When I first joined CrossFit TRG in 2020 for an 8-week challenge, I just wanted to get fit. What I found was so much more. The incredible energy and welcoming environment made it easy to create a consistent fitness routine that I actually look forward to after a long day. The members have become a close-knit group of friends, and the coaches have become true mentors who consistently motivate me to be better. On top of the amazing community, the spacious facility, convenient location, and great equipment are unmatched. I can’t recommend this gym or its staff highly enough.

I can’t say enough good things about my CrossFit gym. From the moment I walked in, I felt like part of a family. The sense of community at TRG is incredible, and the support from the coaches and fellow members is unwavering. The gym truly feels like my second home, where I am not just working out but also building lasting relationships. I DO NOT recommend CrossFit TRG if you prefer to train alone, stay stagnant, and avoid top-notch coaching. But if you want a gym where community drives you, coaches truly support you, and consistency leads to real progress, then this is exactly where you need to be. Crossfit TRG made me the most consistent I’ve ever been with training, and I’d recommend this place a hundred times over. ️

I started with TRG in August 2021, not because I wanted loose weight but I was struggling with my mental health. I still remember the words when I went to see Winston (owner)”you drove to TRG on your own to fix yourself, now no one can stop you”

Within 2 weeks I could see and feel the major changes.

One year later what I have achieved so far-

*Exceptional mental health.
*Lost about 5kg.

With the help of amazing coaches Maple, Chris, Ned and Lucas I got into my dream job (Defence Force). because I was so consitence and worked hard I built my strength I managed to achieve what I wanted to become in my life since I was young.

TRG has such an amazing vibe. Everyone encourage and help each other to do better everyday and become a best version of ourselves.

Cannot thank you enough to My Beautiful TRG FAM.

All the best to our ROCKSTARS (TRG Coaches) for future adventures.

Forever thankful.

I’ve been participating in CrossFit training at TRG Mawson Lakes, SA for the past three years, and the experience has been transformative. The workouts are challenging and varied, ensuring that every session is unique and engaging.
The coaches (Maple, Chris, Lucas, Tim, Alison & Boss Winston) are knowledgeable and supportive, providing personalised guidance to help improve technique and avoid injuries.
The sense of community is incredible – everyone is encouraging, and the camaraderie is motivating. Not only have I seen significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness, but I’ve also developed a healthier mindset towards exercise and well-being. CrossFit has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to push their limits and achieve their fitness goals.

TRG is more than just a gym, it’s a family. The coaches are great, they push you, but are also supportive, give you guidance, and help keep you motivated, both during classes, and just showing up in general, or helping you achieve a certain goals you have. Members are also supportive, and friendly, it’s about doing your best, not being the best.

There is something magical about those yellow walls, and the music blaring out of the speakers, and the coaches energy and enthusiasm for what they do, that can make all the worries of the outside world disappear, even if it is only for an hour, while you do the workout, focusing on the movements, keeping count, and keeping going.

There’s heaps of classes in the timetable to choose from, workouts are always challenging but scalable to fit to everyone’s needs, no matter your fitness level, capability, or limitations.

It’s a great place to workout, get fit and stay healthy, relieve some of life’s stresses, and make friends all at the same time.

And their recovery room, with massage chairs, Netflix, and Normatec compression boots, is a great way to relax and recover after a tough session.

I’m glad I found TRG, it really is a great place to train.

Where do I start.. I am from Sydney and started watching/following Professor Tom on their YouTube channel ‘The Grappling Academy’ when I started my jiu-jitsu journey in 2016. You just know a good coach/teacher when you see one. I told my wife that I would love to visit his school one day and learn from him. This week, my awesome wife flew me to Adelaide for a short trip and got me a bunch of private lessons from this amazing teacher. All I can say is, all his current students are very lucky to have someone like him teach, be available to them and absorb his wisdom. For anyone thinking of learning a great self-defense art or just want to get healthier, you need to try South Coast BJJ & MMA. You will not find a better teacher and he is world class level in my opinion.

