The merger of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia was blessed by the necessary legislation in May 2024. The new institution with new name “Adelaide University” will formally open on 1 Janaury 2026.

Adelaide has truly impressed me with its remarkable architectural beauty. The University of Adelaide, along with the surrounding buildings, showcases a rich blend of historical and artistic design that is unparalleled. In comparison, I feel that Adelaide’s frequency of stunning architectural works within a given area surpasses that of Melbourne. This reflects the exceptional artistic vision and dedication of those who built the city during its early days.

Another fascinating aspect of Adelaide is its unique flora. I came across a type of leaf that stands out with its large size and rigid structure, which allows it to be split easily lengthwise. It’s something I’ve never encountered in Melbourne and adds to the city’s charm and distinctiveness. Adelaide is a city that surprises you with its attention to detail, both in its urban design and natural environment.

Good university with really good architecture. The environment really support for study, discussion, and research. There’s many faculties and study program with many buildings. There’s musholla also for Muslim to sholat. The musholla is clean and comfortable.

Prestigious university with a beautiful admixture of modern and neoclassical buildings

Building wise, Uni Adelaide offers heritage buildings with good maintenance. It is beautiful, especially the old Barr Smith library. It also offers a wide array of books and jurnal both online and offline. However as an internasional student, I expect something better in term of teaching quality. Overall, it is a good university with a neat but complete facilities.

We went to the 2025 open day and were blown away by the facilities, friendliness of the staff and volunteers and the architecture. Very hard to fault the place at all and we look forward to the opportunity to send our daughter there.

I recently completed the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design at Aspen College, and it was a valuable learning experience. The trainers were highly experienced and always willing to support students throughout the course. The curriculum was practical and aligned well with industry standards, giving me hands-on experience with the software and tools used in the field. The college staff was also helpful and professional, making the overall journey smooth. I feel well-prepared to enter the workforce with the skills and confidence gained from this course. I would definitely recommend Aspen College to others looking to pursue a career in civil construction design.

It was great experience by me, the college is very good and staff is very knowledgeable as well as loyal. The college classes are very clean. I have completed my cert 3 in this college. Now I am starting my cert 4.

If you ask them if they could contact someone within university they will ask to send an email. Making the process lengthy and not so student friendly. Also be prepared for 700 different excuses given by the campus central team. You people are running university, provide a better care for student with mental health problems. Your policies and approaches need to be student oriented. Student should be in the centre of all. Also, if you are on paid position at campus Central then it’s your responsibility to provide answers and contact other departments on behalf of students. I came to you cause I was not able to contact respected XYZ person. Instead of googling stuff online; give actual attention to student needs.

Im an agent and this uni will be your nightmare. When processing refund to student, other uni will verify student identities then working with bank/ money transferring organisations to make it smooth, however, UniSa works like: announce to bank/ money transferring organisations that student A wants to get refund, then student A has to work with bank again. That is a damaged to our reputation when our customers have to wait more than 20 working day to get just 20k Aud back. What a shame!!!

A well equipped, modern University campus with super fast internet/WiFi network. The architectural design is simply amazing!

A quite good place to study! There are good facilities: computers, microwave, cold water, vending machine, air conditioning, high speed WiFi. Hope some students can eat foods with big smell at kitchen area rather than studying area.
Besides, the enrollment assistants are very nice!

I’ve had Naveen as a teacher. He’s an excellent chef and teacher. He loves what he does and supports the students. If you show interest, he’ll answer all your questions. He’s very knowledgeable.

I had a privilege to work with Naveen sir. His love for cooking is just contagious! His energy lit up the place, pushing us all to learn, try new things, and have an unforgettable time. Not just University learning environment, corporate space can be booked for conferences, training learning and team building events.
The open spaces and rooms are modern but the not great with noise. Great kitchen facilities, has a games room to chill with a billiards table and friendly staff available.

