be coming to this club again with security guards like this. It’s actually disgusting and so upsetting to separate a group of people like that. I am so deeply disappointed.
Edit: owner completely disregarded the fact that everyone else in this supposed hens party was let in, but I was not. It was no longer a hens party, get that through your head. Also if it was still treated as such, why was the rest of the group allowed in? No accountability or repercussion for the problematic security guards you have at the door, where they have been badly reviewed multiple times. The security guards pick and choose who they allow in, for somewhere that is meant to be so inclusive, this club is the only club that I have ever been denied entry to. Not inclusive AT ALL.
Caroline T

This place could be so much more, but unfortunately it feels less like an open, accepting and diverse space to cultivate queer joy, and more like you’ve walked into someone’s sweet 16th party truthfully. Can you please play some house music and dance pop from the 80s and the 90s, because why – why are you a queer club and you’re playing Taylor Swift on the dance floor, if only to capitulate to the taste of basic white people in their 20s and to alienate everyone else?

Had a 22nd birthday party here over the weekend, food was a little expensive but didn’t disappoint us! Had an area for 35 guests booked in the fish tank area, we were given a small seated area that fitted around 10 of us, we were the furthest away from the fish tank. I was responsible for the cake and I was never told they didn’t supply plates or napkins to serve. If you are gonna be advertising to have birthday, engagements and other events at the venue it should be made clear to bring your own cake supplies.

Attended Dj Suketu Night, had a blast, other DJs played good too. Amazing cocktails we had a good time ❤️❤️ Enough outdoors and indoors sitting arrangements for organising meetups and parties.

Rocket Bar & Rooftop offers a unique experience with its stunning ambiance and lively atmosphere. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views while savoring delicious cocktails and engaging in fun activities, making it a perfect spot for relaxation or celebration. The staff is generally helpful and strives to provide a welcoming environment for all.
However, some improvements could enhance the overall experience. An expansion of bathroom facilities would be beneficial, ensuring that visitors do not face long wait times. With a few adjustments, Rocket Bar & Rooftop could solidify its reputation as a top-tier destination for nightlife enthusiasts and social gatherings.

not gonna lie didn’t realise wearing a skort would mean that i was in eligible of entering a club. i think the policy is stupid and rockets just didn’t want so many beautiful women in beacause of our attire. ( i’ve been let in with a bikini top on)

Had the rudest encounter I’ve ever had with door staff in Adelaide, with a lady who was clearly on a power trip to pick on anyone just to have something to do. She mocked us to our faces and made us feel unwelcome… for literally existing in the line and making her do her job. What a sad little woman and a sad little place.
elena

Fabulous vibes but in what world are we expected to wait 35 minutes to go to the bathroom? A line out the door for bathrooms and only 2 cubicles for females. Ridiculous if you have that much capacity for entry but don’t support it with facilities. Will not be back

This venue is extremley racist towards europeans. One of the security gaurds also threatend to “put me on the floor” when I was refusing to move whilst waiting for my refund. (I’m a girl this was a male security gaurd).

We went here as a spur of the moment thing during their Halloween event. It was our first burlesque show ever and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The staff were supper friendly from the moment we walked in the door. The door girl was lovely, the host was lovely, all the bar staff were great. And the event itself was amazing, we had so much fun. All the shows were completely different but all so good, some were funny, some were interactive and a few were just down right impressive with all their aerobic skills. Not to mention everyone was stunning. Literally the only “flaw” I can think of is the pricing, the door fee was $30pp and cocktails averaged $20-$25 each and normal base spirit drinks were around $15. But a night out these days is expensive regardless and totally worth it here. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone.

Always (for us) an amazing time out. Watching burlesque and having yummy cocktails . We have in the past had the cheese platter, which is well presented and delish.

Coolest venue in the city! Been a couple of times for the Burlesque Saturday nights, and loved it both times. Great roof top views, an intimate seating area around a small swimming pool, lots of attention to small details, exceptional table service, great cocktails, including pacers and mocktails. We definitely plan on making it a regular haunt!

Just had my Hen’s Party at Nineteen Ten! Amazing venue! Tom the bartender served perfectly made drinks! The venue organisers were very accommodating with what we wanted to do. Thank you so much for helping make my night so fun and wonderful! Everyone absolutely loved it!

