We have always received excellent service at the North East Skin Cancer Clinic. The reception team are welcoming and efficient and the doctors are highly skilled. Dr Lynton Stephens is approachable, thorough and takes time to explain any necessary follow up appointments. We have been extremely happy with their professional service.

I booked through Hotdoc which was very easy to access. I saw Dianne Howski who was very friendly and after checking out my concerns and explained the biopsy procedure I will be having in a couple weeks. Receptionist staff also very friendly.

I went in for a skin check, choosing this place due to the good reviews. I booked in with Dr Jenn and wasn’t disappointed. He’s extremely fast but thorough and as a female, at no time did I feel uncomfortable. He addressed my questions very well, putting my mind at ease on areas I was concerned about, as well as explaining his answers so I completely understood what he meant. I had a great experience here. I saw Dr. Lynton Stephens, and he was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to examine everything carefully and even took photos of a few moles to monitor their growth over time. Great skin check – was asked if I had any concerns. Skin was checked thoroughly. I did have to wait 30 minutes for my appointment to be called – and it was for 9:15. I check at the 20 minute mark. I asked the receptionist when I’d be seen. I think surgery’s would go a long way to letting their patients know proactively when the doctor is running late. No biggie – would just be courteous and respectful.

I was very happy with my experience at Dermadocs. It was easy to make an appointment, everyone was very helpful and friendly. I had a full body skin cancer check and also a biopsy taken as well as a few small spots treated with dry ice. Dr Sonali Meena was very kind, professional and respectful. She explained everything well and I felt very comfortable with the whole procedure. I can happily recommend her.

Have been going to Dermadocs for a few years now. I had a full body check and then went back to remove non dangerous moles. Making an appearance is so easy, the staff are so nice and helpful. Dr Sonali Meena is so professional, explaining everything to you and advising what to expect. I would definitely recommend.

I was really impressed with the whole process having a skin cancer removed. The doctor and nurse were both very caring and put me at ease. The process was explained to me in detail and instructions for after care were detailed and clear.

Doctor was very thorough, talked through every spot on the body and compared photos taken of freckles and moles from previous appointments. Very happy with the service provided. Definitely recommend you visit. Full body check for adults was $210 (approx $90 back from Medicare), and full body check for kids was $97 (approx $40 back from Medicare). For women, the doctor has another female in the room too. Very professional.

Dr Martin and assistant Kathy are extremely kind, caring and considerate. Examinations and treatments are conducted with the utmost professionalism. Highest recommendation.

Very thorough and thoughtful. Totally professional and explains everything well. Dr Martin and staff have the patient’s best interests at the centre of everything they do. I have total confidence in them. Can spending 2 hours having something cut out of the back of a hand be enjoyable? YES… if Dr Martin and Nurse Sam are doing it. It was 2 hours of interesting discussion, good humoured banter and careful, professional care. Would I like to do it again? No, but if I had to I would choose them to do it.

I am on holiday in Adelaide from Scotland & my friend recommended that I have a skin check as we don’t have such an absolutely important service back home.

I booked in not really knowing what to expect. Well with my pale, freckly skin it is the best thing I could have done.

A thorough check from my scalp to the soles of my feet & so much advice moving forward for self-care. Lots of photos of moles etc were taken with very clear explanations.

I cant remember the doctor’s name, Dr A, but I tell you it was worth travelling over 10,000 miles to be a patient in such a wonderful clinic with such a passionate & kind staff.

You are a real character Dr A, bless you, as you made the process as comforting as possible with such positive energy.

The chaperone was so understanding too, such a welcoming ethos despite the severity of the checks & subject matter.

I used to go to the clinic at westlakes but since the woman Bianca who used to do my treatments moved I have followed her to Norwood. She is very informative when explaining what treatments I am doing with her and why she recommends them. Highly reccomend this clinic

I had issues with my accounts. I usually deal with a lady in Mt Barker, she’s amazing! But she was unavailable, so spoke to the business manager at Dulwich.
It was the worst experience, she was so rude. Kept talking over the top of me. I ended up hanging up on her.
My poor Mother had a terrible experience with her too. Its got to the point I never want to ring there, all the staff are so rude.
They are supposed to help patients.

I’m extremely disappointed with how my situation was handled from the very beginning. As a patient, I felt overlooked and not taken seriously. The receptionist was dismissive and unwelcoming from the moment I arrived with my referral. Dr. Wayte seemed disengaged and more focused on what was convenient for him rather than addressing my specific concerns and fears after my consultation.

I’m not someone who usually leaves negative reviews, but sadly, my experience reflects what others have also mentioned about this clinic. I paid $250 as a private patient and left feeling dismissed, unheard, and incredibly let down. It’s been one of the worst healthcare experiences I’ve had since living in Australia.

We have both been long term regular patients at this clinic for over a decade. We find staff to be courteous, listen to any concerns and appointments usually run on time. We have learnt to allow time prior to appointment as street parking can be challenging .

I had a very disappointing experience with Dermatology SA. After months of delays just to get an appointment, my referral being lost, and finally waiting until August for my booking, they ended up cancelling it at the last minute.

Yesterday while I was at work in a meeting, I received missed calls and a text saying my appointment with Dr Cho would be cancelled if I didn’t confirm by 12pm. I called back straight away at 10:01am — well before the deadline — only to be told my appointment had already been cancelled.

When I questioned this, the receptionist simply said the doctor is “sensitive” to patients not answering calls. She then said she could put me at 3pm the same day, I was shocked to know my appointment was canceled but agreed for the rebooking since it would be the same day. She put me on hold, a supervisor came back on later and told me that the 3pm spot was gone and I’d have to rebook for another day instead.

When I explained how unfair that was, she was very rude and blamed me for not answering, I explained that I was in a work meeting and their message indicated I had until 12 pm to confirm but she was dismissive and told me I can either rebook or go somewhere else.

After waiting months, being treated this way, and having my appointment taken from me unfairly, I decided I won’t go back and will find care elsewhere.

It was a surprising visit to Dermatology SA today. The care given by the doctor and nurses was supportive but the ‘”administration fee”” was not. When I had my first consultation , I was charged over $14 as an “administration fee” which I thought was high just to open a digital file. Today I had completed a treatment and was again charged an “” administration fee”” of over $40. When I enquired as to why, I was informed that each treatment account attracted 5% of the doctor’s fee as an administration fee”! A white notice near the desk was pointed out to me. This fee had to be paid separately . I was informed that large clinics were doing this! As I am to have further treatment, this administration fee of 5% will have to be paid again. I thought “overheads” were supposed to be built into the doctor’s fee as I have not
encountered this type of billing before in large or small clinics. Very disappointing.

Waste of time and money. Had a referral to a specific dermatologist that had been recommended to me. After triage was then informed I was seeing someone different and there was a six month wait.
I didn’t mind the wait as was a first time skin check and nothing urgent.
At the appointment, was in consulting room for only about 5 minutes, while a cursory look with a hand held lit device was done. She didn’t even tell me to remove my bra, under which I have 2 moles I had to point out to her. Made me feel like I’d wasted her time, but at least she got her $240 for very little work. I thought a first time check with a dermatologist would be wise, but at least have learned my lesson that perhaps a specialized skin check clinic is the way to go.

Visited this Clinic today. The staff were pleasant, helpful and thorough. Dr Czechowicz was friendly and put me at ease. Thoroughly recommend this Dr and practice.