My son started going to South Coast BJJ & MMA kids classes over 6 years ago.
From the first day at age 7 he was welcomed and encouraged by all at the club especially Coach Tom. At age 14 he is now taking adult classes and has competed in several kids tournaments along the way! His confidence and self esteem has grown and is continuing to grow. I would take my son to his lessons twice a week and watch and had a yearning to take to the mats but felt i was to old (63). I had a discussion with Coach Tom late last year and explained how i felt and he suggested i just give it a go and see how i felt. Bottom line is apart from being able to do something with my son that we both enjoy i have found a great group of people who all show so much respect and are so humble about their achievements . The fantastic people you meet there are all a reflection of the coaches and clubs genuine kindness and care for its members. I would and have recommended this club for anyone who is thinking of taking up a martial arts sport or just want to get fit while meeting really great people.

Tom is a excellent coach structuring each week with essential principles and themes. There is a strong second tier of knowledgeable and experienced students who’s selfless encouragement help all the students become better. The best part is the family atmosphere. It is a safe and happy place where students of all abilities, builds and ages can train. BJJ can be challenging for the new student. But you will be mentally more resilient the longer you keep going. Tom is there to guide you through that journey, which will be as unique as you are.

I’ve attempted to write this review several times but have struggled to find the words that best describe how amazing this club is. So I thought I would share my BJJ journey to show the impact these wonderful people have had on my progress so far. I started my journey roughly 5 years ago after a family friend brought me along to one of the many classes. This was a difficult part in my life as the year prior my father had passed away from cancer. He was a massive part of my life and martial arts journey up to that point. I was lost and very angry at the world for what had happened. After my first class I felt like I had found apart of myself I thought was lost, I was instantly hooked. Even though my journey has been inconsistent with old injuries, illness and processing grief I was always welcomed with smiles as if I’d never been away. The environment created by Professor Tom and the many members of South Coast is truly amazing. It has allowed me to heal from the loss of my father and find parts of myself thought lost. The hardest part about starting your BJJ journey is stepping through the door, I would encourage those to take that step as you never know of the possibilities created in doing so. Even reading back on this I still feel it doesn’t describe how amazing and welcoming this club is. I look forward to continuing my BJJ journey with South Coast for many years to come.

I have joined the over 60s strength training. I have now been to 4 one hour sessions. The groups are small normally 10 and I only go Mondays. Brooke is great at showing and explaining exercises. The groups are lovely…walk in an you get a nice hi and smiles from everyone. Could I do the exercises on my own. Can, but it is nice to have the encouragement

I’ve been attending STRONG Pilates for a few months now, and it’s hands down one of the best workouts I’ve ever done. The combination of reformer Pilates and cardio bursts on the rower/bike keeps every class dynamic, challenging, and super effective.

The instructors are knowledgeable, motivating, and really attentive to form. I love that every session is different, so it never feels repetitive. The studio itself is always clean, well-equipped, and has a great atmosphere — high energy but still welcoming.

Whether you’re a Pilates regular or looking for a fresh way to train, I highly recommend giving STRONG a go. You’ll feel the burn, but in the best way possible

Absolutely obsessed with this studio…
This place has completely transformed how I feel about fitness, my mom core is ACTIVATED. The glute-focused days are my absolute favourite — I leave feeling strong, sculpted, and totally energised. The instructors are truly 5 stars across the board — knowledgeable, motivating, and always bringing great vibes to every class. Special shout out to Kenzie and Nicola who consistently go above and beyond to make each session fun and challenging.
Okay, I’ll admit it… I still don’t love the erg (who does?!), but everything else more than makes up for it. The studio is clean, welcoming, and has such a supportive community. If you’re thinking about trying Pilates, this is the place to be. Highly recommend, especially for the cold towel at the end of each workout…

I’ve been going to STRONG for almost two years now, and it’s been such a consistent highlight in my routine. The combination of Pilates with erg efforts on the bikes and rowers is a game changer and keeps the workouts challenging in all the right ways.

