I treated my brother and my dad to THE barber shop experience at Plek barbershop after cutting their hair myself for years. Jared and Brayden were excellent! Since it was my family’s first time getting the razor shave they were a little nervous but the boys made sure to make them feel comfortable.
They made sure to take their time and not rush into anything, their consults were great not like other barbers who just do a short back and sides, they really take pride in creating a style just for YOU. My family is stoked with their new looks and said I now need to do a barbering course

Probably the best haircut I’ve ever had! Lochy was amazing, such a nice bloke and asked me all the right questions to find out what cut was right for me. From the moment I walked in, I was handed a cold beer and welcomed with great banter. Tim gave me the best cut I’ve had in over a year – he actually listened and nailed exactly what I’d been after. These guys are genuinely friendly, full of good vibes, and not shy with a hug. Can’t recommend them highly enough – talented, personable, and just bloody good at what they do.

Anthony, Dana and their team have been shearing and cutting mine and my family’s hair for 5+ years. Walking into the shop, it feels like you are walking into a friends place ready to watch the footy. The appointment booking system is always on time and reliable. They are great with kids (candy, basketball hoop, skateboard seat and spider man apron). The offer of a beer or a kombucha is always handy after a day at work. Anthony and Dana created an awesome space in the CBD with a real community amongst their neighbouring businesses and now they have added their Western Suburbs shop it makes it even easier to get my hair cut.

The best haircut I have ever had in this country! Very professional, polite, and knowledgeable staff. My partner and I were offered drinks and I had a beer while getting the high-quality haircut.
Lochy’s attention to details was what I always needed. Very happy with the results and will be back definitely.

I discovered Barber Story last year and now I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a cut. They are great…friendly, efficient and they take a real pride in their work. They do a cut which lasts well too and are very modestly priced.
Best of all, you know that each time you visit, you’ll walk out with a great cut every time.

Today was my first time here, and I had an excellent experience. The service was great and the price was totally reasonable. I’m definitely going to get my hair cut here as long as I’m in Adelaide. The barber was really friendly and the vibe of the place was relaxed. I felt comfortable right away.

This place is it – had hair cut by both the chap and the lady (dont know names), both very very good, and the price is amazing- i always leave a tip because they honestly could charge more. Popped in for a quick beard trim. Request was to keep length, neaten up edges and give a tidy up. In what felt like record time I was told I was done – had lost half of my beard length, lost my grown out mustache, had a dry razor shave on edges, and had to point out that the whole thing was lopsided. Seemed a lack of care and more focused on getting me out quickly. Would not go back here

I got a haircut by matt. Did a fantastic job, one of the best I have had, and the overall service that I had was really good as well. Would definitely recommend.

I just left the salon and I’ve never had such a rushed experience. $67 for a 15-minute haircut with no attention to detail, no care, and no effort to make sure the result was actually good. It felt like they just wanted to get me in and out as fast as possible. The cut was sloppy, unfinished, and definitely not worth the price. I would not recommend this place at all

Never going to this place again!

I went today around 4 pm for a haircut and beard trim. The person who attended me was clearly rushing — the whole thing was done in just 15 minutes, and it was poorly done. He didn’t even bother to spray water before cutting my hair.

My partner had suggested trying a different place, but I chose this one only because it’s close by. Unfortunately, as an introvert, I just paid and left without saying anything at the time.

I’m done with this place — definitely not visiting again.

Hands down the best barber service you’ll find in Adelaide — and it’s not even close. I travel well out of my way just to come here, and it’s always worth it.

I regret that I cannot recall the name of the barber – but my limited memory suggests it was something like Shefz or Muhammad?! It was Friday, 14 March 2025 if that’s helpful for management to determine who was rostered on!

The barber was preparing to close and I arrived right on closing time – he helpfully agreed to do my cut and tidy up – thankfully, as I needed a cut going into the weekend before flying home!

The barber was talented, friendly, and efficient! I appreciated his willingness to help me out and for his can do attitude! More businesses need staff like the guy I encountered. Will go back for a haircut anytime!

I’ve had my beard styled at several different barbers specializing in beards, but I can honestly say none have come close to Mr Deans!

I found them by chance and booked in with the owner Shane. Super professional and a great guy to have a chat with. After explaining a different style I wanted to try with my beard, 20 minutes later and I haven’t looked back.

Shane offers everything – attention to detail, precision, clippers/scissors/foil/cut throat razors all used to get the perfect lines and blending. Included is a hot towel to smooth the face during the appointment.

So impressed with the consistency in service and results, I now also get my haircuts done by Shane. I’ve honestly never received so many compliments on my beard before!

Thanks guys – keep up the awesome work. You’ve set the barbering bar incredibly high!!

Had a truely terrible haircut a few hours before my work Xmas function at a barber in Rundle mall then was referred to the men’s room by a mate and called to see if they could squeeze me in without an appointment and even though they didn’t have any free spots they made time for me and fixed my hair. Christian knows his job and gave me the exact haircut I was looking for. He was accommodative and also cared to comment on my hairstyle. Scissor cut is rare these days and The Mens Room is the perfect place for a scissor cut. Strongly recommend. Better take an appointment before you go, as they can’t always fit walk-ins.

Shame I had to reach middle age before finding the best barbers around! A joy to visit. Fun, friendly vibe, down to earth, no frills and incredibly skilled barbers. Highly recommended.

First time visit to this barber. Not very impressed with the finished product. Got a buzz cut and beard trim for $65. Beard was very uneven along jaw line upon closer inspection once got home. I guess i should have payed more attention while I was in the chair and tried to get fixed. My fault, but will definitely not be going back. Buzz cut was fine, just disappointed with the beard.

Great location. Appointment was easy to get. Peter is a master at his craft and quickly got me the look I was wanting. I’m just a tourist passing through, but if I lived here this would be my full time barber.

Peter has been cutting my hair for over 20yrs, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. He’s been cutting my son’s hair since he sat in my lap as a baby, and now as a fashion conscious teenager! Peter can do anything from us older blokes to the very latest, cutting edge styles. He’s an award-winning hairdresser and also a fantastic human-being. I couldn’t recommend him higher. In fact I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!
