We had a newborn photo shoot today at Kate’s beautiful studio space, which was super easy going, even with two kids. The photos Kate captured of our little family are so gorgeous, we love them all!

Luke was nothing short of amazing. He made us all so comfortable and all our guests commented on how brilliant he was on the day. The photos are just insane, we could not be happier! It was extremely hot on our wedding day (40 degrees) but Luke kept everyone in such a good mood with his positive attitude and excellent coordination when taking photographs (of 170 people!). Luke is 110% the man that you want to shoot your wedding.
From the very first email, without even meeting him I knew I had to have Luke shoot our wedding. Back when COVID first hit was when we started planning to meeting all out vendors was a real issue. Luke was an amazing help throughout the whole process, even linking up up with a videographer.
On the day Luke was simply party of the family and mixed with all of our guests like he had known them forever, many still raving about how amazing he is. He worked so hard to capture absolutely every moment, from the picture perfect Hollywood love moments to the Candid shots. The quality of his phots are just amazing! We were both so nervous about taking photos, but Luke made every moment fun and we all had plenty on laughs together, He has provided us with so many memories of the fun moments on our big day that we will cherish for a life time.

I highly recommend Luke and cannot wait to begin creating out Wedding Album with him and hopefully in the near future we can use Luke again or see him at friends weddings 🙂

Luke is the man you want to shoot your Wedding! The quality of his shots were epic and he has the perfect mix of professionalism and affability. On the day, he seamlessly integrated into the festivities and worked tirelessly, and as a result he was able to capture both the “Hollywood moments” but also so many candid shots that perfectly captured all the memories, moments and personalities of our big day.

Also highly recommend investing in a Wedding Album which are “glossy bookshop” quality and such a great keepsake for the day.

Luke did an amazing job at capturing the moments of our wedding perfectly! He had a way of making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed, which really shows in the photographs. I have no idea how I’m going to pick photos for our album because they are all AMAZING and perfect. He really captured the scenery and atmosphere of the wedding too. We are so happy, highly recommend.

I had an extremely terrible experience with a baby photoshoot session at this studio.

It all started with an email claiming we had received a “gift Professional Photo Session valued at $500” after attending the Baby Expo. That sounded nice, but once we got there, everything went downhill.

Although David, the photographer, was very friendly and nice during the shoot, the overall experience and outcome were extremely disappointing.

The photographer was careless and completely unprofessional with newborn photography. He clearly had no real experience handling babies. The way he wrapped my baby was awful – he used such thin fabric that you could even see the diaper through it, and he didn’t even notice. Even though I brought sample photos of the style I wanted, he basically just copied them with no creativity or effort of his own. Honestly, the pictures I take at home with my phone look better than what he produced.

Then came the so-called “selection session.” What a waste of time. He dumped 200–300 unremarkable photos on us and pressured us to pick some, only to reveal a shockingly overpriced menu. $250 for just ONE image? Outrageous. When we showed no interest, he pushed “special deals” and discounts, but it was pointless — we only ended up buying one single photo. I deeply regret not walking away at that point.

To make matters worse, it took him a whole month to send us that “high resolution image.” The quality? Honestly worse than an iPhone shot, despite supposedly being “edited.”

On top of that, he said we would also get one complimentary printed photo (size 5×7). I asked if it could just be emailed to us instead — since it’s easier to store and, despite the poor quality, at least I wanted one or two photos as keepsakes after wasting two sessions there. But when I emailed to request this, he turned around and said we would have to pay another $250 if we wanted that image sent digitally. At that point it was crystal clear: this studio has no heart, no professionalism, only a desire to squeeze as much money as possible from their clients. Absolutely shameful.

This was, without doubt, the worst photo studio experience I’ve ever had. If you want beautiful, memorable photos of your baby without wasting money, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This place is nothing but disappointment and overpricing.
If you look at a few other 1-star reviews of this studio, you’ll see that several people have had similar disappointing experiences with the Newborn Baby Session at Avalon. We will definitely never return and do not recommend this studio to anyone!

Jon was the photographer at my surprise proposal. He was able to capture the entire event in the most beautiful and magical way. I have had film developed many times from Adelaide Photo Factory and have never been happier with a company’s service. I live rurally and send my rolls of film over the post, pay for it over the phone and receive it back in a matter of less than a week. Crazy to think when other competitive company’s give a month+ wait for films to be developed. Prices are fair and customer service is always great. 10/10!

I got in contact with Danielle via a post on Facebook looking for dogs to be models. Of course I wanted to help out and also get some beautiful photographs but was not expecting to build a positive relationship with such a wonderful person like Dani. She was so engaging with Finn and ultimately got some gorgeous photos that I will cherish forever. At the viewing appointment I had trouble choosing what photos I wanted but one stood out amongst the rest which we both fell in love with. I will definitely be using Danis amazing photography eyes again and recommend her to anyone wanting to capture a fond memory.