The eucalyptus towels at the end of each class is my favourite little thing and my key motivation at times (HAHAH).

The instructors genuinely care, not just about how you move in the studio, but about you as a person. They’re knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to tailor sessions to your ability so you get the most out of every workout.

There’s also a real sense of community at STRONG. The environment is welcoming and inclusive, and it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to.

I’m on the fitness passport and dropped in on a weekday to purchase a pass to use the facilities outside of staffed hours. Very friendly staff, super easy process. First and last day used the basement location as I was doing some lifting and my metcons needed minimal space. Used the east adelaide location on the middle visit as I needed more space. Both gyms have everything you need if you’re happy to make some adaptations to your plans. Will definitely use again when I’m in the area.

Nice hole in the wall style gym with some modern trappings, cool atmosphere, iron plates are always a bonus to any gym and some equipment that you don’t also get everywhere like a belt squat.

I went to Tessa’s strong flow class on Sunday morning. She began the class explaining that we need to open up our chest, neck and shoulder muscles to counteract the effects of the hunching over we do when looking at devices. That evening at our family Mothers Day dinner, my mother said to my son (who was looking at his phone !) you are looking a bit round shouldered! This led me to tell everyone at our gathering what I had learnt in Tessa’s class. I love the way the Human.Kind experience benefits not just my body but also my mind and general outlook on life.

Joining this CrossFit gym has been a game-changer for me. Unlike my previous gym experience, where I often found myself waiting and not pushing hard enough, here I’m fully engaged in every class. Each session is well-structured, with coaches ensuring proper form while encouraging us to push our limits. I’ve gained noticeable strength, fitness, and endurance—and I truly enjoy every workout.

Thank you Lucas for making me feel welcome for my 1st workout today with you.
You are a fair coach who knew the perfect time to make me work that bit harder, and at the same time making sure the movement involved with each stage was correct and safe.
You have a good sense of humour which made the class roll along quicker.
Thank you for introducing me to other coaches and members.
I shall be back!!

CrossFit Proficient is the perfect mix of community and pushing you mentally and physically. I have done things I never thought I could do thanks to the guidance of the coaches and encouragement from others.
Coaches Jesse, Bianca and Lucas meet you where you are at and help you improve, no matter your starting point.
When I stopped playing netball I didn’t think I’d find anything I could do with an older body that I’d look forward to the way I did netball. But this gym became that.
My physical and mental health is so much better for having joined CrossFit Proficient. Thankyou to all coaches and the community for making it what it is!

I was visiting from interstate and needed a place to work out—CrossFit Proficient was the perfect choice! Jesse, Bianca, and Tyler were incredibly welcoming and experienced coaches, ensuring each workout was well-structured with a full-body focus, including warm-ups and cooldowns. The regulars made me feel right at home with great laughs, banter, and a shared commitment to fitness. I also did personal training sessions with Lucas to refine specific CrossFit skills, and he was fantastic—flexible around my work hours and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a supportive and professional CrossFit community!

I mistakenly purchased a pass for the wrong branch over the phone. I realised my mistake before taking any classes but they refused to refund me or transfer my pass to the correct location. It’s within their power to provide a refund but they decided to keep my money.

I’m really enjoying my experience at Studio Pilates. It is the perfect combination of strength and resistance training I needed in my routine to hit my fitness goals. All the instructors are amazing and pay attention to each individual’s posture despite it being a group session. The equipments are clean and the vibe is spot on!
I would love for some afternoon sessions to become available just so I can get myself in an extra day in the week.

Nice studio and great instructors. Liked the tv screens showing exercises. Would prefer more time spent on each individual exercise to get correct form as instructor may be helping other clients. Did not like the loud music.