Nice rooftop burlesque bar.
Have been here a few times for Hens parties and always had a good time.
The only thing we’ve never enjoyed is the way staff arrange seating. Unsure why this is necessary. Especially when you’ve already been sitting and comfortable for a while, why move people? When you’re still using the same amount of seats and the same amount of tables…

From United States California and saw a post with there signs. This place is becoming a meme for poor customer service. I will remember to never ever come here. As someone who appreciates my rights as a human kinda disgusting. Can’t even wear Ugg boots. Honestly this pub needs to look at themselves

This is not a safe place for anyone. The bouncer kicked me out because a guy accused me of taking photos of him. Which I did not. This brown bouncer lied about seeing me doing so while he wasn’t even there at the first place. A group of drunk men surrounded my two female friends and bully them. The security let that happen. What’s worse is that the staff joined the bullying, tried to steal my camera away from me, violently attacked us. A police report has been filed afterwards. This is awful and disgusting behavior i would not recommend this club to anyone.
junxuan chen

Really disappointed in tonight’s service. Grooving on a booth for over an hour, zhovagos sold a booth to a group which is completely fine, however they forget to mention that the booth that we were in was paid for and reserved for a particular amount of time. We were never advised from Zhivago staff, instead our belongings were thrown all over the floor from patrons who had booked the Booth and thrown verbal abuse with little intervention and ramifications from Zhivago staff.
Brie Crompton

“I recently had a disappointing encounter at a local establishment where I faced racism from the manager and security. It’s disheartening to experience such discrimination in this day and age. I believe it’s crucial for businesses to promote inclusivity and treat all customers with respect. I hope that by sharing this experience, it can spark conversations about the importance of fair treatment for everyone.”

This place is magical. Highly recommended if you are alternative and/or queer. I came here for their UK Garage night with my current partner and we felt very safe and welcome to dance and be cute on the dance floor. You really feel that antisocial people are not welcome here, and thus do not come here. This is one of the best venues in all of Adelaide/Tarndanya.
My only constructive note is that the toilets are a little gross

One of the clubs in Adelaide with good DJs. Mainly 20-30 age range tho. Service is good. Music is nice and you can dance with!
Sherry dezvarei

Absolutely disgraceful. On Saturday night I came to plain Jane with a group of five friends. We waited over an hour in line to be let upstairs to go onto the main dance floor. The security guard was refusing to let anyone in the general line to be let up stairs and when I asked him twice how long the wait will be, he told me he didn’t know and was extremely rude and dismissive. Many people came down stairs so there definitely was room for us to go up and yet he still did not let anyone for the general line go up. He did however let anyone with a wristband or girls he liked up stairs (without a wristband). This was completely unfair as we had waited so long and had wasted majority of our night waiting. I have been to plain Jane many times before and I am honestly disgusted with what i experienced Saturday night. Other people in the line were equally disappointed and confused and I hope you’ve lost heaps of customers as a result. There was no reason why we had to wait as long as we did and I hope for future customers you at least give them the courtesy and tell them that people with wristbands will be prioritised over them so they don’t have to waste their time. Oh and it’s nice to see as well the security guards all letting in underage girls and flirting with them, it’s reassuring to see them really focused on their job and to reiterate the fact that they are all creeps, looks amazing for business. Please do better for future customers.

I didn’t know this place did breakfast until 2 weeks after it was open. It’s a secret that needs to get out! The breakfast, first class, the coffee is good and the service 2nd to none. All in all, everything I want first thing in the morning. They have turned me into a regular. Check it out! Oh! Lorry is a star!!
TQM 94/6

Went for drinks on a Friday night and I must say, the DJ was killing it. All musics were nicely done making us all dance like there is no tomorrow. The drinks were fine, I ordered the special cocktail (as per picture) but the bartender (I assume he’s new) made it way too bland – it tasted like ice water. Tonic was a bit off as well on a G&T. Good overall, would come back for the dance floor.
E L

A stunning bar/restaurant in Leigh St. Everything we ordered was amazing. Great looking place with a cool vibe. Can get a little noisy. Service was quite slow. I would definitely return as the food was great!