Torrens University Australia is a university that prides itself on flexible, industry-oriented learning, high student satisfaction, and equity and innovation. It is particularly attractive among students who are interested in a practical education and various modalities of delivery (online, blended, campus-based). However, as a profit making university, its prestige and ranking is lower in comparison to the traditional public university. These administrative snags and program-wide experiences indicate that it would be prudent to collect some first-hand information to your particular area of interest.

Hub Central at the University of Adelaide is one of my favorite places to study or hang out on campus. The environment is incredibly comfortable and designed to foster focus and collaboration. Whether you’re studying solo or working on a group assignment, it’s easy to find a spot that suits your needs. The atmosphere strikes a great balance — it feels studious without being too quiet or stiff.

The G floor is especially inviting for casual meetups. It’s a perfect place to grab a coffee with friends, take a break between classes, or just relax. The seating is varied and cozy, and there’s usually a good amount of natural light during the day.

In terms of facilities, Hub Central is well-equipped. There are microwaves available if you want to heat up your own food, which is super convenient for students who bring lunch from home. There are even board games and relaxed areas for winding down after a long study session.

Overall, Hub Central offers a great blend of productivity and comfort. It’s more than just a study space — it’s a student hub in the truest sense, where learning, socializing, and taking breaks all come together seamlessly. Definitely a spot worth visiting regularly if you’re on campus.

I really like studying in Hub Central, it is always active, allowing some level of discussion, but still usually not to noisy for independent study.
Desk spots can be really produced during main semester at daytime though. But it make sense as this is a nice and warm place in winter, and a cool place in summer.
One important thing for students and everyone who like to study here to know is that although it is a 24-hour place, student card is required after 7 pm until 7 am the next day.
Also, sleep is not allowed, likely for a health and security reason.

A great meeting place. Quite noisy but it’s a good kind of noise. Good coffee, good atmosphere but not a place for transcendental meditation or study.

I just want to mention the always lovely staff in The General and their excellent $2 coffee or hot chocolate deal. It has helped me survive through all kinds of trials and tribulations at uni, and it’s pretty close to the Napier buildings which most of us Arts faculty students end up regularly passing through.

Also they sold me an umbrella with 2 years warranty. What? Umbrella warranty?! Amazing.

My fella and I thoroughly enjoy our breakfast at Holy Addiction located in the Uni Hub. The two baristas, Sophie and Alex were friendly and efficient. We loved the beautiful bagels, muffins and coffee. 10/10

I’ve had a really good experience studying IT (telecommunications ) course at Abbey College. The content is practical and industry-relevant, which really helps build skills that matter. Thanks also to the trainers Mike and Raj , they’re both knowledgeable, approachable, and make the classes engaging and easy to follow. I’ve learned so much thanks to their guidance.

i recently completed my certificate IV in automotive mechanical diagnosis from AAIC. i have had excellent experience at college for last 3 years. All the trainers are very good with over 30 years experience in the industry. i learnt a lot from them. both theory and practical are conducted professionally . i have had great exposure to work on variety of cars in fully equipped workshops. loved the experience of industry placements provided by my college at a very professional and busy mechanical workshop.

I have recently completed certificate 3 in commercial cookery from AAIC and it has been very good learning experience. They have excellent trainers and excellent kitchen premises. I highly recommended to everyone looking for studying commercial cookery.

My experience at AAIC college has been very good. I moved from Sydney six months back and I am very happy that I took admission in AAIC. The trainers are very experienced and guide us properly in both theory and practicals. AAIC has an excellent kitchen which is fully-equipped. Not only my understanding of commercial cookery has improved, I have also gained confidence in communication because of my regular interaction with Australian trainers.

Pathetic. Applied to study Accounting degree end of 2024 – bearing in mind I was accepted at NMU for BCOM IT but changed to LLB and recieved degree in 2015. They rejected my application but did not give any reason besides “does not meet minimum requirements”. I simply asked what requirements did I not meet – I have not received a single email or communication back since. It has been 3 months or so.

