Amazing tans, funky boutique, and the best staff. The M&Co girls, assisted by a tan trial, helped me find my perfect colour for my wedding day that made me feel confident and tanned in my white dress – but didn’t look out of place next to my husband with his pasty ranga genes (and that was the true challenge).

Millie kindly opened the doors early for me and she whipped through a full face of makeup in half an hour. Opting for the natural look, it lasted for 12 hours until I washed it off and I didn’t have to retouch ANY of it all day. Loved it. Thank you Millie.

It pains me to share such a bad experience. My usual brow girl was away and I just needed a brow tint and lami. There was no brow mapping and the sweet girl that did my brows just hacked away with scissors. The tint didn’t look anything better than something you could do at home with a kit. If anything, I should have done it myself. Now the ends of my brows are so blunt and misshapen. So sorry, but this was not what I expected and for the price too.

I have been seeing Nilo and Humi for my brows for around 3 years now, and honestly it’s the best decision I’ve ever made! These two are not only incredibly talented but also so warm and welcoming every single time I visit. Victoria did a brilliant job of my hair and make-up. She is super lovely, made the whole process very comfortable and relaxed. Sonja was a life saver!!! With the recommendation coming from my hair dresser, Sonja was available after my other mua had canceled our wedding date and did every event leading up to the day including trial runs for myself and my mum, who had the honour of walking me down the aisle. My Cram-CHELLA themed hens party to our big day!

After only ever having foundation applied makeup done before, the skill and execution that comes from Sonja doing airbrush makeup and the end result is FLAWLESS!

She had made my mum feel so comfortable which was great to see, mum was worried being a little older and having not worn makeup very much she wasn’t sure how’d she look. Now for the big day!
Was this a busy morning! 1 Bride, 5 bridesmaids and 1 Mother of the bride all before we were “going to the chapel”.
After many messages back and forth and two trial runs, we picked a look that suited me best, more coverage, not so dewy (like we did for my hens) but still very natural! And Sonja had accommodated every request I had asked and achieved it with perfect results!

The bridesmaids makeup was simple yet elegant, she asked the girls questions about their skin and matched their skin tones perfectly! Very well knowledgeable and adaptability to accommodate everyone! Include my jnr bridesmaid who felt extra special sitting a makeup chair.

And as I mentioned before about my mum, Sonja had made my mum feel so comfortable which was great to see and made her feel so at ease and comfortable which was great to see and see how beautiful my mum looked all done up on our wedding day.

Everyone’s makeup had lasted all day! After some very emotional first looks, walking down the aisle, getting through the ceremony, a little bit of rain, and partying all night long. Everyone still looked amazing!

I started booking Sonja for makeup a few years ago for events and ended up cancelling the MUA I had booked for my wedding and replaced her with Sonja. She is so incredible at what she does and comes with so much knowledge as well. Leading up to the day she did my brows so they were perfect, gave me skincare advice when I asked, and after application she gives you a little container of the lipstick she used so you can reapply. She liaised with my hairstylist leading up to the day about beauty timelines, starting time, and all the things a bride shouldn’t have to worry about. She handled last minute changes like a pro, and even helped me with some big feelings and nervousness towards the end of getting ready. Myself and my girls absolutely love her vibe and it was like getting makeup done by a friend. I simply cannot recommend Sonja enough.

I contacted Sonja a week out from my Son’s wedding and she was very accommodating to fit me into her day. I was so pleased with my make-up look and feel. It lasted the whole day and evening. If Captain Jack Sparrow had strolled straight out of the Caribbean and into my birthday party, I’m pretty sure he would’ve been convinced he’d just discovered a long-lost twin. That’s how good Emma was with her make up skills. I gave Emma about as much notice as Jack gives when commandeering a ship (a.k.a. none at all)—and somehow, she pulled off such a transformation that I nearly grabbed Jack Sparrow’s compass and set sail for the Caribbean in search of lost treasure!

Great effort and will definitely be back for more when the next dress up party is on!

I was in Adelaide for a formal wedding last Saturday and forgot to book in ahead of time for makeup.

I walked in to/phoned Mecca, Sephora, David Jones and a couple of Adelaide based make up artists. All were predictably booked out.

I found a final place to try – Kryolan in the Rundle Mall. I’d never heard of the brand but they had good reviews so thought I would call on the Friday on the off chance there was a cancelation.

I spoke to Emma who was super helpful and said she could squeeze me in first thing on Saturday morning (I was so grateful I would have taken a 6am appointment – although the store didn’t open until 10am).

Emma was also my makeup technician. I have highly reactive skin/psoriasis so she was careful what she used on my face. She did such a great job (I opted for the ‘glam’ look). Better than that, it did not budge in the persistent rain or even when I got a bit teary! (She used a fixing spray). I even hugged my husband at one point then was worried I would smudge makeup all over his shirt but there was not a mark to be found.

Emma said the eyeliner would last 3 days (I was not so sure about that but decided to test it anyway! NB I removed all of the other makeup on my face that night but just left the black eyeliner Emma applied). It was applied on Saturday morning and I only took it off on Wednesday morning! Incredible.

I think I am a convert and will have to check out Kryolan in my home city.

I had the most fabulous time discussing makeup application in my appointment today with Adam .
As an ex make-up artist (trained in 2001) it was great to get a new look and some excellent tips on how to apply to … ahmm… mature skin (yes girls, it’s a thing !!) And yes, my partner picked up on the difference straight away and said my cheek bones look higher…
Adam was so good at explaining Kryolan products that was complimentary to my skin and how to turn a daytime makeup into a sultry evening look ❤️
Big plus on the prices too. Excellent value.

Adam was very helpful. I was torn between 3 TV sticks because I don’t have a background in makeup at all (just joined a Drag Class recently) and he made me comments that helped me decide, but also decide why I was making that choice based on my ‘underlying skin tone’.

I wasn’t totally happy with my hair and make up. Was very expensive for what was done. Was told I could later redeem the rest of my voucher which had no expiration. When I went back they said I couldn’t do this. Very annoying. Staff were lovely and just following directions of their manager. Would not go back after this experience

It’s always a delight to visit Kryolan in Rundle mall! This brand is impressive and truly excellent specially for professional makeup artists like me. Staff are very helpful and take the time to explain how to use different products and give some very helpful tips and tricks. Thanks to the many staff who assisted me in the past, special mention to Shivani who is very knowledgeable about the products.. talking to her is like having a makeup workshop.
Can’t wait for my next Kryolan visit!
