I’d like to make a comment though about the conditions Gianna and Rohan work in. There is an offensive odour in the office. Normally I would not comment on something like this but it’s so noticeable. It smelt like rodents to me and I believe there is a long standing problem in the basement. It would be really good if the building owner would ensure this was properly dealt with.

Dear Commonwealth Bank team,

I have been a Commonwealth Bank customer for over two and a half years, and unfortunately, during this time, my account has been blocked twice without any prior notice. These situations have caused me significant inconvenience.

On both occasions, I was caught off guard when trying to make a purchase, only to find that my card had been declined — despite having sufficient funds in my account. The most recent incident happened while I was at the supermarket, which led to an embarrassing situation when I was unable to complete my payment.

Additionally, the account block disrupted my automatic debit payments, resulting in late fees and interest charges that could have been avoided. To resolve the issue, I had to visit a branch during business hours, which directly interfered with my work schedule.

What made the situation even more frustrating was being asked to answer a security question that I have no knowledge of and do not recall ever setting up. This further delays the process and adds unnecessary stress when all I want is to regain access to my own account.

I fully understand the importance of security measures, but I believe the way these processes are handled could be much more transparent, efficient, and respectful of customers’ time. A simple prior notification or a secure and quicker way to unlock the account — without needing to visit a branch — would already make a big difference.

I truly hope this feedback can contribute to improvements in your customer service and internal systems.
