Salisbury Aquatic Centre

7.9

Salisbury Aquatic Centre presents a promising recreational space with both indoor and outdoor facilities. The outdoor pool area appears well-designed, offering a variety of aquatic activities. It’s evident that the centre caters to a range of ages, although some improvements could enhance the experience, particularly regarding seating options and cafe efficiency. The potential for a welcoming and enjoyable environment is certainly there.

To truly excel, the centre should focus on maintaining consistent standards regarding cleanliness and addressing safety concerns. Improvements in the cafe service speed and more visible efforts in keeping public restroomsclean would significantly contribute to visitor satisfaction. A renewed attention to detail in these areas would elevate the overall impression and solidify its position as a valued community asset.

Has potential and looks good BUT No seating outside apart from a bench in the splash park and bench in front of the slides. There is a retaining wall you can sit on i guess. If your elderly or in need take your own(if allowed) There is a grass area but has steps to access it and its a hill so not good for the unsteady. The indoor pool was nice but kicked out for an exercise class and the second pool had a small roped off lane area for public play. There is some bench seating inside. The large pool outdoors is clean and nice but starts at 1.5 and goes to 1.8. so suited to an older child . There is no toddle pool. Now the cafeteria, it was not busy at all and i still waited over 25 mins for a bag of hot chips. So overall its nice and has ample shade but needs table n chairs plus quicker turn around at the cafe. Mabey in time they will add seating. I will bring the kids back and the slides were a hit but def bring our chairs and some snacks next time.

My small human and I love coming to the centre for lessons and casually swimming. She has flourished swimming and the outside area is fantastic for her. The life gaurds have been overall pretty friendly and responsive when we've been around. Also going in the afternoon on a weekday outside is less busy (so far) and we've been able to just relax and enjoy ourselves.

This place has lots of potential but the people who built it & the lot running it are brainless. The toilets are always filthy. Never seen a cleaner in there ever. The tiles around the pools both inside & out are dangerously slippery with or without shoes. The outdoor pool has a step at the end of the entry ramp/stairs with zero warning. Couldn’t even tile it a different colour. The amount of people I’ve seen miss or trip over that single step is countless. The lifeguards are either rude & on a power trip, telling people (including toddlers) off for every minor thing, or they’re 16 & let the place become a free for all. Manager told us it’s because "they’re young & don’t have the confidence to speak to people" so don’t expect them to save you if you get into trouble! The cafe is EXTREMELY slow & pretty over priced. It’s a standard 30 minute wait for some hot chips on a quiet day. Almost $7 for a basic icecream from the freezer. Be prepared to wait in line for 20 minutes only to be told when you finally get to the counter that the kitchen is closed. Staff have the personality of a blowfly. Lastly, out of the dozen or so times we’ve been this summer, at least half our visits have been ruined or cut short because some grub has defecated in the pool & they’ve had to close it. Now I understand this isn’t the facility’s fault, it’s the filthy general public who don’t care about anyone except themselves. But never in my 41 years have I ever experienced people pooping in the pools as consistently as they do at Salisbury pools. It’s just happened again this afternoon (17/4). It’s really revolting & puts you off going back.

Had a wonderful time at the newly renovated swimming centre. The gym is amazing and enjoyed my first workout. I love the nice roomy gym with plenty of individual change rooms, showers and bathrooms. There's a virtual class area, weights and cardio areas. I love the nice big window area, it really brightens up the gym. The machines are all top of the range and there is plenty of each. The lockers are large enough to fit all your belongings including my big gym bag.

This place looked better as it seemed. Has a lot of potential to bring in more frequent customers or even members by opening a sauna and a spa. I am sure there are a lot of people like me that would love to see a sauna and a spa. I was so excited about this place as I live only 2 minutes drive but as soon as I heard it doesn’t have sauna and spa like every aquatic centres should, I was really disappointed. Please take this feedback into consideration. (Direct message to owner, if you’re wondering why this place isn’t as busy compared to other aquatic centres in Adelaide, then maybe take this review as an opportunity to make this change!! But as saying this. The staff are amazing with a good equipped gym. Thank you!

I haven't been to a better Aquatic Centre before. There is a water playground that is so much fun with a few small slides and if you spend a bit more you get access to 3 giant slides that look amazing. There's an indoor pool and an outdoor one and they serve food and drinks as well.