It is a good campus with the heritage building and the history. It has a good environment, close to the Botanic Gardens, Zoo
and many other facilities nearby. However, it is a bit difficult to navigate and can be lost very easily in the building and different naming systems if you are unfamiliar. For example, if you are visiting the library building, you have to entre from the rare, if you entre at the front, it is a different building. In addition, if you enter the library, and you thought that it is the ground floor, but it is the third floor already for some reasons. For some buildings, there are a lot of stairs, and it is not really wheelchair friendly. It is shame that there is no book shop anymore for such a good university.

I would give not even zero negative to unisa…. Too much discrimination and politics inside and lots of favouritism, I between staff and students… really worstest in the world … not even in Australia but worldwide worstest…. Can’t express at all… lack of communication… …unprofessional… etc….

Hopeless university for study and work. Discrimination and targeting people is something this uni is known for. Worst of all people of this university are very unprofessional and revengeful. Was a student here was targeted and I know of people who work here that have been treated badly. Zero stars.

I stayed here for about two weeks. I lived in the 4 room shared unit and my experience here was excellent.

Entering The Village, you will be greeted by friendly staff. They were exceptionally trained to provide us with any help related to living and adjusting to the place.

Going to the apartment, my first impression is how proportionately sized the rooms were. The space isn’t too cramped nor is it too big. All the amenities were also provided; Microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, kettle, fridge, bedsheets, vacuum cleaner, etc. So coming here for the first time feels like a breeze.

The facilities were exceptionally well kept. There is a mini gym, laundry room, outdoor barbeque, vending machine, and a game room if you need to do errands or catch some entertainment.

The only complaint I have would be the noise level in the first level, especially for the rooms facing Grote Street. When the traffic gets busy, some of the sound leaks through.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend new students to try this accommodation option.

Safe secure place. Good facilities, clean. Houses and apartments have all appliances, furniture and fitting and utilities. Staff is friendly and students have lots of interactive activities. Location great.

Today I just had the pleasure of being guided on a tour by two truly remarkable ladies. Their infectious enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. It was reassuring to witness the students’ familiarity with the university staff at this facility, reflecting a strong sense of community. I also sensed a genuine commitment to student well-being, making it evident that students are well taken care of in this environment.

5/10 Location: Only have Chinatown & Central Market as a convenient location nearby. Very hard to get groceries from woolies/coles.

3/10 Price: Very expensive for quality of facilities. Building/rooms are very old. Some people pay same price for very different rooms. Some rooms very small and others very big and pricing is inconsistent and not fair. They will try charge your security deposit for any detail.

5/10 Rooms: Not space efficient and very dull designs. Poor lighting. Very thin walls. AC unit inconsistent per townhouse.

9/10 Staff: Staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. Best part about the village is the communal events and engaging with different people.

6/10 Amenities: The gym is a joke. The laundry area is slightly small and they don’t allow you to have your own hanging rack…for some reason they didn’t disclose so sometimes you have to wait long times and it may be inconvenient depending on where you are located. The rest is okay.

Summary: Overall, given the other options and price I recommend other student accommodations since the Village is literally the furthest student accommodation from Uni ironically, newer and better designed buildings, better amenities, more consistent, and worth the price.

Overall a decent place to stay but there are some things that need improving. I stayed in a townhouse with a private bathroom, the bedroom was quite large but there isn’t a lot of storage space. The kitchen was no where near big enough for 5 people, I had to leave most of my supplies in my room and bring them down when I needed them. The fridge and freezer was always so full you could barely buy any food to put in there which was quite annoying. I found the wifi to be quite unreliable as it was constantly dropping out. Staff were always super friendly and helpful though and there was always activities on/free food in the common room. Definitely handy that all utilities are included in the price but it is still a bit expensive considering you’re living with 4 other people. Another thing to note is the constant cooking smells that waft into your bedroom and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. It was so strong at times that I had to go outside to get some fresh air because it was so unpleasant. Accommodation is in a very good location though.

Never lived here, but had many a party within the walls of this establishment. I loved it. The staff are accommodating and always ready to get involved. The security are legends and always down for a banter. I love it there, wish I could live there but I can barely afford where I live now