All the instructors at Norwood Studio Pilates are so kind and supportive. I’m still building my strength, but I’m always surprised at how quickly my body recovers after a class! Hoping the Friday afternoon classes come back, it’s always good to have a boost before the weekend. Some of the head rests are a bit cracked and worn, but otherwise all the equipment is in good condition.

I’ve just started at Studio Pilates in Norwood. I’ve done 7 classes, and I love it. I didn’t know beforehand if it would be for me, but I wish I’d started years ago. I’m a bit unco so it will take me some time to really get on top of it, but I believe I improve every session, and I see and feel the benefits already. The instructors are great and take time to get you doing the exercise correctly, all done with a smile too. Really happy, really enjoying it. Feeling great. Highly recommended.

I’m joined here 2 months ago, on hearing awesome things about Rob & Jenna. We started with an assessment & goals that I wanted to achieve which is being pain free from my hip injury!

After once a week session I’ve come to minimal pain in my daily work & built some strength to be normal again. I’m keen to be PAIN Free!

Thanks Guys!

Staff are amazing, very welcoming culture. No judgement what so ever, no matter what you look like or current abilities. I do 1 on 1 and just started group classes. Both amazing. Other members are very nice and welcoming, and celebrate any win you have with you. I love that there are no mirrors as well it reduces that stress of looking at yourself, as well as trusting your body and that it knows what it’s doing.

A small business that truely values its community. The coaches are exceptional and their range of knowledge and care is above all else – they assisted me with injury and working within my limits.
I got stronger, faster and made the bestest of friends. I am so sad to be leaving but this gym will be my first stop when I move back to Adelaide.

After injuring my knee playing footy, I sought numerous opinions from doctors and physiotherapists, but none of their recommendations suited my needs, as I wanted to avoid surgery. That’s when I came across Rob at FIIT Project, who had extensive experience in knee injuries and rehabilitation. Rob used practical techniques to help me move differently and redistributed the load across other areas of my body, which relieved pressure on my knee. He also provided me with precise exercises to do at home, which I continue to follow.

After finishing football, I never thought I’d be able to run again. Recently, however, I completed my first 10km run without any pain. Since our sessions, I’ve signed up for group classes three times a week. What I love about Rob and Jenna is how much they care about my injuries and how they tailor workouts to my needs. With their knowledge, scaling exercises is a breeze, and I know I can walk into the gym, complete any prescribed workout, and continue working toward my goals—all while enjoying a new way of exercising.

Thanks to my foundation sessions (3 x 1-on-1), I feel comfortable and confident in movements I had never tried before. Although I no longer have my footy community, I can confidently say that the community at FIIT Project has been the best I’ve experienced.

After six months at FIIT Project I am stronger and fitter than I have been in a long time. Returning from injury, my confidence and motivation were quite low and I needed something to get me back on track. Finding knowledgeable coaches, this great community and variety in the sessions has kept me consistent and hitting new goals. A big thanks to Rob and Jenna and the whole crew for embracing me as a new member in such a short time.

Fiit Project are definitely different to all other gyms that I have been to and I’m so glad I’ve joined.
They will modify any movement to suit your needs (Injury, rehab, starting out). For the first time in 6 years, I have been able to exercise properly without setting myself back. They listen to your needs and are consistent with modifying what you need to continue training. Plus they are great people!! Highly recommend.

Highly recommend. Great training school!
Both my boys attend Crocodile Martial Arts and we are more than happy. The memberships are good value and flexible, with classes running 5 days a week. You don’t need to commit or book in to classes, which makes it easy and convenient for busy families. There are 2 beautiful dojos which are clean, spacious and use quality equipment. The halls are decked with memorabilia, which demonstrate the years of hard work, level of commitment, skill, experience and knowledge that goes in to making this academy so great! The trainers are kind, experienced with children and fair. The staff are funny, friendly and accommodating. The trainer to student ratio is excellent. Students receive regular progress recognition, which keeps them motivated and enthusiastic. My boys have come so far in just a year and I couldn’t be prouder! We love supporting small family businesses and feel privileged to be part of the crocodile community.
