Staff in gym and fitness classes are fab, making sure that you are comfortable and adapt exercises accordingly. Swimming trainers for my son also great. Also my son does the water polo and Ollie, Matthew, Ryan and Corban and fantastic making the sessions fun and include everyone. Great place. Paula at swim info always happy to help and greet us. Great place

I’ve attended this centre for myself and friends to swim, for work with a very large OSHC group (115 children) and most recently with my young son for his hydro sessions. This place is exceptional with clean facilities, safety of life guards and good food and drinks. The only downside for me is the tricky parking and waiting in a long line just to be able to walk through when my son arrives for his hydro sessions.

Beautiful pool nice and warm in winter to take toddlers in. Good entry fees and quality lockers. One tough part was we were so warm in the pool area, that when we went into the toilet obviously being Adelaide winter it was incredibly freezing, we almost went into shock trying to do a wee and getting toddler out of her swimming gear. It was an extreme temperature change. Hard to combat and not upset with the centre but it was a part of the experience.... The changing areas had heaters though

This afternoon we visited the centre at 2.30pm. My husband is disabled and needs to walk on crutches. We have been attending the pool twice a week for months now for rehab. I have to assist him with changing and ensure that he does not slip on the floor due to his disability. Today the staff member behind the counter (older lady) was extremely rude and stopped me from going through without paying. We said that we have never had to pay before for a carer to simply sit there for 20 minutes. She said that she is cracking down on this and spectators must pay. It was the manner in which she went about this that frustrated us - she looked at me the whole time while my husband paid and did not ask if I was going in (it was pretty obvious as I was holding his back and standing next to him). She waited until I walked through the gates and then lifted her arm in the air and yelled "excuse me you can't go in without paying" which caused a scene. Someone with empathy and good customer service skills would have dealt with the situation at the counter and explained in a kind way that the policy had changed - even offered to start the payment from the next visit to ensure customer loyalty. We wouldn't have had a problem if the issue was handled appropriately and not rudely - yelling in front of everyone like we had committed a crime. We left the centre in disgust without using the pool - carers and people with disabilities should not be treated this way. The policy is ridiculous when disabled people obviously need assistance. Especially when they have been in traumatic accidents and struggle financially due to their circumstances. My husband was so offended by the rudeness of enforcing the policy that he will not be returning out of principle and now cannot undergo the rehab that he needs. There was no empathy from the staff member in question. I have edited this post after two weeks as I also sent an email of complaint to the YMCA and have not received a response or acknowledgement. It appears that even management do not follow up with customer service complaints.

I would not recommend this centre, especially not for multiple birth families. Not only it's expensive, there's never enough family change room. When I raised this issue, they weren't very helpful, we ended up continuing to find our entire family with under two twin toddlers waiting a long time out in our wet swimwear. The worse are their admin and finance people. At the beginning, I did the registration online but weren't ready to start our first lessons because my husband and I weren't able to change our work schedules so we could both be available for the twins, I notifed them of our in abilitiesto make it to lessons by making absent online. They gave us such a hard time when we eventually made it there for our first time. The end was worse, I told them that the weather is getting too cold, our babies don't enjoy it anymore, we wanted to put a pause on the direct debit until it's warmer (the heated pool was never warm enough). They told us that's not possible, we'd just have to cancel and reenroll later, but they would have to take two more debits from our account for each of our twins, and advised we have two weeks after that before they deactivate our passes. My husband had to travel for work the two weeks from when we talked to them, and we had some unused/make-up lessons from previous family travel also. We were pressured to booked the twins in twice each week straight after us finishing work and our babies picked up from childcare. Even so, by the time our passes got deactivated, the twins each still had two unclaimed make-up lessons, valid till mid September from memory. Last night (20/08/2025), when I tried to book these in for our twins, intending to request access at entrance as we still had lessons to attend, but they have already removed these unused make-up lessons from our member portal.

Staffs are friendly and helpful, swimming pool is great but always busy, you come to the pool and staffs are busy no idea who to ask which lane is for public use. Female change room only two available so imagine the line plus people using them takes forever like they are taking shower in their home. Please be mindful to others waiting for you finish. Just putting us off, hopefully the new change rooms will finish soon.
